  • Thank you for the video, my question is: doesn't salt soak up all the meat's moisture and make the kebab very dry?

  • @amirabbassabbagh no, not at all, salt is the most important seasoning that you could possibly use for any food. Don't be afraid of salt, it is a wonderful thing :)

  • @elisabeta13 Allspice Black pepper Cinnamon Cloves Nutmeg Fenugreek Ginger

  • I had some beef kebabs tonight. Top sirloin, red & green peppers & red onions & mushrooms. I use soy sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder as a marinade. I was out of olive oil though. They were still good. I will seek out this "seven spices" compound and give it a try one day. Great vid!

  • @localcrew sounds great, you can find 7 spices on my site :)

  • What happens if you use some lemon juice as a marinate?

  • @FromSouthforkTexas you can definitely add it, it will also help to tenderize the meat :)

  • I think it would be better if you would add fresh onion cut into chunks and marinate it for 24 hour

  • @ashag28 that's a great suggestion :)

  • Would you consider using yogurt with the spices to marinade?

  • @lshingle1 Definitely, you can add yogurt to any marinade, my mom uses it a lot as well :)

  • Hi Dede thank you for all of your vidoes! I have been looking high and low for "7 Spice" to make some of your dishes at home. What exactly am I looking for and what can I use if I can't find something called "Seven Spice" I want it to be as close to yours as possible! I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Is there a particular type of store I should try? OH! I also can not find pickled turnip ANYWHERE! How do I make them?

  • you can buy 7 spices on my site :) or you can try checking a Greek/Lebanese/Turkish store. I will be making a pickled turnip video soon :)

  • Thank you for getting back to me :o)

  • wow looks great, i use to have those all the time before. plus with you as a chef its hard not to like it ;)

  • thank you so much for the nice comments :)

  • @dedemed hi can these skewers be grilled in an electric oven? if so what is the best temperaure setting? thanks.

  • check out the written recipe, soak the wooden skewers in water first for 15 minutes.

  • hi, have you left your site? why aren't you updating new videos there?

  • most of the videos are updated, I do need to post the 2 most recent releases and they will be up this weekend I promise. I am trying my best to keep up with all of my sites and answer every questions. I will do better I promise :)

  • thank u its really look soo yummy i wanna try it

  • it's so easy and fast too :)

  • We need garlic. lemon and some hot pepper added to this meat . Mama mia delicious

  • yes, you can add those to the marinade as well, but sometimes you'd be surprised that simple is sometimes better. I love the taste of filet so I don't like to use to many overwhelming ingredients that take over that meet flavor :)

  • We want vegetarian Shish Kabab.

  • I will add it to my list of recipes to come I promise :)

  • ummm drooling, looks so yum

  • Can I use the oven as a medium to grill the meat? If so, then how can I do it? Thanks!

  • Can I use the oven as a medium to grill the meat? If so, how can I do it? Thanks! Looks amazing!

  • Yes you just need a high heat like 450. Just lay the skewers across a drip pan.

  • Exactly! they taste great in the oven too!

  • Et tu reste toujours belle avec des bons recipes.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • yum yumm

  • Looks good!

  • rib eye or tri tip may work, no?

  • @jdkbriggs rin fact i would use rib eye over filet , cus rib eye have much morew fat to it and it will set alot of flavor to the meat.

  • @mimiruu

I use sirloin steak or tri-tip. Much more flavor than filet. These cuts will absorb a marinade flavor more than filet will.

  • Yes you can definitely use sirloin or tri-tip but I love filet b/c you are guaranteed a tender meet, give it a try :)

  • that's true but for people trying to eat healthy, filet would probably be the better way to go :)

  • yum
