I'm opposed to violence against women, but what do high heel shoes have to do with it? I imagine that there are women who wear flats and get abused, too. My wife wears high heels occasionally, and I've never laid a finger on her in anger. I don't quite get this.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, men are equally likely to be victims of violent crime as women. Men also constitute the overwhelming majority of homicide victims.

Yet we have all this hand-wringing and hysteria over violence against women. Moreover, people have the gall to say that women are somehow oppressed or disadvantaged in American society. That's absurd.
