This video song is actually from a Neil Diamond concert at the Aquarius Theater in Los Angeles, "Greatest Hits Live", in 1988 and was released on DVD in 1997.
Heard Neil and Linda sing this again Birmingham (UK) 2 days ago. Still sends makes me tingle. This performance from XX years ago must be THE classic, though.
Linda is married to Diamondville Member. Barbra never wanted to be a member of Diamond's Band. She strictly only wanted a part in the song. Read your info ignorant jerk. If Neil Diamond did not want Linda Press, he would have booted her out of his Band over 30 years ago.
Hi JSweit8573, yes it's a powerful, sad and beautiful song and I think Linda Press has more tenderness and warmth in her voice than Barbra's which may be technically the stronger voice. It's good that we all have different opinions and our favourite versions though! All the best.
@Vivopermusica ---Linda Press was good I will give you that but has to go a long to win me over compared to Barbra....Linda's voice in my opinion isn't strong enough, its a powerful song
there are really eternal songs. this is one of them
