You need scriptwriters to write the movie (or write the script yourself), and then have the actors rehearse for their parts, and then drop the script in the set for filming. Then release the movie.

When in game, just "export" the movie. You will be asked the quality you want - click "online". Then go Movies folder that is created in My Documents when the game isinstalled. It should be there as a .wmv file. Once on Youtube this is the file you want to upload.

I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Especially now that its pretty cheaply bought. The only real downside (I think) is that many of the shots only have 2 or 3 angles you can choose from. This however is solved if you get the game with the expansion which allows use of a "free cam". Either way, I feel its worth it. For instance, I made this one w/o the expansion.

One thing I hate about the game is they don't provide a sandbox movie maker you have to do that within in the game and the tools provided aren't enough. If someone came out with a movie maker game on it's own alot of people would buy it.

Its been awhile, but if I recall, when you are still in game, you can "export movie" you can then slect the quality of the export from High, medium, low, and online. Selcect online and then the movie should be in .WMV format in the same folder as the original .trl.

Im pretty sure this is how it went. One thing I'm sure of is that I didnt have to convert anything.

Yes, you can import music right into the movie. Also can import sound effects, though there are a lot to use that come with the game.

They upload very easily to Youtube as well. You export the movie from the game to your hard drive, then upload it from there as a .wmv file. A 4 or 5 minute movie from the game takes about 5 minutes to upload to youtube.

Get it dude, you will not be dissappointed.

That depends on how much you want to do with it. A quick 5 minute movie could take 10 minutes or so. But if you get more intricate, and more fussy with the editing, sounds, and voices, it could take a 2 or more hours.

The biggest limitation that the regular game has is that all the camera angles are prerendered. Usually you can choose from 2-3 angles, but thats all. With the expansion you can use "freecam" mode which enables you to use any angles you want.

But there is tons you can do without the expansion. For instance, most of the Movies I have on Youtube were made before I had the expansion, including this one.

Hey bud,

"The Movies" game automatically creates a "THe Movies" folder under My Documents. Look in there it should be there. Again, thats "My Documents"/"The Movies" Your exported movies will be in there as .wmv files.
