How to set up the AKAI LPD8 usb controller in Fruity Loops

I have installed the LPD8 editor but when i go to midi settings and press enable, it says "undefined external error" (directly translated from Finnish into English :D ), so you know what is the problem?

cheers man. Got this working after much stress. FL7 users, select learn on the drop down then hit pad (could'nt find last hit option) but will will work just the same

Every time I set a sound to a pad, then try to set the next pad, the next pad triggers the first pad's sound. What can I do so not all 8 pads trigger the same sound?

Thanks for the video but the only issue I'm have is once I set one sound to the pad then try and set the other pad its making the sound from the last pad on the empty one I'm trying to set

i've got fl9 , i do everything right , and when i try to set my pad by "last hit' is no reaction - pad still doesn't work. what can i do?

In the FPC on FL9, the last hit in midi note is always C5. cant get any sound when triggering the pads on the LPD8

hi i just got mines yesterday and im trying to set it up but all of my pads trigger  together, like if i hit the pad and then choose last hit it works for the first pad but then i do the second and it triggers both the first and the second, how do i fix it plz and thank you

@MrYoyoaddicted Yeah, it works as well. But it's not pressure sensitive. An LPD8 or MPD18 are pressure sensitive.

hey i have MPK mini which is same as LPD8 just whit keyboard, i can do pads but i cant do knobs. I did completly same as you did and nothing happens, should i do something in editor? sorry for my bad english

I have FL studio 7, I have FPC but in the MIDI note there is no "Last hit" option when I go on it... there is LRN written on it apart from the usual notes... could that be it?

yo ive tried to do this put when i try to link 1 pads on fl to the controler pad it links all the pads on the controler to the one pad in fl and if i try n link the 2nd pad on fl it links both sounds to all the pads on my controler..... 1: can i have my keyboard and my pld8 plugged in and in use in flstudio at the same time?

2: i tried the knob thing with the few knobs i have on my keyboard but, when i put all the knobs the the track and i test em one more time(and i have 5knobs) knob 5: works Knob4: works knob3: when i move it nothing happens there but insert 5moves knob2: works knob1: same problem as knob 3. any suggestions? @Nazboyjerk I think you must have the "CC" button lit up instead of the "PAD" button. You want the "PAD" button to be lit up.

@JDrummaB32 I'm not in front of mine at the moment to test it out, but..... Maybe press the 'Program' or "Pad Change" button..... If not, you need to use the Akai LPD8 Editor.

will this work the same with the akai pro mini? because all of my pads are picking up as the same sounds, whenever i hit a pad it clicks on all of the sounds on the FPC. im confused as hell i need help

@savageonthebeat So before you come in to Fruity Loops you need to use the supplied software (Akai LPD8 Editor). You can download it free from their site I believe.
