this is a perfect example of what i call "MAKE IT A LOT AND LOUDLY" style. completely void, vain, dry. if you take rachmaninow or skriabin and sieve it to get rid of all deeper emotions, the precipitate you will get will be Alkan.
@MotoMen Really? I regard Alkan as deep as any of those composers. Just because Alkan's music might be more technically challenging doesn't mean it sacrifices any musicality.

I love the absolutely peculiar change from 0:55 to 0:58. It dissapointed me at first, but it is truly very beautiful.
