However, I feel a lot of his policies will damage our economy. History has shown that when you raise taxes the government brings in less revenue, job growth decreases and job losses increase. All of the programs we have now to help combat poverty have done nothing to combat poverty.

Remember that it is congress that must approve the agenda. Obama has demonstrated superior leadership skills. That is what is important. He needs to have good experienced people around him but the leadership and lifting this country is his and I cant think of anyone else more capable.

Obama ran a wonderful campaign -there is no doubt.
However, I feel a lot of his policies will damage our economy. History has shown that when you raise taxes the government brings in less revenue, job growth decreases and job losses increase. Successful people should not be penalized for their success. And people who are not successful should not be given a hand out, but a hand up. All of the programs we have now to help combat poverty have done nothing to combat poverty.

Something has to be done to motivate the lower income earners to better educate themself. Most people who have amassed any kind of wealth got it from hard work, educating themself and sarifice -this money was not just handed to them.
