When John Wayne went around to veterans hospitals to visit the injured, they all told him to get the fuck out of their face. They knew, unlike Wayne, the advertisements for war were a lie . . . just as Wayne's movie persona was a lie.
@jusbow567 Strange as it may seem, "Duke" comes from the name of his Airedale dog he owned earlier in life. It's kind of like how "Indiana" in "Indiana Jones" comes from the family dog (see "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade").
b7 asked a stupid question which required "Captain Obvious" to blah-zay in to the rescue. "where the heck are leaders like this today?" That is the 'stupid question' of the YouTube year.
You asked "where the leaders are." Where have they always been? Nowhere.
Neither John Wayne nor Obama is a place. Actors are not leaders: they are script readers. Politicians are also actors, professional talkers. They are not leaders, either.

The Duke won so many wars all on his own (at least according to the movies) that we should disband all of our armed forces and let him be an "Army of One."

I greatly dislike John Wayne. He was a draft dodger and a cheesy actor (for the most part). He should have had enough humility so as not to accept any role in a war movie.

John Wayne was neither leader nor soldier. John Wayne was an actor.

No kidding captain obvious. What gave it away, the fact that the title of this video has the word "movie" in it?
