Today is the 10 year anniversary of his passing. I remember this game very vividly. I was a freshman and my parents came up from Houston to visit and see a game. We were not disappointed - the game was intensely emotional. Great outcome. RIP #44.
i read marc pittmans book and when i heard about this in the book i had to see it for my self i think it let his dad no he was watching over him and his team that night praise god for the things he does
Major is coming home to Austin and i will bet all the monies in my pocket to all the monies in someone else's pocket that Cole is smiling. I'm pretty confident Chance and Vince are as well.
God blessed the Pittman family in many ways. I know this was special to Cole,s momma, daddy, and brother, and all that knew him. I only know him by reading the book Mr. Pittman wrote about his boys... "Raising Cole" God bless you all....
this shows exactly how special TEXAS football actually is! this team (2001) was special I really wish they would have beat colorado and won the national championship
I can't come down too hard on mack for going with sims against colorado. they had already crushed them earlier that year and at first glance simms was taller, faster, had a stronger arm and his dad was phil. plus he was the q.b. for the next season to come. how was mack supposed to know that he was a choker.
I don't know. but I do know that is one of the saddest moments in U.T. history because TEXAS had the number one defense in the nation that year and I think they would have matched up well with miami and beaten them. yes, miami put up big numbers but the big east sucked that year.
Hook'em!

I think once we reach 44 likes we should disable the like feature so it stays at 44 or if that resets it to zero just forget what I said.

As a Texas Longhorn fan from birth I'm biased, but I think Mack Bown is a class act. Maybe the classiest coach in all of college football.

@usamericanz
As an Alabama fan I agree with you. Mac Brown is a man of integrity and class

Why didn't you play Major in the Big 12 CG? Your other QB gave CU 21 points off interceptions.
