  • Which program you use for programming?Tnx

  • Dear Hay., Use a clip-on microphone $10 at Radio Shack or PC World. Haven't you heard the terrible sound on this? The echo? Because it is commentary that you have spoken you tend to be biased in your so-called hearing of the audio. Most people will not be able to understand you. Note: you can't tell the popularity of this video because people who turn off are registered likewise as those who watch the whole thing. . Delete the music, too. . Cheers. from, del-boy

  • Hi there, nice guitar! How long does it take to have the body finished? i mean drilled, cutted and routed. Thanks!

  • nice cnc, i bought my rexstep 425 steppers from homeshopcnc, years ago now though, good motors /shame about the music, i couldnt watch more than 10 secs of the vid.

  • @illcities You don't like Beck or Satch. Bet you like Cuntry. You have no taste dude.

  • very good, someone who actually tells you the parts and about them!

  • isn't frustrating with all this good job you did people send you msg asking for information about the background song?

  • do you build for sale

  • Awsome!

  • 2:05 / 9:58 whats the song at the beggining thanks...dan...

  • what kind of bit are you using?

  • Great video , the machine looks professional as your website!!! can you tell us please

how did you join the router to the machine ? did you remove the base from the Dewalt router or join it with the base , Thanks

  • wonderful!!! I am dreaming up a cnc router and had the exact same idea as yours..just one drive under the table. i see a lot of tables with a motor on each side for the long axis, seems like a waste to me I'm glad I got to see your table work great with just one

  • Very nice! I used to be a machinist and machine tool programmer in the aerospace industry. I would have fun all day with this setup. I'm also a musician and the guitar body is a very inspiring. What CAD/CAM software are you using?

  • that is IMPRESSIVE. how much does the whole set up cost? including the software used to control the machine?

  • Take a look at an Italian tutorial about stepper motor - elettronica open source - stepper motor

  • Beautiful, nice job

  • Nevermind the first two questions, just saw it on the vid.

  • How long did it take to rout the frontside of that body, at what ipm was the machine running and why didn`t you use a bigger bit?

  • Is that last song Satriani?

  • Comment removed

  • 1:44 whats the name of that song? i love it

  • Angel Footsteps, Jeff Beck

  • what are you using to hold the workpiece down,i see you have the base held down with clamps but what is actually holding the piece being machined?this is driving me nuts

  • The guitar has a back and a figured top. The top is glued onto the base. In the rapid test the sheet is held on with double sided tape.

  • Very nice work, love it

  • homeshop is good ..i concur that...bought from them recently

  • I want a garage that fits such machine!!

  • Fantastic piece of kit. Thanks.

  • I want that machine in my garage:)

  • Very niiiice!!! What software did you use to do create the Gcode for the text engraving at the end? Really nice machine!

  • Great Video. Who is the artist and what is the name of the song in the background, near the end of the video? Jeff Beck?

  • Jeff Beck - Angel Footsteps over the guitar machining, then Joe Satriani - Time Machine for the last half.

  • Nice piece of kit. Well powerful and fast.

  • the must, excellent!!!, the perfection.I have buy today my cnc router. I make a guitar like this, where you have find the gcode of this job( 3d shapes!)?, please your help is appreciated.

    Good job

  • excellent!

  • Nevermind, I just watched this at home (with sound)... 12.5A, makes sense with (6/1.41)*3. Best Regards... :-)

  • Haydn, What power supply are you using? Each of those motors is 6A per phase... I'm getting ready to buy a set with G203V's. Are you running them at a lower Amp setting? If so, please share, your machine looks like it really cooks. Nice job. How was the service at homeshopcnc?

    Many thanks...

  • Homeshopcnc service was great, posted from California on a thursday arrived in UK following Monday. Would have cost much more to buy equivalent motors in the UK.

  • Hi Haydn, absolutely gorgeous machine! I've just started on a very similar build. If you don't mind me asking, ould you recommend someone to do the machining on brackets etc?

One thing though: I've never seen fully supported rails used on their side before (on your y-axis), don't you have problems with them flexing? That steel gantry must be rigid as can be! I'm stuck with rexroth profiles..... Thanks for posting!

  • These rails should not really be used on their sides. They don't flex but bearings wear prematurely due to uneven load distribution. This was temporary, I am currently changing them for Hiwin profile rails and carriages as originally intended but budget restrictions made it difficult when I first built the machine. Any local engineer should be able to do machining for you.

  • Hi! I like to have one like this. Where did you get the plan? Or can you give me links. Whant is the size of the table? Is that 4'x 8'? Thank you.

  • Sorry no plans available but may put something together in the future. Its 50"x36"

  • Great! Just a question: how do you reset the tools height every time you change them?

  • Job zero is the top of the body. At tool change I touch on this surface and re zero the Z axis. Thanks for the comments!

  • wow thats sweet :P i got to make me one of those! :)

  • Hey that's pretty awesome!
