Dear Hay., Use a clip-on microphone $10 at Radio Shack or PC World. Haven't you heard the terrible sound on this? The echo? Because it is commentary that you have spoken you tend to be biased in your so-called hearing of the audio. Most people will not be able to understand you. Note: you can't tell the popularity of this video because people who turn off are registered likewise as those who watch the whole thing. . Delete the music, too. . Cheers. from, del-boy
@FXL126 hello, Ca is there I assembled DEWALT DW625EK on my CN; it is brilliant! I have just carried out a table of violin above… See the video comment below : CN FXL126 violon.wmv Thank you still Haydn812 for your vidéos, and infos… FXL
nice cnc, i bought my rexstep 425 steppers from homeshopcnc, years ago now though, good motors /shame about the music, i couldnt watch more than 10 secs of the vid.
wonderful!!! I am dreaming up a cnc router and had the exact same idea as yours..just one drive under the table. i see a lot of tables with a motor on each side for the long axis, seems like a waste to me I'm glad I got to see your table work great with just one
Very nice! I used to be a machinist and machine tool programmer in the aerospace industry. I would have fun all day with this setup. I'm also a musician and the guitar body is a very inspiring. What CAD/CAM software are you using?
what are you using to hold the workpiece down,i see you have the base held down with clamps but what is actually holding the piece being machined?this is driving me nuts
the must, excellent!!!, the perfection.I have buy today my cnc router. I make a guitar like this, where you have find the gcode of this job( 3d shapes!)?, please your help is appreciated.
Haydn, What power supply are you using? Each of those motors is 6A per phase... I'm getting ready to buy a set with G203V's. Are you running them at a lower Amp setting? If so, please share, your machine looks like it really cooks. Nice job. How was the service at homeshopcnc?
Homeshopcnc service was great, posted from California on a thursday arrived in UK following Monday. Would have cost much more to buy equivalent motors in the UK.
Hi Haydn, absolutely gorgeous machine! I've just started on a very similar build. If you don't mind me asking, ould you recommend someone to do the machining on brackets etc?
One thing though: I've never seen fully supported rails used on their side before (on your y-axis), don't you have problems with them flexing? That steel gantry must be rigid as can be! I'm stuck with rexroth profiles..... Thanks for posting!
These rails should not really be used on their sides. They don't flex but bearings wear prematurely due to uneven load distribution. This was temporary, I am currently changing them for Hiwin profile rails and carriages as originally intended but budget restrictions made it difficult when I first built the machine. Any local engineer should be able to do machining for you.
Which program you use for programming?Tnx

The guitar has a back and a figured top. The top is glued onto the base. In the rapid test the sheet is held on with double sided tape.

Great Video. Who is the artist and what is the name of the song in the background, near the end of the video? Jeff Beck?
davi200 3 years ago
Jeff Beck - Angel Footsteps over the guitar machining, then Joe Satriani - Time Machine for the last half.

Great! Just a question: how do you reset the tools height every time you change them?
Mephysto65 4 years ago
Job zero is the top of the body. At tool change I touch on this surface and re zero the Z axis. Thanks for the comments!
