@autoandhistorynut those plastic trans port vans are like the saturns, all plastic bodies so you can't dent them, always wondered how they'd hold up against a caravan
prolly the best derby I've ever seen. #14 had to be on ice, didn't even budge when the other car caught fire. I'm so entering a Lumina van in a derby, that wedge nose is perfect
I know. Look at the derby videos i've posted, and compare them to this. Even though the cars were small, the track was so muddy they could hardly drive in a straight line.
My cousin Tim was in the very next heat after this. He used a 92' Plymouth Grand Voyager. Number 28. Another Lumina APV was used during that heat at won.
man i bet you were verry sore after that i have never done that have you ever done 4 cylinders there awsome check out my derby if you would the rock speedway demo derbt if you would and leave a comment please
It had to have been a Lumina APV, because the Lumina was made with a 3.1 Liter engine. The Trans Sport and the Olds Silhouette were 3.8 Liters which was built differently. This van was probably a 92-93.
them fukers took a beatin. sounded like a 3.1 if so those are good motors for derby if you know what to do. everyone else wasn't shit 2 car showdowns like that is what i like check out "takin care of business" in my vids for 2 car showdown
are they having a van demo this year? i wont be there to find out but if they are it would be awsome to see on here

i had a 93 Grand Caravan with a shot tranny and rusted door hinges, if i had found one of these i would have welded it all up and done this, awesome

Great vid. I am posting a couple mini van derbies in the next day or so. The vans had a better derby than the regular cars did.

These cars are crazy. There more aggressive than guys doin the derbys with the full size cars.
detroitmuscle66 4 years ago
Yeah, youre right. Theres all that empty cushion in the back, and the FWD allows them to keep going even with no bck tires.
SkyKing909 4 years ago
yeah but also harder to go in reverse
buttnockernumber4 4 years ago
These guys are more agressive than most V-8 derby drivers! #14 is freakin' nuts!

Never new the Lumina had such a demo-derby-friendly design

Dry tracks are the best for mini vans. Every one on a wet track I've seen is lousy ^-^
