  • well done eric for posting this video and making your friend look like a complete fuckhead that has no clue. i think everyone knoes by now that macward has no fucking idea about anything

  • Ok, let me get this straight. You're running a VM on a Mac and it says you don't have the required hardware.... Hmmm....

MIGHT IT BE BECAUSE YOU ARE ON A MAC?!

VM works differently with drivers. All I need to say really... So driver support is... understandable. I have the same problem with my linux gentoo.

The browser is not related to the OS so nwm that. It's both illegal and idiotic to make viruses so... blame the government for not dealing with it.

    Good day, sir!

  • Thanks emeek for posting this video showing how dumb your butt buddy is!

  • FUCKING RETARD LOL

    youtube hates u

    and u fail

  • hahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.vmware fucking moron.what else would you expect from a mac user.

  • i love nod32 i put it on my mac and now i will most likely not get a virus

  • Firewire is not supported in vmware plus zoul total owns this point I've got mac and that ain't problematic either. 1 star!

  • >vmware

    >virtual machine

    >complaining about drivers in a virtual machine

biggest truck of fail i have ever seen

  • OS X for the win!

  • Only thing that failed is you.

The OS inside the virtual machine only sees what Vmware presents. Nothing more, nothing less. It cannot peek outside of the virtual environment to see what the real hardware is which its running on. Thats why its called "virtual machine". LOL.

I hope you get it. I'm sure not but if you read a little, you'll get it.

  • Mac user reviewing a beta OS in a VM is fail.

  • i think macward is by far the most retarded mac user on youtube.

  • so true even though im a mac user O_o

  • yeah the hardware bugs are from vmware, not windows

  • 1. It's a BETA. You guys even know what Beta means?

    2. Why didn't he try Win7 in Bootcamp?

  • VMWare ??

    On a MAC MACHINE ??

    you macShit ...

NO seriously ,do you clean toilet in Apple Factory ?

  • How is he a "Macshit" for using VMWare??

  • Fail at M$ imo. with XP they made it a bit nicer looking, even more with Vista and 7, but when you go deeper into the system it still looks like Windows 95.

  • si looked at the comments and i thinks its win!

  • Running Windows 7 Under VMWare Fusion: FAIL

Running Windows Movie Maker under VMWare: DOUBLE FAIL

Running Windows Movie Maker and Setting Up a Printer Through a USB Filter: Self-Shoryuken (Retarded Fail)

Listen, I'm a Linux-tard of a sort and I am currently siding with Windows 7 in this video because the testing was SUCH A FAILURE. Learn to use a USB hard drive or swap out your current HD. Seriously, just give windows its own partition, HFS+ is OK with partition resizing.

  • I found some of your problems:

You are using a Mac book FAIL

    Download your drivers

you need to lrn how 2 OS

7 is a BETA and not a fully working OS

Tou are not using the lates build

    you are a mac fag

and one last thing that should help is remove steve jobs c*%k from up your ass. (Bill Gates's feels much better)

Hope this helps you lots of love from /g/

  • no he is using his mac pro. but he is still an epic fail.

  • No offense not to support PC, but... Run on BootCamp not virtualization and it will be much better.

  • Things on the web.... He said MAC PRO... And even if it was a macbook pro, doesn't mean it would be any slower... Macbook Pros put ALOT of pc's out there down to sleep.

  • He took a couple of hours to figure out why movie maker states that he doesn't have the hardware requirements in VMWare. "I don't understand, I'm running a Mac Book pro"

LMAO - the future of computer users, STUPID

  • Dude, VMware is a different PC!!!! It doesn't use the same graphics card as the Mac Pro!!!

  • He doesn't understand how it doesn't have the required hardware to run video. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He is using a virtual machine and he wonders why there are no drivers. that plus not to mention that the damn thing is still in beta for this very reason. The bias in this review is downright disgusting. EPIC FAIL. I would love to see this guy play around with linux. that would be a funny vid. and i'm willing to bet he would say it's easier to use than windows reguardless.

  • lol I have a Mac Pro but in VMware nothing works!!!

  • its a bunch of small probs my computer dose it when it crashes

  • to be really honest i think people are being really bias to windows 7. i am sorry eric i have to not agree with you, because its just a beta!! things like missing drivers is in the beta maybe its in the full version. another thing about movie maker opening no idea why it wont. but i am thinking maybe because you need to download it from the site or maybe i just dosent work in the beta.

  • I don't care if its OSX, Windows...Linux, but, VMware duh! Create a REAL partition. The thing is in beta, and you're arguing about its buggyness? Check out Chris Perriolo's reviews, man. You obviously haven't dug that deep into 7's capabilities.

  • omg its just a beta and they warned that its going to be glitchy damn Mac Users are starting to be stupid! like emeek77

  • dumb ass, don't use it with vmware.. use bootcamp and install it on a partition and it will work correctly. and ITS IN BETA.

  • ITS IN FUCKING BETA....

  • It's all very smple.... It's like with the presidental race... all that bashing by Clinton and McCain worked for a while, then it worked against them...

  • Click on Print, nothing happens. Just typical. But there's MONSTER printer icons! Whee.

Unknown error - please uninstall Windows.

  • 1:10 - Install the fucking video drivers.

  • im on window 7 and ive been using it for a week no problems what so ever besides a little white rectangle appears next to my maximize button sometimes but its hard to notice its so small, thats it

  • I laugh at macwards ignorance. I don't care if he likes osx over windows, but he is just making the stupidest arguments.

  • I hope for Emeek77 that Jobs never watches his videos....

  • /facepalm

All of this guys arguments are faults with VMWare fusion, not Windows 7. Where are the quality videos you used to put up Emeek?

  • k, i'm a mac guy, but some things that u r complaining about r just not ready to be reviewed. drivers in a beta ver?! and speed in a virtual machine?! wtf? when i look at w7, all i can see is just stupid vista with a new taskbar, but i can't review shit until is released in a final ver. and installed in native mode, not virtual.

  • Now, a lot of the trash talking is coming from fanboys and everyone knows that fanboys don't know shit

  • MAC Fanboys It IS.

    And

    "THEY KNOW NOTHING!"-Jim Cramer

    -Fuck U Mac fanboys.

  • You know what guys. An operating system is an operating system. What ever one allows you to do your work and works well for you then use that one. I've been working on computers since I was 12 and to tell you the truth, people not taking care of their systems and not knowing their system's limitations are what causes systems to lag and run shitty not operating systems. I've been using Linux, Windows and OSX and they are all great OS's(with the exception of Windows ME, which was a very bad OS.)

  • Fact: Definition Beta - a development stage of software wherein the software application is released to an enthusiastic public for large-scale testing and bug discovery

Fact: it is unwise to install beta software on production systems

  • This yet another hate video, pure with the intention to piss all Windows users of.

WE WINDOWS USERS SHOULD NOW TAKE MATTERS IN OUR OWN HAND AND REPORT EVERY BASHING VIDEO OF HIS TO YOUTUBE. THIS HAS TO STOP. 2 YEARS OF EMEEK77/APPLESOLDIER PISSING PEOPLE OF IS LONG ENOUGH!!

  • Good job, you found out the definition of a BETA

  • Linux and OS X stomp Windows

  • I think the speed is pretty damn impressive considering you are running it ON TOP OF another OS.

And for the record you don't have to buy any anti-virus, I've been using a free AV (avast!) and I haven't had a virus for the 3 years I've been using it, on XP, Vista and 7 it is very effective, and FREE. Not to mention that clicking the message brings you to a site that gives you recommended AVs from Microsoft, of which several are free.

    Get your facts right.

  • Exactly, CommonSense09 works fine for me

  • This is a bit misleading.

    1. VMware needs to be set to 128 meg for graphics

    2. Aero because of this is not switched on

    3. Your can hear the printer printing the page

    4. Explorer does not come with that toolbar on the top. It has ben added.

    5. Browser comparison, load the same web page!!

    6. The scan is defender which is part of the OS

  • I had everything turned on in vmware, printer didnt print it was just initializing, toolbar is default I didnt install anything, maybe it installed with all that crap I had to download to get movie maker lol. wasnt the fact there were different web pages,,,the windows are laggy in general in win7

  • use a real partition. the problem is not windows not recognizing your hardware, but your virtual machine. the same thing will happen if you install xp, vista, ubuntu, or even osx.

  • Movie Maker didn't work because the graphics card doesn't work in a virtual machine.

  • It looks like he's still using Vista. Microsoft is a FAIL.

  • As for the usb problems, the beta version of Windows 7 has certain problems detecting things. I'm still working with it myself.

  • You need to set the amount of ram and the amount of video memory in your virtual machine software for Windows 7 to use to allow movie maker to run. By running vmware, your computer splits the cpu, ram, and video memory between your native OS and the OS being ran in vmware.Example: Lets say movie maker needs a gig of ram to run, then you need at least two gigs in your system so that way one gig is for Windows 7 and the other is left for OSX.

  • I had all 8 gigs of ram allocated

  • Really?

I tested it on an old machine with 640MB RAM and it ran at a nearly acceptable speed. I do however think it's Vista but polished - that's exactly what it is - a polished turd.

  • "from: emeek77

    ----------------------

i7 is rumored to hit macs this year

    Applesoldier is a prophet " - thanks sarsrkewl2

"But unbuffered ram is batter for games, but im not a gamer." -emeek77

Yes you are NOT, you noob

  • Anyone interested in reading some crazy PM exchanges between myself and emeek (aka applesoldier, macunderground). Send me a PM.

  • Yes, please share that

  • I've sent it to you. Enjoy :)

  • I remember a few months ago Emeek did a video on what windows needs to do to compete with OSX features or something close to that. In it he said that Windows should have an OSX like Dock. Well I must say Emeek, with Windows 7 you got your wish.

  • I installed Windows 7 on MBP and works ok no problems, but i been a PC guy for over 20 years, and guess what Windows SUCK i was going to mac for 2 years ago, and i ever go back.

but as for win 7, i only think i like was when i installed it dit find my network, but its was so like have a mac. windows 7 is a copi of mac, it really is

  • Isn't it interesting how many of these brainless slaves who just give 1 star and don't even have an opinion are using new accounts? It's like they only showed up to bash because someone told em to. Won't work, I'm linking to this video from everywhere.

  • 'I'm linking to this video from everywhere'???

So Sinjinator did you know that there is a word for that?

    SPAMMING

  • how could you not rate this one star this guy is a fucking idiot he is using vmware and complaining about drivers?????????????????????????.

  • I gave you a 1.

  • Maybe since you're so stupid to use a computer go back to your my first slideshow maker and internet surfer-- erm, Mac.

    1 star giveth

  • i give you 1 star

  • As many others have pointed out...running Win 7 virtualized will not give you an actual picture of how the OS actually behaves. You have to install it on an actual partition. If you don't know how, I'll post a video to show you.

  • quit making excuses, vmware pffft,,,this is windows kids...nothing is changed

  • Yeah that would be why you took down that other retarded video when you got told how much of a tool you were not to know about those settings. Keep on spouting your shit, just about everyone is seeing through it.

  • Half your problem is that you're running inside VMWare, and that you probably didn't go and find drivers for your stuff anyway just like every other fucking Mac idiot out there who expects everything to work out of the damn box. The other half of your problem is that you're a fucking dickhead Mac fanboy. People like you make me want to kill myself. Now GTFO and do not return.

  • This is what's truly great about the Internet. It allows people who know nothing, to demonstrate it to the rest of us, and make themselves look like ignorant fools. The video maker had already made up his mind that he was "anti" Windows before even beginning. He should get a job with TV "current affairs" shows, they'd lap it up.

  • >Running an OS in a virtual machine

    >Being surprised that some graphic intense stuff doesn't work

    I hate the Internet

  • You need to go download drivers

You need to go download drivers

You need to go download drivers

You need to go download drivers

and use classic view for the control panel.

  • One more thing O SX is just Unix with a pretty font end and its to dumbbed down to be able to do any thing useful on it.

Try running Xin 7 on some real hardware that has not been infected by OS X and it will run just fine.

    ITS A BETA

    ITS A BETA

    ITS A BETA

    IE 8 = BETA

    WMP 12 = BETA

in other words its still being worked on and is not the full release.

  • Mac'n Tool

Guess what my ancient xp2500 PC can run Movie Maker just fine so it your yuk Mac that id doing it. Or perhaps its the VM machine your running under (Hardware graphics dont run under VMware) Hey guess what you need to actually download drivers for it use vista drivers as there are no win7 drivers yet. You really have no clue as how to use windows.

Get Firefox, IE is a POS

Mac users need to stay on macs cause they are just dumbbed down useless piles of ^%$^&$.

  • YOU

    ARE

    IN

    VMWARE

You are running two operating systems at one. Of course something isn't going to work. Besides, The hardware the VM'ed OS sees isn't your actual hardware, it is the hardware VMWare decides to show it. That is why Movie Maker won't run. Also, Beta OS. You should learn what that means before making a decision.

  • I gave 5.

Because people need to know how screwed up this stuff from Micro$oft is! While they claim "its easier and more compatible than ever", that's a LIE. Fatter bars and popup windows. There's no hope for Winblows.

  • Mac Pro.

    Found ya problem.

  • if i could on give you a quarter of a star...

    ill go for a 1 i guess...

  • Maybe if he'd look for solutions to his problems instead of crying about how it isn't his precious OS X. Jesus. Everything in the action center can be customized/disabled. IE is not the only option. His driver issues are much more than likely the fault of his virtualization software. Same for the performance issue. Comparing Safari in his native OS to virtual machine is an instant clue of how he doesnt know his stuff.

Mac users sure hate choice. All that thinking's just too much, huh? 1 star.

  • OSX ftw ... Ahhhh win 7 is junk ...

  • *yawn* Another video proving how little Mac fans know about computers (hence the reason they think they are good)

By the way, I gave ya a 1 star brah.

  • i give you a 5

  • Are all mac users this stupid?

  • No were not ... I did not have a problem with with runing it in vm

  • Half of your tags contain words that have absolutely nothing to do with the video content. Are you that much of an attention whore?

    oh, I gave you a 1.

  • by the way...

    I give you a 1.

  • install gentoo linux

  • I've ran into one little crash with Windows 7 in control panel viewing it in classic view, double clicked Windows Firewall and the application crashed.

It didn't lock up Windows, could still get to all of my applications and so far zero BSOD. I'm still kind of tossed up if I like Windows 7 or not. The shutdown and restart menu needs to be totally different, need to use colors like Red along with a symbol for shut down.

  • OMG STFU. 1!

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1

  • I give you a 1

  • How the heck do you enable a USB?

    I give you a 1

  • Windows 7=Vista with a new shell

  • (pt 2/2)

IE is garbage anyway, and IE != Windows 7. It's a browser, not the OS, and not required. Never mind the fact that that was IE loading the Microsoft web page. It's not a valid comparison.

You're a stupid, presumptuous shit for even fathoming the idea that all free antivirus applications spam you or even require you to give them an email address.

They don't tell you to buy a damned thing. Movie maker? Yeah that's really representative of the OS. It's a separate application, numb-nuts.

  • (pt 1/2)

It doesn't have the 'required hardware' because you're using VMWare to run it you stupid shit. First, VMWare doesn't support 7 yet and has known problems with it. Next, VMWare especially doesn't have HARDWARE ACCELERATION FOR IT.

No device drivers for your blackberry? Hmm, maybe because this is a beta OS? HMM.

The "dock thingy" isn't a dock thingy, it's a taskbar. That's why it acts like a taskbar. Moron.

  • You failed when you decided to run Windows 7 on vmware, 1 Star.

  • If we could find a way to harness butthurt and convert it to electricity, Emeek77 could power an entire nation for a thousand years.

    I rated you 1.

  • ITT: MINDLESS /g/TARD SHEEPS

  • this video is bad and you should feel bad

    1 star for you

  • 1 star hahah emeek your videos are terrible

  • Cool story bro, 1 star.

  • SUCCESSFUL TROLL IS FULL OF WIN

  • I give you a 1

  • News just in: BETA OS fails to run inside a VIRTUAL MACHINE and doesn't include DRIVERS FOR EVERY DEVICE EVER.

  • No sorry, it's vmware.

  • It actually is VMware, I suggest you do some kind of research before you continue to make more videos because you look really stupid right now.

  • This is beta have you forgot?

  • cool story bro

    1 star

  • Stick with XP. Windows 7 users appreciate the lack of tard.

  • 1 star for being unable to think for yourself.

  • You are either a troll or a damned idiot.

Either way, you've shown exactly why people hate Mac fanboys.

  • I gave you 1 star for being a moron

  • haha retard

    1 star for u :)

  • did you install your video card drivers cracker? NO, because VM-ware does not have hardware acceleration, betas come with very little driver support thus proving vista was not released as a BETA cause it has great driver support, only a noob would attack BETA software, no stars.

  • the whole idea about BETA is tht ppl pick holes in it so they know what to improve and Microsoft arnt gunna do shit, e.g look at vista!

  • Yeah they did nothing with vista, only improved backwards compatability got more drivers made avaialble for it and improved its performance and added some new features with sp1.

Having opinions on a beta is fine and dandy, picking holes and then whining about it like its not gonna be fixed for the retail version is something else.

Its also dumb to expect the beta to work reliably 100% like macward and emeek do.

  • :P lol

  • well said

  • I gave you a 1 star

  • He's the one who added a toolbar then he's complaining about it. If you do a fresh install of Windows 7 there isn't that many toolbars in IE.

  • I give you 1 star.

  • I give you a 1

  • "I don't understand"

    Si.

  • First and foremost, VMware. How are going to give an objective review when you're not even attemping to review the OS on level footing? How much disk space did you give the VM? How much CPU? RAM? yeah, you can't and won't answer that. the fact that it's VM means no graphical accelartion = no eye candy.

Additionally 'I messed around with it for an hour or two' doesn't make you qualified in my eyes. You're a biased idiot digging for reasons to hate win 7 while it's still in BETA. I give you a 1.

  • 1 star for being a gobshite.

  • vmfag

    1 star for you bro

  • I gave you 1 star.

Me too, Emeek is the #1 star of Mac zealots...

I'm kind of enjoying this little discussion about Windows 7 despite the bias views and insults.

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1.

  • The don't run it on Bootcamp wtf. That's a flaw with your Mac's emulator, not Windows 7. - PoliticalHell

The Sentence "this dude is completely right, i ran windows 7 on 2.8 GHz 4GB RAM, MBP unibody, on boot camp, it was SLOW!" was directed toward Awesomemacperson123.

I just forgot to add his name to the quote. Hard to say really what his problem was with it, could be no video drivers since it's a new Mac. Boot Camp may not be optimized for it yet, Emulated BIOS, but it did install.

  • I give you a 1.

  • All of his points are invalid.

    But look at the fish.

    JUST LOOK AT IT!

WHAT KIND OF FISH IS THAT?

    ITS A FUCKING BETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1 star.

  • According to Wikipedia that fish is a Siamese fighting fish, named so because of its aggressive behaviour. I guess Microsoft wants to imply that Windows is coming back fighting. ;)

  • I give you a 1.

  • I give you a 1

  • Also, 7 is based on the Vista kernel (and yes, it is an improved version); Vista drivers work in 7.

There's no excuse for your hardware not working, except your own stupidity.

  • How good is a free product? AVG and AVAST are free antivirus software and also one of the best, that's how good.

Also I gave your video one star.

  • How good is a free product? AVG and AVAST are free antivirus software and also one of the best, that's how good. - xeno882

They are decent, been using NOD32 as of late, just love it, low resources and no problems. You would have to pay me a lot of money to even use Norton. Trust me I've had a lot of bad experiences with it.

  • Yeah I tried NOD32 and loved it. However it costs money and I'm a cheap bastard :P.

Norton however started to suck badly after Norton 2002. Too much bloatware and a recourse hog. Norton 2009 however is supposed to be different, haven't tried it though.

  • I give you a 1.

  • BTW, Emeek. It's "Friend's" and "a while"

See you tomorrow in special class! :)

  • Oh lol.

  • You're using VMWare. There's no GPU acceleration with virtualisation software, dumbass.
