Hey I Watched! Great Video And Great Musics! I Like That A Lot! I'm Just Only A Guitarist Who Sing Feelings From My Soul And At The Moment I Looking For Friends To Make Some Musics And Touring Specially A Bassist And A Drummer! I Give Thumbs Up! All The Best For Every Body! Feels By Assa!
Now this is kick ass Rock n Roll kiddies. If they could bring the acts of the 60s & 70s to todays media, theyd sell a Billion albums. No one can touch this today. I am very thankfull I was a teenager back then and was around to see it all happen. I just hope more young people catch on to what real Rock was and start enjoying it. Keep on Rockin!!!!!
This song is sick. I was 3 years old when my father teach me about music. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and The Police. This is my "mantra". Deep Purple I thank YOU for your music. BTW we (me and my old man) saw DP in Rzeszow, Poland this year. Awesome.
@4threconmarine you said "That chick with the long hair and purple top is some dudes grandmother now." in an ignorant manor, and it wasn't meant to affect the video, you just need to watch what you say about these people because some of them were other peoples family members who passed away and are missed R.I.P.
@oldrsisftw You started the fight jackass.Besides,I really think you are full of shit.I doubt if that chick really is your Aunt. You probably just got a hard on for her after watching the video.
Incredible. In 73', I was only 13, and had the Machinehead album and blared it nightly. Gillan was about to leave the band in the summer of 73', the break up of the famous Deep Purple MKII. I got the Made in Japan album later, and discovewred weed and tube tops (yummy) the same summer. Man I miss the 70's!!!
I also loved this version of Deep Purple, but you can't take away MKIII. I also think that what was done with David Coverdale was great to. It's when Blackmore left that things were not the same. That said! Deep Purple is one of the best bands to come out of the 70's. I still listen to Made in Japan, sounds like it came out yesterday.......
Deep Purple ruled the roost back in '73. What a lineup. Phenomenal band. Five truly talented individuals that when they played together magic was made. This is a true classic.
If you just mean Ian Gillan was indispensable to Deep Purple's sound, I've got no problem with what you say. But I think you're wrong to slight the incredibly hard rocking- and sophisticated- playing of Blackmore, Lord, Glover, and Paice.
That is awesome that Hofstra had a kick-ass rock and roll band like that. I wish they had a quality rock band like that when I was there. Anyone know where at Hofstra this concern was? It looks like the JC Adams Playhouse but I'm not positive.
He is simply the best guitarist in rock. Page is a producer, songwriter, showman, arenger; and a man who also can play pretty well. Bit if we only are talking about a creative guitarplayer that people will talk about for the day and years to come; its only the man in black that to pick; he is history, today and tomorrow
Ha !! Lord even uses his old ring modulator !!! I haven't heard that effect for years !!!! And Gillan's voice is SO awesome !!! This was from the years right around when he did "Jesus Christ Superstar" . Oh, my: What a set of pipes ! And who's the babe at 6:45 ???? Diggin' it ! Peace :-)
this is unbelievable. Hofstra needs to get some better converts.. they got deep purple back then ... I am not an undergrad student anymore, but I would love to see them get some good concerts.

The best Deep Purple song ever made in my opinion.
And it has bits of Mandrake Root and Fools added into the mix.
