Holder’s war on voter-ID laws is racially motivated
Daily Caller December 30, 2011 Ken Blackwell & Ken Klukowski
DOJ has launched an all-out war on voter-ID laws and other measures designed to safeguard the electoral process. Although Holder’s actions are purportedly to prevent African-Americans from being disenfranchised, the reality is that they serve the crass political purpose of ensuring that Holder’s boss gets re-elected next year...by voter fraud.
teenagUUUUUUUUUUUUR, L UUUUUUUUUUUUUrn, id give her a good planting still but only if i had some duct tape for her mouth, oh that sounds bad, you know what i mean lol
Let's pretend that Palin is a historical genius; that Palin answered the Revere question with such accuracy and finesse that she received an honorary doctorate in United States History from Harvard University....
Her answer isn't what irks me; it's the fact that a reporter kindly asked her what she did today, and she claimed he shouted a gotcha question.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA you peole kill me it is not that she got it wrong or right that was not the question she was asked! She is in need of mental help do you people understand that. She had a mental break with reality. I do not care that she messed up the Revere story I do care that the question posed to her had nothing to do with good old Paul.
All you pinheads that slam Palin for her obviously unrehearsed response should go visit your Furor, the one who claims he visited 57 states, with one more to go, not counting Alaska and Hawaii. Go on, say something impressive about him. Say he isn't a twerp after watching this video. I can't post a link in this comment window, so just scroll to the top and type "obama 57 states" in the search bar.
Funny...you all not only say the same thing, you even use the very same words. Could it be that Evangelicals, so easily led, are also vulnerable to demagogic political suggestion?
@formalcon9 I dunno. I can't speak for Evangelicals, or their vulnerabilities. Me? I'm an Athiest. I'm not vulnerable to ANY demagogic suggestion, yours or theirs. I am however a realist, and I look at the facts, both current and historical. I'm vulnerable to reality. Sue me.
With respect to Sarah, the posted video, "40 Years of History In 3 Minutes" might throw a little more reality in her young (for a "politician") face while revisiting The Beatles GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Included are some 8mm film antics of the same time period, all tightly edited to the music. Please enjoy.
Hate thats all this is is hate. She's says something fairly accurate and Liberals go insane trying to pick it to pieces. If Sarah was black would this happen. Nope that would be racism just look at what happens if we disagree with Obama for Gods sake. If Sarah was a Liberal would this happen. Nope that would be going against women. Obama, Pelosi, Biden ALL of them have actually said dumb and incorrect things. Did ANY of these people posting here respond with this kind of hate. Nope.
@pendragonshall She has been derided by Conservatives as well. To be clear, she's been criticized by the entire spectrum. Is it fair? That depends on the criticism. I am not saying she asked for it. I'm only saying that if she is willing to place her and her family in the public eye, it comes with the territory. In my opinion I find it unwise to claim that a person's political affiliation dictates their actions. We're all individuals and every political party has it's fair share of bad apples.
Nothing much accurate about it in the least. She said Revere was warning the British regulars when in fact he was riding to warn Hancock and Adams that British troops were crossing the Charles to arrest them and seize the munitions at Concord. Revere never made it to Concord, he was arrested by a road patrol. But his friend, Dr. Samuel Prescott, did and warned the colonists there. Palin sounded like an ad for the NRA.
As a world leader, the President of the United States, there really shouldn't be such a thing as a "gotcha" question. That's probably pretty far down the list of job challenges, or at least it should be.
Curious. Would anyone like to explain. Just one. One thing she said inaccurately please. And I see a LOT of scared anti-gunners saying this was a spin on modern pro gun talk. lol. Please explain one thing she did or said that was wrong. This wasn't even a Faux Pas. The worst that could be said for her would be her british warning sentance. It was similar to saying George Washington told those British what for at blah blah. And then going "idiot he never said that". But british were also warned
First I know my American history was her first mistake, then warn the British, Then Ring the Bells? What about the Lanterns
Like WTF? He rides thru town and throws bells at people? Maybe he hops off his horse and climbs a few flights of stairs to ring the bell, then back down to his horse and off to the next bell, while throwing bells at people?
Face it, she earned her degree on her back and knees,
@Actongue Just hate. Thats all you got. Her answer was basically correct which shows your ignorance of the event. It doesn't matter what she would have said though. It's hate hate hate. Thats all it is. If she was black this would be called racism. If she was a Liberal this would be called anti woman. But she's a smart succesful conservative. And you hate her. Look at what you wrote. There's no point in arguing with a hater like you. No point in you at all
@pendragonshall Have you noticed that even the majority of conservatives denounce Palin? Have you noticed that even Chris Wallace, a very conservative Fox News anchor, is telling her that she was wrong and laughing at her claim that it was a "shout out, gotcha type of question?" It has nothing to do with her being a female or a Republican. Someone who has an IQ below the national average should not try to run for president. There are Republicans & women who are qualified...she's not one.
@pendragonshall Are you also going to defend Christine O'Donnell? Are you also going to claim that O'Donnell was mocked because she was a female conservative?
All she had to do was regurgitate what we all learned in elementary school, "He rode through the town to warn the people that the British were coming." She tried to spin it into an anti-gun control allegory, but is so inept at impromptu speech that she couldn't get the words out right. Woe unto us if she ever succeeds to high office.
@lisatina69 If you listen to Gov. Palin's COMPLETE response, she talks about what "NEW" things she saw--something that is probably "new" to the vast majority of people: "We saw where Paul Revere hung out as a teenager, which was something new to learn. He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells & making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots & bells that we were going to be secure & free."
Are you from Cons for Palin? You continually make excuses for Palin be it this or her phone call from the "President of France" where she was dumb enough to believe she was in a conversation with Sarkozy for nearly 6 minutes.
Face it, Palin earned her degree on her back and knees, or was asleep the whole time during school.
OMG! This is Great. She had changed her voice tone higher when she mentioned "while he was riding his horse through town", this indicates she knew she was over her head and did not know what to say. I hope she visits Pearl Harbor, I would love to hear her say the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor!
I hope the GOP nominates her, it would be great entertainment.
BLOCK [NPR]: So you think basically, on the whole, Sarah Palin got her history right.
Prof. ALLISON: Well, yeah, she did. And remember, she is a politician. She's not an historian. And God help us when historians start acting like politicians, and I suppose when politicians start writing history. ..
BLOCK [NPR] : Professor Robert Allison is chair of the history department at Suffolk University in Boston.
Where, oh where is the REAL TEA PARTY? "Occupy Wall Street"people warned not to let their efforts get hijacked (like the GOP hijacked the Tea Party) Napolitano suggests common goals.
That isn't a lie. Her comment was inaccurate. She made a slight mistake. Big deal. Why does it matter if she made a small error? Paul Revere never rang any bells nor did he fire any shots, His mission was a clandestine. Nor did he "warn" the British DURING his "ride", he "warned" them after he was captured. Mrs. Palin never states that. She just went on a small tangent. It happens. I'm not saying she lied. I'm saying she misspoke. Is it really that big of a deal? It happens.
Boston University history professor Brendan McConville -
"Basically when Paul Revere was stopped by the British, he did say to them, 'Look, there is a mobilization going on that you'll be confronting,' and the British are aware as they're marching down the countryside, they hear church bells ringing - she was right about that - and warning shots being fired. That's accurate,"
A factuly accurate statement from Palin, with the press of course lying to attack palin with it counting on the american public not to check. Which most will not.
You would think by now that the public would know that the press hate Palin and try to paint her in a bad light all the time.
@mrfrednoname um could you elaborate as to what the lie was, given the context of this video? Are you referring to Mrs. Sarah Palin calling a simple question a "gotcha" question?
@mrfrednoname she didn't get it wrong? really? show me when paul revere rode through town firing shots and ringing bells to "warn the british not to take err gunns"
Gotcha Palin! you dumb fucker!
