That back light is hard to find for the Dt I think when every one takes them off to make them woods bikes They just throw them out . eBay there is this guy I know he got lots of parts I'll see and let you know.

you say you got a good deal on it. I wonder how much did you pay? I bought mine for 800.00 in 2001. it was in similar condition to your bike when i bought it. the first dirt bike I ever owned. I was 19 years old. barely even rode a dirt bike before that. I still have it, and I just posted a video today.
I had it out in the mountains with the serious riders with their 2008's and shit and they were very impressed with what the old girl an do with a decent rider.
I had a 78 Dt 250, great bikes. The only problems well known on these bikes is the premix injector mechanism. They always go bad. My 250 was a friggin beast, i couldnt believe how fast it was when a first rode it. That 400 will fly once you get it dialed in, oh wait this is a year old vid lol, it probably flies now.

i almost fit my dads dt 400 but it has difrent wheels, i got a suzuki drz125l it 1 inch lower alot more power though i suggest u people get a drz125l
