Aly and AJ aren't gone! They just renamed themselves. They're 78violet now. I don't know why, but my best friend told me. They're still making amazing music!

@carlenebode They changed their name because they left Hollywood Records.

Hollywood records has the name Aly & Aj on a contract so they are allowed to keep the name from them if they want.

Anyways Aly & Aj were forced to start all over making their album because hollywood records took all their songs that they worked on.

They are currently still working on a new album, they have been twittering that they are writing new songs and recording demos.

They also need a new label most likely.
