  • I feel deceived, anguished...God gave us love and a Church like that of Rome forbids to love! It's nonsense.

  • thankyou for this video

  • @lovencare62 thats why there are two choices. choose to marry and have family and thats make you happy but ir you really have a deeper love to the lord and desire to offer your whole life and time for him alone then be a priest. priest is a priest. he is for the lord only to serve him and follow him for the rest of his life and to help all the souls to bring to him in eternal life.

  • I can't believe ...that Seminarian boy is too gorgeous to sacrifice his own life to priesthood! It's incredible! Why doesn't the Catholic church, >(that is my church), allow marriages to priesthood??

I can't understand it! It's like a stupid and useless sacrifice!

If you read the book "The Thorn Birds" you will see.

I cannot understand how these beautiful priests can give up the chance to have a wife and a family! Love has been created for beautiful people like them.

  • @pejeux

It is so sad that so beautiful priests give up love and romance!

It is so sad for people like me who don't find anyone to love....seeinf those beautiful and gorgeous men sacrifice themselves to the church and give up happiness! If not even those people are happy...we unlucky people will lose any kind of hope. But if you love and don't give up the possibility to be happy, a light will bright for us and we will keep hope

  • God bless the Holy Priesthood and the Holy Celebacy.

  • I've heard many ignorant comments, but calling these men "freaks" tops the list of ignorance and stupidity. To quote Abraham Lincoln, "It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

  • I know two of the priests shown in the video! :D

  • @adomjask I agree that there may be a certain personal advantage to celibacy/chastity, though I am not able to explain the mechanism or reason behind it. I was sexually active earlier in my life, but have been chaste for several years now. It was curious though, that you included masturbation, whereas I believe in conjunction with chastity, masturbation can then be used to produce powerful results in the "ordinary" world.

  • These guys are freaks....

  • Act like a man, and go find a women. You have to give up on women to find God? STAY AWAY FROM MY KIDS.

  • @Born2Flesh. Hi Flesh, Hetetosexual priests are not pedophiles. Pedophiles are drawn to the priesthood (or teaching) to get access to children. Male sexual preference is ingrained and unless it's an aberrant idea of 'any port in a storm,' men obviously prefer women. The idea that celibacy causes child molestation is dubious to say the least. I can't imagine a normal male being sexually interested in children no matter how long it had been since he was around women.

  • freaks

  • @adomjask , I'm trying to help you realize you have been brainwashed by the most vile and corrupt institution on the face of the earth; namely the Roman Catholic church

  • @adomjask , Well you are still crazier than hell if you think most priests are celibate. Were your parents related?Did you eat paint chips as a kid? Did you live under high tension power lines?

  • @adomjask , are you nuts?

  • IMO Celibacy is not just a negative thing, but really a positive thing. It leads us, by its very nature, to a universal love of humanity. Celibacy, by its nature is a special way of loving, a love for God and Humanity, without the help of marriage. Marriage too ought to lead to a universal love, but the priest is "married to God", not to a woman. It more immediately focuses our love on God and humanity whom God so loved! A Priest can take a bullet for humanity, a parent for his or her child!

  • @Joe80751 I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but whether you believe it or not, the VAST majority of priests are, in fact, celibate.

  • @sercerch , no the vast majority are not celibate. At best 20% are celibate. I grew up around many priests. I know what I'm talking about. Most are self serving amoral parasites who actually have made themselves believe they are special.

  • To those non-Catholics I ask what business is it of yours what/how we Catholics believe? I couldn't care less what your church teaches.

  • @zoehanson999 true true

  • Celibacy goes against a basic human drive. In most sane cultures (which the catholic church isn't) it would be considered unhealthy.

  • @MrMZaccone Keeping basic human drives in check is what makes civilization possible, and certainly what defines virtue to some extent. A person who cannot or will not control his or her basic human drives in most cultures would be considered a menace to society.

  • @seekholiness No, because kindness, generosity, caution, restraint and many other things that could be classified as "virtues" are also basic human drives. A definition of virtue: Correct action in the presence of temptation to do otherwise.

  • @MrMZaccone thanks for your thoughts. I'm simply suggesting that there are many situations where self restraint (especially in regards to sex drive) is a very good and healthy thing. To argue that it is unhealthy because it goes against a basic human drive would be moving in the direction of a very slippery slope.

  • @seekholiness And I'm "simply suggesting" that genuine celibacy in a religious sense is not just a case of "Keeping basic human drives in check". It is in fact, a case of denying them altogether and that along with the other patent insanity the catholic church teaches and advocates, it is a recipe for disaster.

  • @zoehanson999 Thanks for your reply. To answer your question objectively, celibacy is a discipline whereby one abstains from sexual activity or relationships. AKA, a celibate person cannot marry or engage in sexual relationships outside of marriage. All persons are in fact called to live in celibacy until the point that they are married. Now, like any discipline, the spirit in which it is lived, is very important. A live of celibacy requires a commitment to living a life of sexual purity.

  • @zoehanson999 A life of sexual purity is incompatible with the act of masturbation as is engaging in pornography, objectification, etc. I would suggest that most priests do in fact practice real celibacy. Being human however, most priests, like most other men and women absolutely do struggle with living a life of purity! So, to fall into sin is not to negate our intention. In much the same way that every time a married man lusts or masturbates or views porn, he does not negate his married life.

  • @zoehanson999 agreed to the point that masturbation is sinful. I did include that in my previous post. Regarding purity, being both body and spirit, physical and spiritual, there is no such thing as strictly physical purity or purity of the flesh.

  • @zoehanson999 what's your intent in posting this? I don't know that it's entirely pertinent, and I think that it is difficult to navigate. This is a good example of one of the reasons the gnostic or apocryphal gospels or writings are not commonly accepted in the Christian canon.
