  • Mike, You aren't going to become dependent from taking your meds when you are in pain. Please don't cause yourself any unnecessary suffering!

On another note; I would hope that I would be brave enough to give a friend an organ they need. You really are a hero!

  • Thanks for your comment dynomoose,

You're correct about not becoming dependent on pain meds in the short period during my recovery. I know the body heals better when it isn't in pain. My Doctor suggested that if I have a high tolerance to pain. I may take Extra Strength Tylenol during the day and save my Narcotic for bedtime meds to get a more comfortable sleep or for those moments when a grandchild or pet impact my wound area. • Thanks naynay857,

My Doctor didn't have to much compassion about my Surgery area or the fact that I passed a 3/4" blood clot through my urethra after the surgery. (Stephen's Doctor) felt great compassion for me and compared my experiences to both having a 4oz. C-section & 3/4"dia. urethra birth. So I thank you for your comments.

    Best wishes,

    FirehouseMike (Old guy)

  • I think its great that you try not to take the pain meds.Thats how I am too. I know what you mean about where the pain was. I had two c sections and the pain would be above where they cut me.
