  • at 0:17 is the Nissan a firefighter responding?

  • @greenbaygpg No, those are my emergency lights reflecting in his tail lights.

  • Well that guy in the truck was listening to dubstep so he couldn't hear you...good job though! You were not immature and weaving in and out of lanes

  • I HATE living in VA!. here we can ONLY have one light unit. No Siren. and we have to obey all traffic laws.....that includes the speed limit.

  • Nice Video - Every state has different laws, but here in Virginia we cannot run sirens - only lights. There can only be 2 light sources, and we have to obey all red lights, stop signs, and speed limits. No exceptions.

  • Nicely done! What kind of car are you driving? Maybe that has something to do with it, and my simple solution is get a old fire engine air horn that might help.

  • Wow people are stupid. In my personal opinion all POV responders should be painted Red and White or just Red or just white with the Red and White or Red and Blue lights so people know to yeild to them. Though in this video people really need to pay attention and yield to the Responders.

  • Now THATS how you do it. I was just watching WestPlainsFD and this guy is running to a huge fire taking his time. Might as well stop at McDonalds first. Who needs lights and sirens? LOL! mmarlin163 good job. Get it done!

  • @Coolsax64 yea and u don't know squat jack

  • I now some ppl Have there pov's hooked up with major horns and all that and a rumbler siren to help get through freeways, bizzy streets and all that. If u want i can give u a site for them and you can see what they're like, and depending on what you department uses, maybe u should try a gen III lightbar. :)

  • That last Idiot really mad me angry!

  • HAHAHAAH firemen.

  • The Driver of the silver 350z is an ass. I am a First Responder and a Volunteer S.A.R. for Kern County. Thank You for what you do. Coolsax 64 is just pissed because he/she doesn't have the Time, Training or Heart to help anyone. It's People like You Who Make The Difference. Be Safe and Thumbs Up.

  • OMG This area in the beginning of the video looks familiar, where is this?!?!

  • @coolsax64 Sooooo... what you're saying is. When you are driving to the mountains for your vacation with your family, and a drunk driver crosses the center line and hits you head on. You really, honestly, want the emergency vehicle that is "marked" to be the first one to you? Even though you're in the middle of nowhere and the only folks around are some volunteers with a dash light, a radio, EMS supplies and training?

  • @mmarlin163 You damn right I do. What good is a POV response with no Hurst tool, no ALS drugs, No engine with water or stabilization gear. I would rather have them take an extra minute to go get the apparatus and respond with that than a bunch of first responders showing up in there POV's and waiting for an engine or Medic. I am a retired FF/AO over 20 plus years in city and rual dept's. we have rual areas here in Oregon that get an Engine and a medic first. No POV's...

  • @coolsax64 That's great, I'm not saying no one should get an engine. But when you are twenty to thirty minutes out from the nearest station, one first responder with BLS supplies can stop life threatening bleeding, reposition an airway, call for additional needed resources not normaly carried on engines. On more than one occasion I have - in my POV - been the difference in life or death for someone. Sure, in downtown houston, driving a POV to a call would be ridiculous...they have their place

  • @mmarlin163 Nicely said sir! I kind of liken a POV to the European medical Rapid Response Vehicles - minus the "MARKINGS" of course; because a bright flashing light (or lightS) and siren obviously doesn't make a car 'official'. I guess a decal is what matters in these situations.

  • @coolsax64 And since we're quoting qualifications, I'm an active FF/Medic with eight years experience in municipal and rural fire departments, paid and volunteer, and paid EMS.

  • @mmarlin163 i agree, people do get the misunderstanding of men and even women doing whats right trying to sincerly help someone. My father is a retired bc/ff/emt with over 33 years experience paid/vol/ems in rankin co, ms. Im a soldier and a volunteer firefighter in my hometown. People give us lip at times for their misunderstandings and even pure anger. It kills me when people do that.

  • @coolsax64 Sorry to hear that. POV responders are trained in BLS. they may not have the " apparatus " but these Responders most of the time are Comming to assist you for FREE. Better to have some help then none at all. Dont be such an ingrate. I would bet your opinion would change if YOU were the one in need.

  • @coolsax64 What you said makes no sense, in your first comment you bitching about cars not being marked, but the second one you just pretty much say they are fine as long as they respond to the station. Either way they will respond with in POV's to some location. Also when you can shave off several minutes of response in a life or death situation with the ability to stabilize someone while a Rig responds then no one will care what ya think. Its faster to roll a rig with one than wait for several

  • @nate482 How does it make no sense? Responding to the station vs responding to the scene. Makes perfect sense to me unless you are an idiot which proves my point. Respond to the station, get apparatus on the road. How much more clearer do you need it?

  • @coolsax64 Oh my lord, Dude I explained it the clearest of ways how it makes no sense but you skipped over the first part of my comment, you are trying to bitch about 2 different things but think they are one, regarding your first topic people just dont move for anything with lights anymore witch is why some people record responses and radio police to ticket them for not yielding, and second topic responding to the station wastes critical time!! In life or death nothing matters but saving lives

  • @nate482 You must be out of your mind! How does responding to the station to get an engine, rescue or medic on the road waste time? What kind of dept do you volly at?

  • @nate482, when my stepdad had a MI and coded in rural Kentucky, a BLS first responder was on scene within 5 minutes, took over CPR from me, hit him with an AED, and had him on high flow oxygen by the time the MICU capable ambulance showed up 15 minutes later....at which point they took over care, got him to the ER and he's still alive and kicking after 10 years. If we'd had to wait for an engine (we had a volunteer fire dept) he would have died.

  • BLS first responders in unmarked POV's do have their uses...maybe not in the city or suburbs, but in the country they save lives. @coolsax64, thank you for what you do. People like you saved my stepdad's life by providing BLS interventions, and inspired me to become an EMT myself. Keep doing what you do, even if people bitch.

  • @coolsax64 A POV responding medic/ff is all that stands in between you dieing and living because amb is 20 minutes out but this POV guy is closer, in some areas. I'm sorry, if I was in a MVA and I was bleeding out to death(or whatever the case), I want that guy in POV who has a kit and can at least keep me from bleeding out to death before the ambulance gets there.

I'm was a volly. I responded POV because I had med packs in my truck. I was what saved people more then once. continued

  • @coolsax64 If you don't like us so much, then by all means don't go anywhere we are at becuase I don't want to have to see ya. K? Thanks!

  • @coolsax64 your ignorant. there is a reason why there are volunteer ff's.

  • @mmarlin163 this guy is a jackass, just like these stupid stupid people who aren't yielding to you. stay safe brother

  • @coolsax64 I've Dealt with you before. You Were an Ass then and your Still an Ass.

  • @JVPRCNG And your still a whacker. Lets see how tough you are outside of You Tube.

  • @coolsax64 even if it is just a min it can save a like jackass

  • @coolsax64 And for your first comment... NO! People do not RECOGNIZE MARKED emergency vehicles like ambulances, police cars.. I've seen people flat out ignore them.

  • @coolsax64 actaly thay dont we steel do the same in the trucks engines medic and cop cars so ya

  • Comment removed

  • Move the FUCK out of the way! There are lives at stake!

  • What make and model car were you driving?

  • 1:10-1:50 GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY!U FUCKING TWIT!

  • 0:15-0:18 thanks dumbass

  • The guy with the boat thought he was on cops..."run run run"...

  • nice vid like the dual tone siren

  • @Waddle5blue Thanks

  • ya have a lot worse time here in Illinois since were not even aloud to have sirens!

  • I had a 2008 civic that had dark tint people moved for me and i couldn't even use a siren lol I was told a few times that my car looked like an undercover vehicle. but there are always those folks who don't pay attention or just want to be dicks. good video though stay safe!

  • palmsprings he did everything right,he was driving code.im a volunteer firefighter myself and even though he is not in my department or state i will take a stand for him.you drive what ya can drive to the scene.you dont have time to pick a certain vehicle to drive.you get in and you go.

  • @palmsprings - Your mommy didn't love you enough as a child did she?

  • @mmarlin163 I agree he has no life

  • freakin assholes! especially the guy with the boat...did you give him the finger when you went by? lol

  • @btfd751 Yeah, give him the finger. Way to represent your dept...

  • I try not to take the center lane because folks around here will sometimes yield left, just to throw us off I guess.

  • cant drive in the center lane?

  • omg, ive never seen people not respond to emergency vehicles like that, half the time around here in southern california, i see cops rolling with fire either in front of clearing the way, or behind busting assholes like that boat, and its a HUGE fine here for that...

  • REALLY REALLY!???? guess that IDIOT really needed to get to the lake...bet if were his family he would have a different response to emergency vehicles....

  • Anybody move or pull over?

  • jesus christ...id go through the video and get license plate #'s to send to the local LEO's for failure to yield tickets!

  • try the slow lane it helps

  • the guy with the boat pissed me off

  • try putting in wig wags in head lights. i did and it made a big difference.

  • you... have a level of patience that I don't have.

  • Where is this? Those drivers are ass holes. I live in Mass, where some of the worst drivers in the US are, but I've never seen someone ignore an emergency vehicle like that.

  • No offense to you or anything, they probably just don't take a 2003 Honda Civic seriously as an emergency vehicle. I can see where that is frustrating on the way to go help somebody.. Maybe try to get a bigger interior lightbar for the front.. or a more police-like vehicle

  • @tomnorcross I agree with you they probably don't take it seriously. I have a 09 civic si and don't have my blue lights installed yet (In NJ we can only use blue lights with an electric horn as a volly FF) but currently i have hideaways strobes and some people actually moved out my way for those. Jersey ppl are not bad in moving out of the way for emergency vehicles. But there's always those stupid jerks that piss me off like that boat guy in this video and that 350/370Z driver (silver/grey car)

  • god people are dum fucks

  • You, sir, have FAR more patience than I do. Kudos.

  • No one feels the need to pull over for POV's it doesnt matter how many lights you have on it. They dont even pull over for police cars or fire trucks where i live. They feel we can go around them. But what they dont know is they can get cited for not yeilding

  • sweet dual siren setup whelen and fedsig...nice.../

  • I would have fucking rammed that guy with the green boat.

  • I would fit a TRAIN HORN on this vehicle..

  • i wouldve gotten the gray cars plate number and had them writen a ticket in my state for failing to yeild to and emergency vehicle

  • Haha, if a rumbler would fit in a honda civic i would already have one!

  • @mmarlin163 what year is your Civic?

  • @Cbluboi01 2003.... why?

  • @mmarlin163 oh i was just wondering .. cause I have a 2006

  • Great response video. Looks like you might need to get a rumbler though. LOL. Keep the vids coming.

  • The person driving the car with the boat seems to be deaf...

  • Also, you can see strobes reflecting off rear of the gray car.

  • Nope, they're on alright. Super led slimlighter on the dash, and two linz6's in the grille. Two TIR4's in side windows, dual talon in back glass, and two more LINZ6's by my license plate.

  • from this video it makes me think you forgot to turn your lights on..

  • cant really see the plate but id take the video to the cops and press charges there breaks LAWS and should be fined. nice video tho keep them coming!!

  • some people just dont get it!!! there is no excuse with dual tones... just ignorance... sweeeeet video response... stay safe...
