Fantom-G Version 1.50

You rock. One thing I've been trying to figure out is how projects work. Is it a good idea to save each song into its own separate project?

Quick, but probably dumb question! When I updated the update to 1.5 it adds all the new patches, but when I restore my project they all seem to go away.. Is there anyway to add the new sounds while still keeping my old project?? Thank you.

I JUST CHECKED THE SMF FOLDER IN MY CUSTOM PROJECT FOLDER,

ITS 512MB OF SMF FILES NOT 2GB, MY NEXT QUESTION IS HOW BIG CAN A PROJECT FOLDER BE? MY MEMORY RAM IS 30MB, I'M ONLY ABLE TO SEE SO MANY MIDI FILES FROM THAT PROJECT. IS THE PROJECT FOLDER TO BIG FOR 30MB? WHEN YOU LOAD YOUR PROJECT DOES IT LOAD EVERYTHING LIKE THE AKAI MPC PROJECT FOLDER? IT ONLY ALLOWS ME TO LOAD SO MUCH MEGABITS OF INFO NO MATTER HOW MUCH RAM I HAVE RIGHT? SO WHY I'M I HAVING SYSTEM FREEZE UP PROBLEMS?

(2) I DIDN'T HAVE DIDN'T HAVE THE FREEZE PROBLEM ON TIL I PUT ALL THOSE SMF FILE IN MY USB PROJECT FOLDERS, NOW IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO LOAD MY PROJECT. BY TH WAY MY PROJECT IS THIE ORIGINAL PROJECT FILE THAT CAME WITH THE FATOM BUT ITS ON MY USB. SEEM TO ME IT SHOULD MATTER BECAUSE WHEN YOU CREATE A NEW PROJECT IT COPIES ALL THE BIN FILES TO YOUR USB ANYWAY.

(1) I JUST GOT G6 LAST WEEK, I HAVEN'T UPGRADED THE RAM YET, IS IT COMING FOR THE G6 TO FREEZE UP AFTER YOU LOAD PROJECT FROM YOUR USB MEMORY FLASH CARD WITH SAY 2GB OF SMF FILE? i spoke to a technical support guy, he told me to send you an email about my Fatom G6 about freezing up.

I HAVE NO UPGRADES. DO I NEED TO UPDATE WITH 1.3 FIRST THEN 1.5 AFTERWARD? OR IF I ONLY LOAD 1.5 WILL THAT CATCH ME UP WITH EVERYTHING FROM 1.3 AS WELL?

Hi! Does this upgraded project contain ALL the previous preset and user patches contained in the FG Connects project? I understand there are lots of new patches in the Live Project, but are all the previous ones included with the new ones? I mean, they added patches or replaced some of them?

i think many of us need to know how to do the update and reset without deleting all of our live set, song, and patch info that we have modified,

show us that and that would be great!!

@grymmtymm you should have it saved to a thumb drive if you saved it to your fantom them you can still back it up

@Phughy back up your work on a flashdrive-then update after you update restore your work that u saved

@Phughy just put the update on the flashdrive and update with back up already on it-or just back up your stuff-put the folder on your computer,then update....trust me,if you do it one of these ways ull save ur work and update your fantom----i did so i know u can. read the read me file that comes with the update.
