  • isnt that thing uncomfortable as hell? or ass hell?

  • I want one pick with light D:

  • Looks cool for live shows and stuff. That pick can't be comfortable.

  • crotch shot!

  • i want that pick T_T

  • Devils tooth pick hahaha

  • can you tremolo shred or do pinch harmonics with it?

  • Music and a light show!

  • U almost got me there like this

  • It's the Pick of destiny that KG and Jack were looking for!!

  • @gbc77000 it's kind like the pick of destiny 2.0

  • great playing but all i think is what a wast of money the only good think is youl never lose it

  • nice video!!!

  • his power is in his pick

  • u noticed hes hardly using the pick lol

    hes just finger picking

    good song though lol

  • Yeh, Same with me.. I find it easyier when I'm doing lil riffs like that to use my ring and pinky to finger pick the bottom strings.. and its a nice tip when you learn newer stufff

  • he used it for the solo...?

  • Sick:]

And yeah Danialslife the beginning DOES sound like rugrats.

    ROFL

  • its easier to tune a bass down to C than to buy a new sevenstring guitar.... still the idea of an eightstring is awesome!

  • why dont you just get some heavier strings 11-52 should do but i use 9-42 for one of my guitars and 12-56 for the other

  • I dont use heavier strings because I have a bass that does the work... and because I like to use 9-42 strings.

  • the early riff sounds like the rugrats theme lol... good job anyway!!!!!

  • awesome

    wat song is that

  • oh ok lol

  • they most likely ment 8 half steps.

  • wouldnt tuning it down 8 steps make the strings so lose that you wouldnt even be able to play?

  • Yeah.

  • Most probably. If you wanna go that low just get a sevenstring and tune it down or go even further down by getting an eightstring....

  • how the hell do u tune a guitar 8 steps down??

  • Buy a bass and tune it down to C

  • no jackfenderrox....on a standard guitar not a bass...and are u trying to be funny? or are u one of those ppl who thinks hes so cool for knowing obvious things like that?...just no. fail. wait...no...EPIC fail.

  • Actually I was offering an option, also pointing out the fact that standard guitars dont go down 8 steps.

You however, are just a pit monkey who strayed beyond the bondaries. dude really, get a life, and stop "Flaming noobzz!!!1!!2£!!!"

  • nice pick.. wat is it

  • cool

  • what pick is that? pretty crazy!

  • pick makes me smile

  • nice pick =p

  • people have the best conversations on youtube lol

  • damn what size strings u use???

  • he must tune in like e, but a full octave lower, it looks like those are 17's, cuz i use 14's and i can only tune down to like A

  • for god's sake no...no 6 string guitar can handle an octave lower detuning without sounding like shit,no matter the string gauge...the neck just can't handle it and the scale isn't appropriate...i believe the detuning limit for a six string is 6 steps down, but you still have to deal with loose strings even with a big gauge.....those guys in shred academy usually tune to standard tuning or half step down i think

  • you can NOT just blatantly say that, it depends on wat kind of gear you use and how you eq it my friend, and that puts no stress on the neck either, if your "detuning it so low" theres hardly any tension on the strings anyways right?

    :P

  • low tension with a significantly lighter string gauge than a bass one means bigger string oscillation right?which means the note will go from high to sharp with a smaller frequensy wich will make the note sound somehow out of tune.almost no tension also means a backbow for the neck thus leading to fret buzz

  • yah when you tune low, you use heavier gauged strings, and you CAN shim the neck and adjust the truss rod

  • I agree that u can adjust the truss rod...i just don't agree that the strings won't be loose..damn its a freaking octave down..you can't possibly play such things with loose strings..the scale must be different...piccolo basses for instance can hold it cause they are designed for working with light gauges..and anyway he is not detuned an octave lower.his strings may indeed be heavy, but that doesn't mean anything...he may actually like heavy gauges even in standard tuning

  • wouldnt that hurt ur fingers playin in e standard, wow

  • NO PAIN NO GAIN HAHAHAHA...imagine what good bassists are going through..tapping slapping etc with strings heavy as a cow...my bro is a bassist so i know.. :P

  • oh shit, i never thought of that, that would suck

  • It's not the wound strings that hurt on a heavy gage or bass (Unless ofcourse you have a huge action and you have to sit on the string to get it to touch the fret =P) it's the high E B and maybe G (if you dont have a wound one) as they cut into your hand when they're 15's or above

  • Find a guitar player that tunes his strings lower than 2 steps down and I'll give you a quarter.

  • cannibal corspe have done, and machinehead

  • Then you tell me what songs, because I've listened to plenty of Cannibal Corpse, Pantera, etc. and I can never find a song lower than 2 steps down.

  • amon amarth

  • frantic disembowelment . they play it in A# standard so its 2.5 steps down from standard :D

  • 2.5 is different than 4-8 steps like the one guy said

  • i meant 2.5 whole steps, not half.

  • How can you have two and a half whole steps with no half steps? The .5 would be a half step....

And two and a half steps is NOT the same as 8 steps. Damnit.

  • NILE they tune to dropped A....The Vision Bleak tuned down to Bb ..Neither of them use seven string though

  • That's still about 4 whole steps. The guy a few weeks ago said some band tuned down 8 steps.

  • there is a difference between what someone was said and reality...basically they could have tuned down 8 steps but i guess they would sound as a fart machinegun XD ...not even a baritone 6 string can handle that...

  • ehm... then you must have only heard the older stuff, because now pat and rob play in (and have done it for a while) in A or A#. Equals 3 or 2,5 steps down.

    Make them suffer & decency defied f.ex = A#

  • The start of the discussion was that some guy said some bands drop 8 steps....2.5, 3, 4, whatever is not 8. NO bands drops 8 steps.

  • anyone who plays deathchordz

  • How do you know they don't just use a 7 string?

  • okay wheres my quarter?

  • ask your mom

  • Meshuggah, Ion Dissonance, For The Fallen Dreams etc etc

  • I said give examples of a specific song that uses 8 steps down tuning....

  • Nice Pick ! :D
