I think Sims 2 is better- but Sims 1 was probably better than Sims 3. I have never played the third one- but I did not much care for it after seeing the videos of other people playing. It just seemed like the second one- only they allow you to do a few more functions. I did not feel like I am missing anything not having it. The first one becomes obsolete after being used to playing the following sequel all the time.

I have never played the Sims 3- I can't because it runs on Windows Vista SP1 as my computer only runs on Windows Vista. I do not need it anyway as it does not look much better than the Sims 2. I liked Sims 1 back when I had it- but I still could never play it again after being used to the improvements in the sequel. They do not even sell it in stores anymore- you would have to order it online. I like it better in the second game how the kids do get older and your characters have their own cars.

Amy, if you wanna take the opion of this old fart... for me and almost all of my friends, original Sims was by far the greatest. Despite all it's flaws that would be complained about in the modern age, the original Sims was like a comic book, non-serious funland that has endless possibilites. and that's my two cents...
