Slimkirby, I am glad that you agree that for games, the game play itself matters the most, not the graphics. This is one of the reasons why I choose to stay with Nintendo games. BTW, I hope that new Kirby game will be epic.

Only sad thing about Golden eye returning on the Wii is that the Wii's multiplayer online will ruin the whole experience. I mean, I haven't had much experience with it past Brawl but it definitely leaves much to be desired.
Brawl was rushed....rushed to the extreme. Nintendo actually has a pretty good online service, it's just that the team behind Brawl had no idea what they were doing. They made it much better in Mario Kart Wii and other games, so I wouldn't worry about the quality of the connections. Now, I would be concerned with what the game has to offer in multiplayer. I hope they don't limit the amount of content.

You can't diss a game just because it uses new-gen game mechanics.

To be honest, it depends what you like. I personally don't play FPS' that much but my PS3 is still my favourite console. LBP 2 looks AMAZING, and so does GT5!! Microsoft and Sony's conferences were a bit lacklustre, but maybe they have some big announcements in store. Kinect seems a bit like EyeToy tbh. PS Move seems OK.

You are honestly taking a personal opinion way out of context here. As for Kinect, I know it's new..I'm not stupid here, but it's not a new system or really that major of an undertaking, just an implementation of the 360. It's not preventing Microsoft from working on some more interesting games, whether Kinect is used with them or not. That was my gripe, that they focused too much on something that didn't need to be focused on.
I will admit that most of my comments did seem a bit confusing and a bit biased at first, but people made such a big fuss about me discussing this in the first place, plus the added pressure of paying attention to a video game at the same time...it's hard...no matter how many times you do this kind of thing, no matter for how long...something you will find out soon, since you are a starting LPer yourself, according to your videos.
As you can see, I admitted my mistakes....something as you said, many "fanboys" don't and probably would never do. Yeah I agree even if they got rid of the copying powers in the Kirby game, it still looked fun and unique (not to mention good artwork) and since my last comment I saw more E3 things and the others besides a few games (like Fable 3 and the new star wars etc) There really was very little the others had to offer. They seemed ashamed of there new Wii rip off and from what I heard it really didn't work all that well.

Slim merely found Nintendo to be better and didn't appear very impressed with Sony or Microsoft. Many felt this way. I don't see how this makes him a "fanboy". I only saw Microsoft and Nintendo's conferences. The only part of Microsoft's conference that wowed me was MGS. Nintendo, on the other hand, was AWESOME. I can't wait for DKC, Kirby, and Kid Icarus.
So i'm guessing either they didn't present any or they didn't take too long on them. It seems their presentation isn't so different . Personally I would rather have a new game detached from these name brand series but just as great as them. I'm getting tired of being a man in green saving a magic princess, I've done it about 5 times now. The stories of main brand games don't change much so it just seems their upgrading the same old game.
Ok, first off, I want to commend you for at least using logic against my statements, because I will admit that after watching these videos back, my comments sounded more biased than I intended, and I do want to apologize for that. This recording was kind of a mess in how I planned it out and a lot of my statements lost their.....meaning.... I guess. That's mostly my fault....
Now, you are right in that Nintendo did announce pretty much all classic franchise games (no original titles) as well. However, I thought the content of those games themselves were pretty original, and even if they weren't, they were games that haven't been made in over 10 years now. For example, there hasn't been a DKC game in almost 15 years now and I don't think anyone saw that coming.
As for other games....new Kid Icarus after about 20 years of the original....first remake of the 13-year old Goldeneye......new Kirby game with unique gameplay and art style....and not to mention the 3DS and a shocking amount of 3rd party support, an amount not seen for Nintendo in a long while. So while the games themselves are probably not original...it's the stories and the surprises that make them original, and that's what I meant.
Now, as for Sony and Microsoft, whenever they announced a sequel or threequel or whatever...this is the feeling I got from them...
Them: New Call of Duty!
Me: What sets this apart from the other ones.
Them: New Call of Duty!
Me: But what's unique about it?
Them: New Call of Duty.
I mean, it's almost like they intended to just release them for the sake of releasing them. At least the Nintendo games had an element of surprise and uniqueness.

I agree with you about the 3D stuff for Sony, I really don't want to sit and play games while wearing 3D glasses to get the most out of my game. I don't see what's wrong with the games already, they are already awesome with Blu-Ray graphics and stuff.
I agree with most of your E3 comments, Slim. I really hope that they keep Goldeneye 007 what it was and not try to make it like a James Bond Call of Duty (so to speak). Some new levels, weapons, and content would be nice -- especially in terms of multiplayer -- but I hope it mostly sticks to the same missions and format. As long as Jungle Commando is still playable, I'll be happy. =P
to be fair nintendo kinda did the same thing, announcing games and talk about things you would expect. The only difference was that Nintendo fans were asking for some games that go back to the old style and back to the old series. And like you said they had a lot of games to back it up. So I would say that Nintendo was the only company that met expectations this year. And I am proud to say I own 2 wii's! =D And I need to get a DSI x,x I hope that little insight made sense for I am a bit sick.
The way I see it, yeah, they announced games for well-established series, but the games themselves were surprising. There hasn't been a Donkey Kong Country game in about 15 years for crying out loud. That's big news. Also, for example, the new Kirby game. I had a feeling they would announce a new Kirby game, but when I actually saw what the game was...the gameplay and the unique art style....that on it's own was surprising. Even old tricks can be surprising if made unique.
@pokemanfanopener Actually it can. It can't play them in 3D obviously but the 3DS is indeed backwards compadable which is awesome. Miyamoto said so himself, I forgot where exactly but it has been confirmed to be backwards compadable.

@ILikePopCans Honestly, at least for me, I agree with slim, and not just because none of their games interest me. Sony's dragged way to long, and while they revealed some things that people had been waiting for, the majority of them were things people would expect.. There were exceptions of course, but the fact that it dragged on so long, something Nintendo has been criticized of for the past, really made it boring to watch. Sony didn't do a bad job though, just average IMO
@ILikePopCans (see my above comment first) and for microsoft, most of what they showed was just more footage. The Xbox slim was provably the highlight, everything else being just kinect and stuff few people (at least from my point of view, I could be wrong) cared about like the ESPN deal. Nintendo on the other hand started off with zelda, got the more"casual" titles out of the way fairly earlier on, and then just kept a steady pace giving new announcements.

MIcrosoft did actually announce some great games as : Gears of war 3, Halo Reach and Fable 3. But i do agree that they should have talked less about Kinect as that is microsoft's attempt to beat Nintendo and Sony, but it is awesome that you will be able to use kinect in the new star wars game. I think that Nintendo should stop trying to churn money out of the Nintendo DS, i mean get over it guys you need to stop yelling out your name. Being fair to Microsoft, the 360 "Slim" announcement was masterfully done. Giving free ones out and announcing it would be released the same week? I'm not getting one, but I was impressed.
I have the first model DS that was released in Europe. Worldwide I think it's the second model. Anyway, I've had it for a long time, and the battery is getting shitty as well as the DS itself in terms of services compared to the new ones. I'm sooooo happy that I got to know about the 3DS a long time ago so I had a chance to change my mind in time. =D

You are honestly taking a personal opinion way out of context here. As for Kinect, I know it's new..I'm not stupid here, but it's not a new system or really that major of an undertaking, just an implementation of the 360. It's not preventing Microsoft from working on some more interesting games, whether Kinect is used with them or not. That was my gripe, that they focused too much on something that didn't need to be focused on.

Yeah I agree even if they got rid of the copying powers in the Kirby game, it still looked fun and unique (not to mention good artwork) and since my last comment I saw more E3 things and the others besides a few games (like Fable 3 and the new star wars etc) There really was very little the others had to offer. They seemed ashamed of there new Wii rip off and from what I heard it really didn't work all that well.

Slim merely found Nintendo to be better and didn't appear very impressed with Sony or Microsoft. Many felt this way. I don't see how this makes him a "fanboy". If he was all like "MICROSOFT AND SONY SUCK! NINTENDO FTW!", then yes, call him a fanboy then. But simply feeling Nintendo was the best this year doesn't make him a fanboy.

Wrong. A fan is someone simply who loves and has a passion for something. A fanboy is someone who practically worships something and attacks people who do not feel the same way. If Slim was a Nintendo fanboy, he would play the games 23 hours a day and say that anyone who doesn't like Mario should be shot. THAT is a fanboy.
Fanboy is a negative term and insulting, so to call Slim that was indeed rude.

You could've easily have stated all those points to begin with instead of just throwing out "slim you are a fanboy". I only saw Microsoft and Nintendo's conferences. The only part of Microsoft's conference that wowed me was MGS. Nintendo, on the other hand, was AWESOME. I can't wait for DKC, Kirby, and Kid Icarus.

So i'm guessing either they didn't present any or they didn't take too long on them. It seems their presentation isn't so different . Personally I would rather have a new game detached from these name brand series but just as great as them. I'm getting tired of being a man in green saving a magic princess, I've done it about 5 times now. The stories of main brand games don't change much so it just seems their upgrading the same old game.

Now, you are right in that Nintendo did announce pretty much all classic franchise games (no original titles) as well. However, I thought the content of those games themselves were pretty original, and even if they weren't, they were games that haven't been made in over 10 years now. For example, there hasn't been a DKC game in almost 15 years now and I don't think anyone saw that coming.

As for other games....new Kid Icarus after about 20 years of the original....first remake of the 13-year old Goldeneye......new Kirby game with unique gameplay and art style....and not to mention the 3DS and a shocking amount of 3rd party support, an amount not seen for Nintendo in a long while. So while the games themselves are probably not original...it's the stories and the surprises that make them original, and that's what I meant.

You were talking about how in E3 Sony and Microsoft presentations didn't really seem all the great because it was stuff you expected while to me it seems that all you cared for the Wii presentation was the advancement of main brand series like Zelda, Mario, DK, and all those others that have been constantly remade and spunoff since 8bit. However, they focused so much on other stuff that just didn't seem interesting that in a way, it almost made me forget the significant stuff. That's what disappointed me about their conference, although I think it was still better than Microsofts.

I agree with most of your E3 comments, Slim. I really hope that they keep Goldeneye 007 what it was and not try to make it like a James Bond Call of Duty (so to speak). Some new levels, weapons, and content would be nice -- especially in terms of multiplayer -- but I hope it mostly sticks to the same missions and format. As long as Jungle Commando is still playable, I'll be happy. =P

to be fair nintendo kinda did the same thing, announcing games and talk about things you would expect. The only difference was that Nintendo fans were asking for some games that go back to the old style and back to the old series. And like you said they had a lot of games to back it up. So I would say that Nintendo was the only company that met expectations this year. And I am proud to say I own 2 wii's! =D And I need to get a DSI x,x I hope that little insight made sense for I am a bit sick.

The way I see it, yeah, they announced games for well-established series, but the games themselves were surprising. There hasn't been a Donkey Kong Country game in about 15 years for crying out loud. That's big news. Also, for example, the new Kirby game. I had a feeling they would announce a new Kirby game, but when I actually saw what the game was...the gameplay and the unique art style....that on it's own was surprising. Even old tricks can be surprising if made unique.

@ILikePopCans Honestly, at least for me, I agree with slim, and not just because none of their games interest me. Sony's dragged way to long, and while they revealed some things that people had been waiting for, the majority of them were things people would expect.. There were exceptions of course, but the fact that it dragged on so long, something Nintendo has been criticized of for the past, really made it boring to watch. Sony didn't do a bad job though, just average IMO

The Xbox slim was provably the highlight, everything else being just kinect and stuff few people (at least from my point of view, I could be wrong) cared about like the ESPN deal. Nintendo on the other hand started off with zelda, got the more"casual" titles out of the way fairly earlier on, and then just kept a steady pace giving new announcements.

@ILikePopCans (see above two comments..damn the limit sucks) And I think part of it is, being a Nintendo fan, Sony and Microsoft did what Nintendo has been doing the past few years, that being showing off motion controls and games geared towards casual gamers and non gamers, with a few core titles in between. And when Nintendo did it, I had complaints and thought that for E3, those casual titles should be limited.

More Microsoft than Sony this year though, I'll admit. Sony's was average IMO. I'm more than willing to see it from the perspective of others, but at least from my perspective, quite a huge amount of people will stick with their opinion no matter what. Not all of course, never is it all.

MIcrosoft did actually announce some great games as : Gears of war 3, Halo Reach and Fable 3. But i do agree that they should have talked less about Kinect as that is microsoft's attempt to beat Nintendo and Sony, but it is awesome that you will be able to use kinect in the new star wars game. I think that Nintendo should stop trying to churn money out of the Nintendo DS, i mean get over it guys you need to stop yelling out your name. Also Nintendo have been churning out basically the same games

I have the first model DS that was released in Europe. Worldwide I think it's the second model. Anyway, I've had it for a long time, and the battery is getting shitty as well as the DS itself in terms of services compared to the new ones. I'm sooooo happy that I got to know about the 3DS a long time ago so I had a chance to change my mind in time. =D
