Kyle Rau was amazing that game and its so awesoem to have him playin for the Gophers. he brings so much life to the team. it'll be amazing to see him in the NHL someday

One of the best state championship games of all time!! What was interesting was that UMD's playoff game went to 3 overtimes as well. They showed this game on the tv screens at Amsoil Arena as well as the main scoreboard during the intermissions. It was quite the roller coaster ride for fans across the northland that day!!

Look at any NCAA team, and if you add it up there are more kids from MN than ANY other single state. They come from HS, USHL, canadian tier 2, etc..... get your head out of your ass. damn.

Rau was a great high school player and will be a good college player but he won't make the NHL. He's got no size, plus he's gotta compete with all the other college kids plus junior leagues in the US and Canada as well as all Europe! Watch him now cause in 4 years you won't see him anymore.

Duluth East is my prediction winning it. they're only losing like 5 players. they have their leading scorers returning. and they're physical, fast, and good with the puck. and they have outstanding goaltending.

@MNHockey26 yeah i was thinking duluth east vs. eagan... but next year after.. i think the shocker team will be tartan. they only lose like 3 D.. 1 forward basically. so they'll have power up front and strong d. but the goalies in my mind will be this years jv goalie. and the 9th grader next year that made A bantam. and i'll probably be on the team look at ryan hartzell. probably gonna be one of the few sophomores on that team. and the junior class is their power class this year.
