Some people seem to forget the golden rule "TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO TREAT YOU". I learned this golden rule from my parents when I was very young and I still use it in my everyday life. I guess not all came from good moral upbringing. It's really sad what happened to Charice's dad. It's hard to lose a family member especially a parent. When I lost my dad to cancer in '99, I felt numbed for a few days then my mother passed away 3 weeks later, I couldn't function for months. God keep you Charice and be strong. It's good to have family and close friends with you in this trying times. Mahalin mo and mga magagandang alaala naiwan nang ama mo at kalimutan yun masama. My deepest sympathy and God bless you & family!

@maeamaie fyi :) this mini-show is actually held in front of the busiest train station in tokyo. if you check the beginning of this video, you will notice that some are actually trying to direct people to go on their way so as not to block the commuters who were on their way to the station. they didn't really mean to have too many people there that's why they had the live streaming. i guess first come, first served. :)

Here in the US, I toured almost all states till Canada and I tell you that people has demographic favorite, means in the city - those popular ARE NOT THE GREAT SINGER, JUST ENTERTAINER... Then those lives outside urban places, they love so much REAL SINGER and char ice is one of them because she has the best voice this decade produced. Every time my daughter play it to her friends, they will say that is an excellent voice that no singer now can do. She just needs great songs to cater the urban

@straightarrow372 oops! sorry. google doesn't understand most languages (not only mine) .. anyway, i was saying, in the philippines, when it rains, pinoys won't show up to their appointments. and they won't say the real reason that " they are lazy to go out because it is raining".they will cancel appointments telling lies about the real reason..a bad habit that pinoys still carry with them in other countries.

so a tip for you, if you have an appointment with a pinoy and suddenly it rains, don;t leave your house unless your pinoy friend says he's out of the house to meet you. 99% that pinoy will cancel it . pinoys love to curl up in bed when raining...rain makes pinoys "lazy"...but they won't admit it. it is a shame to say you're lazy because of the rain.

There is no need to stop those haters, Charice made it, she has been surviving when she was still a child, and that she will survive because of her character, determination and confidence. In fact those haters are helping her, to remember what her past is. @maeamaie fyi :) this mini-show is actually held in front of the busiest train station in tokyo. if you check the beginning of this video, you will notice that some are actually trying to direct people to go on their way so as not to block the commuters who were on their way to the station. they didn't really mean to have too many people there that's why they had the live streaming. i guess first come, first served. :)

Here in the US, I toured almost all states till Canada and I tell you that people has demographic favorite, means in the city - those popular ARE NOT THE GREAT SINGER, JUST ENTERTAINER... Then those lives outside urban places, they love so much REAL SINGER and char ice is one of them because she has the best voice this decade produced. Every time my daughter play it to her friends, they will say that is an excellent voice that no singer now can do. She just needs great songs to cater the urban

If you look at her Bio at Wikepedia to the right of the page, you will see that she has been active as an entertainer since 1977 and even before that and had even appeared with her mother (a successful recording artist) in NYC clubs, and singly in person.
After many appearances in clubs including CBGB, she was discovered in the early 80s and signed by Clive Davis of Arista Records to a contract IN 1983, confirming my statement.

@rsobrevinas I believe he was referring to the CBGB part of your post. I agree with @Bulshitero as WH's wikipedia, facebook, and her official website does not make mention of CBGB. Besides, CBGB catered mostly up to its closure to the genres of punk rock, new wave, etc. WH does not do any of those and are not in her portfolio. Sorry for this out of topic post.

@SaTrinomaNagkita It may be true that most of the acts in CBGB were New Wave, Punk Rock etc,, But it was also a business, and would cater to other genres that are popular with the public, particularly when local talent with a huge following was involved and they had empty slots. Just good business.
Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center cater almost exclusively to classical music; but I have seen many pop concerts there including James Taylor, Carole King, and Cindy Lauper.

WARNER RECORDS: Let Charice soar in your recordings. This Before it Explodes version should be the one in the record or at least add as a bonus track. This is the finest pop/R&B track I have ever heard since watching Whitney Houston at CBGB live in the late 70s/early 80s, showing off the greatest R&B diva of her generation. The other songs are pop Tour de forces.

Even if you sum-up the music sales from those countries, it's nothing compared to what she will earn in Japan. Right now, her INFINTY album is #1 in iTunes Pop Chart in Japan and #2 overall. This does not even include the theme songs she's doing for the Japanese TV shows and the theme for FF game. Plus her appearances in US and Asia.
Her team is starting & doing great with her 2nd album.
