Well sorry folks but these dogs have nothing to do with Australia So why call them Australian Shepherds You want a real Aussie dog get yourself an Australian Cattle dog its a proper breed and has been around for about 140 years. @TPapania You need to calm down...the reason it's named the Australian Shepherd is because it's ancestors were sheepdogs from Australia and New Zealand. They originated in California in the 1800's as a working dog that could suit Cali's climate. There is absolutely no need to go and hate on any breed of dog just because it has a name, given by humans mind you, that has nothing to do with it's origin. You clearly don't respect dogs or know much about them for you to act so immaturely.
