Pro Flight Simulator IS the MOST RECENT and REALISTIC simulator today. I have FSX Gold and I'm getting Pro FS this summer, replacing FSX. FSX lags on computers in any condition. New or destroyed.

@gyroflugsucks you don't need the royalties or even permission if you aren't making a profit, they can only take it off if you don't make it clear that you don't own the rights, if you had to own the royalties to a song to use it on youtube then 99.9% of the videos would be silent

Its a great version, X I mean, but as far as requirments? The basics are metioned and bring nothing to the frame rate, you have to pay big to run it at a decent high rate for run and enviroment. Not sure if its worth it...how about the machines in 2009 now, are they doing better ? RIck

It will easily run the game, but the video is most likely on maxed out settings for FSX, so it probably wont look as good, but it still will look good =D and its fun online... also, you need 14 GB of free hard drive space remaining

It is a great game but beware, it takes about one whole computer to play. Not because the game has a big size but because there are hundreds of add-on planes you end up purchasing.
