this whole thing has been blown way out of portion. She did NOT spend 150,000 on clothes, her campaign advisors did, which is NOT that unusual for Politicians during election time, AND they were ALL returned afterwards, she did not take any of it back with her.
Here's the point, genius: the role of Vice President and by that extension, the potential President of the United States, is not for Hockey Moms who use their children's disabilities to their advantage or preach abstinence yet fail to convince your own daughter (which speaks of the whole plan anyways, when you think about it) nor is it for the 'average Joe'. It's for the exceptional person who can represent them from an intelligent, competent, and selfless position. Qualities she does not have.

i like how, simply because she's republican, she's a descendant of bush. all republicans want to butt fuck bush. yup! you're right! we're so far up bush's ass, we can even think straight. how mature. that comment was probably made because if she hesitates, she gets crucified, so she made the sentence as the thought came into her head
Who said anything about being a descendant of Bush? Cenk was just making a comparison between Palin's and Bush's speaking styles. The comparison isn't that their both republicans, it's that they both have a problem forming sentences, as you put it, as the thoughts come to their heads.
Jesus- tapdancing-Christ! This woman would have been one 72 year old's heart beat away from holding the most powerful office in the country.
And these retards that support her want her in simply because she is attractive?
When I first heard of her, people were literally blowing their loads in their pants left and right. And I finally see her and I'm thinking "This is her? My God, I was expecting her to be on par with Jessica Alba"
@chessaddict1 Paling attractive? Im 19, and i just have no idea i guess, but i thought I found a horse once i saw her on the tele the first time. She looks fishy to. Paling = eel in my lang. So I always call her that. The word ''stupid'' be somewhere in here. But both eel and horse seem stupid enough. This can't happen in china, europe, south america, middle east, india or anywhere else. Because in the US and A, everything is possible.
Nov. 4th was the end for all wright-wing fascists across America. They might ass well travelled to Giulino di Mezzegra and kissed Mussolini's dead ass good bye.
The way you were describing Sarah Palin's speech patterns actually reminds me of my own, and I am terribly insecure so you may be on to something. Knowing Palin does it too makes me want to change...
The 'africa" thing was generated by a guy with a fake blogsite who pretended to be a "top mccain advisor" and you and other unprofessional, too-lazy-to-research msm bought it.
KEMPIRO: I doubt you would remember every single thing you said when being thrown into the most high pressure, demanding position for 2 months without warning. Anyway, if someone else slanders you and fools believe it, it's not up to the victim to set things straight. Press needs to check its sources. Or do you demand nothing of your news media??
*My* news media handled the story pretty well, clearly reported it as hearsay from FOX NEWS. The story was certainly nothing new. Palin's ignorance on an astounding number of issues is plain. And, no, if some jackass said I didn't know that Africa was a continent, I'd know DAMN WELL I never said that because, and here's the kicker, I know perfectly well that it is. Palin has proven herself more than ready to deny accusations that have proven to be true, so why finesse her this one?
The simple difference here is that both Obama and Biden have proven that they know a thing or two. They've been around a while, so their gaff to substance ratio is pretty low. Ms. Palin is new on the scene and her gaff to substance ratio is something in the neighborhood of 50/50 or worse. She has not demonstrated any depth of conprehension of even the talking points she's given. She comes off like a college sophomore b.s.ing her way through her exams.
Kemp: Have you ever heard her talk about energy? She's very knowledgable. She was on fire at the rallies. Difference between her & Barack: she WORKED her way up. She didn't GAME her way up via a godfather (Emil Jones) & propaganda master (Axelrod) and corrupt buddies (Rezko, Auchi, Blagojevich). O - and she has no muslim ties (Farrahkan, muslimhope . org, etc) or ties to former terrorists...
I don't think Palin is a complete idiot like some would say. I know she's a smart woman. She just had some trouble on a couple VERY IMPORTANT pieces of information. But you lose points when you try to assert that Obama's rise was due to luck, knowing the right people or deception. For the record, Farrakhan had noting to do with Obama's rise. He's a smart guy. He KNOWS about this country. And now he's your president. Recognize.
Watching you gives me insight as to what is not news. It's amazing how msnbc and biased journalists like youself bash the right. The infatuation with Palin is evidence of this. 3 days ago Yahoo was reporting about Palin's underwear. Chris Mathews said that it will be his responsibility to help Obama in his reporting. What? Wow! You are right there with him my friend. Distinguish yourself as one who promotes left wing politics by bashing the right. Just please don't call yourself a journalist
Palin places her words in a series of sound-byte based thoughts. If the audience can not have familiar and simple tag-lines and punch-lines delivered in less than 10 seconds, they will not be able to follow.

'Change', Could you tell me who is in the cabinet at the moment. All Clinton Staff is that Change.
Do I agree with Bush foreign policy? lol, Gore was the one who raised the WMD's and AQ in Iraq spectre, Kerry and Biden were key supporters of an invasion. Congress (Dem & Rep) passed the motion to invade. Biden voted for it too. Don't worry I don't blame you for your ignorance. The media is a Dem vechicle so Yes 'CHANGE' is here hurray.
against Obama. It isn't true that "Oh someone else did it so it must be okay." I do have to commend McCain though on one thing I saw in one of his rallies - some lady stood up saying that Obama was a Muslim Terrorist, and McCain took her mic and tried to say that it wasn't true. However, I do also have to say that with all the negative campaigning, the reason why that woman had that misconception was -because- of the McCain campaign. It doesn't make what they did any better and you know that.
Finally, Biden said that he made a mistake when voting for the invasion. I believe I already addressed that. It was easy to see why they did vote for the invasion. However, the point is that Biden knows he made a mistake and is willing to learn from it. McCain's camp pretty much had the opinion of -continuing- preemptive attacks.
Finally I will say this. I think it's sad that you're saying I'm making personal attacks when you're doing them at me instead, and say that I'm saying falsely that
you don't support Obama. It's obvious you don't support Obama, unless you really think such phrases as "Pacifist Obama" and "'Change'" are really supporting him? And I take offense to the fact that you make up extremist quotes that I never said or even came close to saying. But as I said before, if you want to continue to make irrational statements and quotes, go for it. Rational people who read it simply see how irrational and how off-base those accusations are. You talk about Parity and
say we shouldn't bash Palin but here you sit with comments that are -only- negative and offer up no sense of positive ideas at all. I am trying hard not to lump you in with conservatives and all the negativity, but despite all the attempts to address the positions you bring up, you just lash back with accusations, misquotes, and misdirecting points. Change isn't just changing positions in the cabinet. It's about changing mindsets, and replacing the gross irrational negativity with new ideas.

Obama will still bomb my country just like Mccain, so unlike you if a vote for someone they are still accountable, what the heck are you talking about SUPPORTING OBAMA. Heads of states should be challenged. What kind of idiotic irrational racist are you?
Let me reverse your stupid argument 'You must hate your religion because you believe some Muslims pander to victim hood'.
'You must hate whites because you declare some to be dumb and racist'
And I'm sorry but if you're going to tell me that you support Obama and say I can "vote for the right candidate" and say how you're a liberal Muslim and then keep going on about how Muslims are pandering to victimhood, how Obama is so bad etc...I just don't see how you're really for Obama, nor are you really truly liberal. It even seems like you're against people of your own religion. o_O Well that's all I'm going to say, moving on to other videos. You can make more accusations if you want. Bye.

You are a grade A RACIST! Please read your own comments before going back on them and pretending you never said them.
Who the Fuck, are, you to tell me whether I am a Muslim or not? Who are YOU too tell me what a definition of a Liberal Muslim is? You do not own the title. I would have voted for Obama only because he is a lesser shit not because I wanna pray at his alter. My definition of liberal is very different to yours I see.
Obama is being attacked by this terrible hero worship. Which does him no service really.
A lot of the so called accusations against Obama were as a result of a bitter run for the Democratic nomination. Ayers came out during this period. Mr Clinton was even branded as a racist.
I always worry when people tell me, or scream at me, who to hate and how to revere. 'Do not question this guy he is like GOD... why, if you do, that means, you can't possibly be a Muslim, you must be evil.'
say "Oh you don't support Bush so you never were a Republican." Wait what? To be honest, Bush's crap is what made me (and my family, which is what I -really- said) change our views wholeheartedly this year to vote for Obama. I have another friend defying her family's Republican political declaration and voting Democrat against her parents' wishes. Bush did change people's minds on Republicans, you really can't deny that fact.
just quoted. I didn't say "Do not question this guy he is like GOD...why, if you do, that means, you can't possibly be a Muslim, you must be evil." Let me clarify yet again what I said and what you said.
You said that you didn't experience discrimination as a Muslim after 9/11. You also said Muslims were pandering to victimhood, basically saying that no other Muslims suffered. That is absolutely wrong. Just because you didn't suffer doesn't mean others didn't. It has nothing to do with Obama.
As for (and I'm going to quote you) "the accusations against Obama being a result of a bitter run for the Democratic nomination" - I think what you're trying to say is that McCain isn't responsible for his negative advertising or slandering/making up things because other people said it first.
That's nonsense. I'm going to sit here and say that those that leveraged those issues against Obama from the Democratic party were wrong to begin with. However, that doesn't excuse McCain from using them
This guy is so obnoxious and is a blatant, liberal weenie head!!!!!!! Sure idiot, let's take people LITERALLLY, like you do not make mistakes when speaking. If I were a guy I would kick your ass. Fpreign f*ck.
So, attack Palin. Do whatever it takes to bring her down, sex scandals, stupid unjustified crap. Yeah go ahead. But no one gets Joe Biden. Why don't they make a porn movie about Michelle Obama? No, that would be considered 'racist' Because everything now is racist now that Obama is the president. And black people can't be racist? WTF?
I know this wasn't to me, but don't down the "gloaters" as typical. Months before it looked like Obama was a sure thing, racist, ugly McCain supporters flooded the net with a bunch of "he'll never wins" or "that nigger won't get elected." There was such confidence in an Obama loss that I think that's why some of them are so upset today. They almost felt like the white house was an entitlement.
Palin is vapid. Have you noticed how she waves to crowds like a fourth grader gettin' on a bus goin' on a field trip? Or, more likely, jumpin' in a limo headin' to Neiman Marcus for a shoppin' trip? Why is her youngest daughter sportin' a Louis Vuitton bag?
He's not saying get rid of the Republicans. He's saying that the Republican party would be better off if they got rid of the people who currently screw up leading them. I'm of the same mind. I truthfully do not think all Republicans are as close-minded and so blatantly ignorant, or at least I hope not. I have a few friends that are conservative that can objectively debate points with me over lunch. Right now, the GOP is in a very unhealthy state that restricts its members in a bad way.
Okay Dodger, I have read your comments before now and respectfully tried not to reply to bash them further. But since you replied to me I'll give it a shot.
1) I'm talking about restrictions in the way that the GOP is hampering the voice of the Republicans by screwing up the election for them. Your citing of Obama means nothing because Obama's campaign, as is widely agreed, was a success and that he was elected shows just that.
So you find it acceptable to censor the opposition and run your YT channel like it was Communist Cuba?
To threaten people who advertise negative ads about your candidate with criminal prosecution using a "Truth Squad" of local prosecutors in that candidate's back pocket?
It's called the First Amendment. It applies to the speech that you DON'T LIKE, also.
But HEY! So what? As long as it gets YOUR GUY elected, RIGHT?
Is THAT what you are saying with your last sentence?
XD Oh man, this is so typical of debates with people that make the same assertions you do. You keep saying "Communist Cuba" and "Truth Squad" as if they mean anything, and as if they bolster the credentials behind your argument.
Actually yes, I do feel that the Obama campaign did fine in choosing that their channel be run in a "private forum" type manner where there are rules set. The Obama channel's purpose was not to debate or bring up ideas to the candidate. If it were, then I would agree.
Yes, I believe that facts about how Obama ran his campaign DO bolster my argument.
So you approve of THEIR silencing of dissenting comments, but those of McCain, OH MY GOD?
Because if McCain's YT channel censored like Obama's, it would be front-page news! So why wasn't it so....OH YEAH! That's right: the liberal media and the Hollywood left! I forgot!
I think you're forgetting that key people in the media are conservatives, and totally forget too that FOX news channel, which is admittedly the Republican channel, started bashing their own candidate. I think you need to stop thinking in the pre-created boxes of "Omg the liberal media blah blah" and realize that you're pretty much seeking out those liberals in the media (like this channel) yourself. But it's digressing from the big idea which I'll get to in a second.
Fox News is NOT the "Republican channel". They are the other side of the news, to provide a sense of balance to what CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, etc. are NOT saying.
Some people are conservatives in the media. But most AREN'T.
And the ones that ARE conservative are a whole lot more HONEST about THEIR political leanings than the liberals have ever been.
A balance? We report you decide? Please, don't tell me that FOX actually ascribes to those things. Honestly, that amuses me that you don't see how FOX News is right-leaning. You just described it as "showing a side that the other news channels don't." Then you describe the other news channels as "overly liberal." Doesn't it logically follow that you too realize that FOX is highly conservative? I agree that some channels are highly liberal, but CNN for example is pretty objective.
As for the "First Amendment" idea that it applies to speech I don't like, please feel free to read my comments about how I stand behind the idea that despite not liking what you may say, I will defend your right to say it about the government. However, I will say this - you don't have the right to impose what you say on people if they don't like it in a private forum. Public forum? Of course you can say what you want. But private? They set some rules in place, and I don't see that as remiss.
2) Restricting critical comments was probably a good campaign decision, and another thing is true of this: The youtube page was a part of their promotions. Of COURSE they were going to restrict comments if they got out of hand. The page was not a part of the government, but was a publicity channel through which Obama videos could be posted to bolster his image. I'm sorry to say but what a person or group does with their youtube channel is their decision, and you don't have a "right" to comment.
Oh I'm sorry, you're saying the Republicans were about free exchange of ideas? I think I'll just have to laugh at that one. Secondly, that they didn't choose to censor their own channel was probably a big mistake on their part because it only led to more public bashing. Open exchange of political ideas is fine but in the right places.
The brandishing of these supposedly big words with capital letters really undermines your thoughts sir. Please calm down and try to make some sense.
Well, I'm just pointing out something that is also my opinion and it really does hurt your point of view. :) If you don't want to stop capitalizing and saying phrases you think will mean something that have nothing to do with what you're saying, that's fine by me. I'm just giving you some pointers that's all.
And as you can see from the situation, I'm certainly not copping out. Please get back on topic. :)
XD Oh that is rich. You say that you support McCain because you want a campaign that accepts other people's ideas. Then you say you don't need pointers and won't listen to my opinion. I think you just pretty much showed how hypocritical you are right there. I'll just leave it at that because I couldn't have destroyed your position more than you just did yourself. I believe your idea of accepting ideas is different from mine, so I'll respectfully agree to disagree with you. :)
Couple things, You gotta know that NO ONE in America knew who Palin was. So all we had were those hilarious interviews she did. And,dude, they weren't simple gaffes. She completely showed an obvious ignorance on things a VP should know. And as far as Biden's critique's of Obama, of course he said some crazy stuff about him. That's how it is in politics. When you're competing, you say horrible things about the other guy. When you guys are on the same team, you forget all those "faults."
Everybody has those moments where they say the wrong thing during an interview. The media just chose to edit those of Obama/Biden out when covering THEM!
Keep in mind that Sarah Palin is not a slick Washington politician like Obama/Biden, so she is going to have "moments". The liberals in the media and Hollywood just choose to use those moments when critiquing her.
Don't pull that shit. Yeah public figures will inevitably make a couple mistakes here and there. We get that. But that's not what Palin did. I mean her answer to her foreign policy experience had nothing to do with misspeaking. it was about ignorance. Kill that "liberal media" garbage. She simply didn't know stuff. Nothing was taken out of context. Those were her answers. And of course that shit made news, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN OUR VICE PRESIDENT!!! You guys reach far to justify your bullshit.
I've been watching her in the last week and I can honestly say that she seems like a cool person. I know she loves her family and am convinced she loves her country. I actually hate that folks are trying to blame her for the loss. But having said that, I wouldn't want her as my VP. Not only from a national point of view, but also from an INTERNATIONAL point of view. Our respect would have evaporated. Let her stay in Alaska and govern them.
"Don't pull that shit. Yeah public figures will inevitably make a couple mistakes here & there. We get that. But that's not what Palin did. I mean her answer to her foreign policy experience had nothing to do w/ misspeaking. it was about ignorance. Kill that "liberal media" garbage. She simply didn't know stuff. Nothing was taken out of context. Those were her answers. And of course that shit made news, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN OUR VICE PRESIDENT! You guys reach far to justify your bullshit"
I'm sure that if you sent respectful letters to Obama if he was your senator before the election, he would read them no matter which way the opinion ran. But if you expect the campaign to tolerate incessant bashing of Obama in their own publicity channel, you have GOT to be out of your mind.
I seriously doubt McCain even sat down and watched his own youtube comments or even read them all. I also doubt that Obama read his own either. But that's the point. If there was to be an argument that should be raised to Obama, you think it was best to do it on Youtube in a comment that would be buried under all of the other comments? Their Youtube was made with a specific purpose in mind, it was meant as promotion for Obama. McCain's Youtube was also meant to be the same for him. However,
it shows how off-track McCain's campaign was if they didn't take the steps to direct how their own publicity was going. During debates with Obama, there were certainly no restrictions on critical analysis on his own policies and rightly so. Those official situations are public forums in which people have a right to question. But as I said before, McCain's campaign would have been justified in censoring his own youtube channel just as Obama's campaign did.
But McCain is a lot more principled than Obama. He has more respect for the freedoms of those who disagree with him than Obama ever had. Which is why it is sad that Obama won.
Are you serious? o_O Did you even watch the presidential debates? Or even seen McCain's own Campaign? McCain made some of the worst attacks on Obama's stances on issues during both the campaigns and during the debates. Certainly you must be living on another planet entirely where the McCain stance was to accept and invite in other ideas and Obama's wasn't. You're making up these allegations about Obama out of thin air, as if you know them both personally. Seriously stop before you hurt yourself.
And my "allegations" are based upon my posting a respectful comment critical of Obama on one of his videos and having it be blocked and denied, and hearing the same thing happen to a lot of other conservative commenters. I make up nothing. I do not lie about politics.
on what the media in America tell you so is happening is telling. What makes me laugh is that people like you spout of such racist crap thinking that no-one will challenge it.
Your yelling and panting on Obama's behalf is not necerssary. Such vampid love is usually the reserve of dictators who insist on it. It does remind me of the time of Hitler love, which you clearly demonstrate. Your 'ad hominem' attacks are also telling.
Arguing about Parity to the likes of you is wasting gas.
Me yelling and panting on Obama's behalf? Well sure, if you think that you can go around bashing him and standing up for Palin on grounds that don't exist (like saying how every attack on her is sexist and saying none on Obama are racist). There is a middle ground, both sides have done their share of damage. What I take issue with in your initial comment (which was saying that any attack on Obama is in our minds racist but not sexist when it's used against Palin) is too radical. Few of us think
she's unfit because she's a woman. Neither do we deny (or in this particular case, I do not deny) that there are situations in which we have unjustly accused Palin. (Wardrobe example a clear example of something I didn't bring up, because I feel it's somewhat sexist, though the bill itself ia high, they probably offered it to her) Palin herself is not to blame too for being in the spotlight. But you simply deny that anything about Obama is racist and say everything on Palin is sexist? :/ Right.
Here's the deal. I realize you have a vested interest in our politics, and you have a connection both with Palin and Obama. And it seems that what your stance is is the fact that we shouldn't bash Palin for being a woman if we're going to complain that people bash Obama because he's a Muslim. I totally back that. But then you say crap about how your fellow Muslims never suffered, how I'm supposedly saying we should rape or stone Palin as a woman...lady that's crossing the line alright? :/
And I keep saying this but he isn't a Muslim anyway. You have to realize that the GOP didn't say he was a Muslim and had ties to terrorists for no reason, despite apparent evidence to the contrary. (Him being a devout Christian etc) It was to try to use the supposed irrational fear and hatred in America against Muslims as of late. But what is astounding and amazing is that it didn't work. That speaks loads about us and how we can change. Unless you really agree with the U.S. foreign policy and
our direction in the world under Bush's regime. If you want to take issue with something in the Obama campaign that lumps people into a group, take it up with the fact that they were trying to paint McCain's candidacy as a 3rd term for Bush. That's literally as negative as he got. If you compare that to how McCain's campaign got negative and lied and made up things about Obama, you'd see how different it was and why I'm pointing this out as a big deal. Also I think it's sad that
the controversy over Palin overshadowed the real debate, which should have been Obama and Bush instead of Obama versus Palin (Which if you'll be honest is how it turned out to be). But McCain's campaign chose Sarah Palin themselves, which speaks loads about them as well. The more we know about how Sarah Palin can't do the job the more we realize that the McCain campaign didn't do their homework. And I'm not really going to back a President backed by a team that just wings it. It is rather
rather apparent that if we elected McCain, the whole problem with lack of checking up on the facts, the deceit etc would continue.
Here's the deal though. You're basically pointing at a very insubstantial point, arguing pointlessly that just because some of the things about Palin were sexist that it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with her. When in fact there are legitimate concerns that have nothing to do with gender/religion/etc. That's the bottom line. And I think that's ridiculous.
and a Muslim but you attack the positions of both. What you really come off as is a person that really mostly is focusing on gender issues and tries to connect "shocking" things to me in order to attempt to leverage opinion against me. And that's the exact type of thing I don't tolerate from either party because it completely defies logic. Here's the deal. If you want to say I'm a Hitler supporter etc go for it. Those with common sense will see how your attack is illogical and hypocritical.
The difference between Palin and Biden faults are that Biden actually said "Yes, I was wrong" and also, Obama said that he chose Biden specifically because he didn't want someone at his right hand that simply agreed with everything he said. In this way, despite Biden's conflicting decisions with Obama, it is obvious that Obama both recognizes the conflict of ideas and welcomes that conflict. McCain however didn't seem to realize that Palin came up into politics through earmarks, and didn't
realize that she was so blatantly ignorant until near the end, and by the time the campaign realized this, it simply led to political infighting and condemnation, and ultimately people "picking sides" between McCain and Palin. Seeing that fact and the differences between the two campaigns and the two reactions by the candidates shows yet another reason why people backed Obama and why I supported his campaign.
In terms of Bush and me having some conservative ideas, yes, what I said is true. You
When you're reading youtube comments for things to quote, or for things to base your opinion on, remember this:
The extreme comments you quoted are posted because those that think them up can't help but be loudmouths. Those extreme small-minded comments may be posted by a bunch of hotheaded idiots whose actions that "group" didn't even condone.
What they say is wrong. Please don't join them in making small-minded comments on the opposite side.
Calm down man, what are you going on about? Your all over the place! Thats the problem right there. You see attacks when there is none. Gosh just look at the amount of messages you've sent. All of them baseless because you are really attacking someone who you have no idea about apart from the fact that I have stated that Palin is on the butt end of some serious sexism like Clinton(Even though you believe the horrid comments have some validiity
First, the only reason I'm "all over the place" is because you brought up a bunch of points yourself that I have to address.
I did not make the assertion that if you're not with Obama, you're against him. However, your views and assertions so far are literally attacking him, and attacking me as an "Obama supporter," not actually going on facts.
Continuing on, Biden's disagreements with Obama were made clear and Obama actually recognized the faults, and incorporated that into his image.
See KalecLostsol you can't see your own hypocrisy; Stand back and look at your own statments and you will see it clearly. You appear very aggresive towards anyone bashing Obama yet you feel the attacks against Palin are justified. I'm sorry I don't fit neatly in the box you have put me in and labeled for you own benefit. Racism is 'when people are stereotyped because of their colour or religion'. Your stereotyping of me telling me what my expereince should be based on
I'm going to say one thing that makes your entire point moot.
I didn't realize that you lived in the U.K. Not even in the U.S. That alone makes it obvious why you didn't feel the effects that Muslims in the U.S. did.
Though that point aside, the fact that you didn't feel any backlash doesn't mean other Muslims did not. That was my entire point anyway. But it's certainly amusing that you say I'm lumping you with a group when all you and the other guy say is "Typical Obama supporter/liberal."
The GOP has nobody but themselves to blame. I could make a long list as to why John McCain lost the election, but I'll keep it breif by saying this to any GOP supporter out there.
GET RID OF THE NEO CONSERVITIVES WHO ARE LEADING THE REPUBLICANS. They are not only ruining your image, they're holding you down! Speak up, and bring your party back before they screw up another election for you!
Good luck to her--she'll need it! IT'S TIME TO "REIGN IN" YOUR SPENDING SARAH PALIN AND "SHORE UP" YOUR DWINDLING SELF-ESTEEM! Give back those clothes you greedy, grasping woman! SHAME ON YOU!
that, the thing that sets him apart from Palin is a thorough knowledge of theory and a background that includes much more advanced education than Palin has. He is not only more well-spoken, but he also has the ability to try to make up for his lack of experience by traveling abroad to gain foreign experience, while Palin simply used the fact that Alaska is near Russia and Canada as her "Foreign experience." Yes, Obama/Biden has faults. But the fact that you cry sexist when the things brought up
"...whoever is the next president, is gonna have to deal with a whole host of challenges internationally and that a period of transition in a new administration is always one in which we have to be vigilant," he said. "We have to be careful, we have to be mindful that as we pass the baton in this democracy that others dont take advantage of it. That is true whether its myself or Sen McCain and its been throughout our history."
You think you are a celebrity now. I hope you experience TOTAL humiliation! Not only is she dumb as dirt, she is greedy as hell. Just like that buddy of hers she's palling around with. BUSH.
Give the clothes back Sarah. You are one greedy cow.

You can say what you want about Palin but saying anything about Obama is racist. I just picked these two gems from you lovely democrats.
'Whats the difference between Palin's vagina and her mouth? only one retarded thing came out of her vagina.' How nice, pissed of she didn't kill her baby at birth
How about this ' I'd rape her and beat the sh*t out of her and then she can buy her own rape kit'. Yes raping a candidate is OK as long as its Palin. If it was Michelle we would be up in arms.
In response to you, Robin, if someone says that a legitimate question about Obama is racist, then they're wrong. I supported Obama and I can definitely say that. Not all questions about him are racist, but I can say that some things about his religion and well, his -race-, WERE in fact racist. I can say the same about Palin. There are some questions that I will admit and agree are sexist. However, questions like...not knowing South Africa is a country? That has NOTHING to do with her gender. :/
In terms of the first statement you debate, which is probably some joke you heard somewhere, that is a pretty inappropriate joke and whichever side of the aisle you're from, in the context of an intellectual debate that's definitely out of line. However, the idea behind it is this: Palin tends to well, say a bunch of stupid things and actually comes across as (and McCain campaign aides back this) ignorant and doesn't know the first thing about the U.S.
Secondly, the statement about raping her and make her buy her own rape kit is a strong statement and equally inappropriate in an intellectual debate. But this is what people's gut reaction is in response to this issue: That Palin made women pay for their own rape kits in her hometown, in an effort to reduce the numbers of reported rape crimes. Wait what? Well of course people are going to report it less if they even have to pay for their own rape kits. It doesn't mean rape didn't happen. :?
So you can dodge those issues and try to belittle people who bring them up but the fact remains. While those words you quoted are inappropriate, people do probably say those things in private, and it all points to two key issues about Palin that show that she was inept and a bad choice. I'm not saying it's all on her. As Cenk said, the people that chose her as VP are to blame as well for making a mockery of the party my family has supported until recently. Bush is to blame too.
As for you condoning the nasty filth that has been thrown at Palin proves to me that you have no moral fibre whatsoever. That party loyalty trumps any respect you should afford fellow women. Retard Children, Beating and raping Palin, Referring Palin in pornographic terms and the assassination of her character shows that were women are concerned we don't care how low we get. If inexperience is what you detest then you should have voted McCain. This is where your lie is evident.
I'm sorry, but you don't seem to have read even a shred of any of what I said. I do NOT condone any of the "filth" as you put it, which I already said was "inappropriate" in an intellectual debate. However, you are absolutely ignoring the problems about her that lie behind the so-called filth. I think it's apparent that you also embody the lying and over-exaggeration that Palin and McCain had, with a lack of intelligent ideas or analysis of the truth. And so I find it pointless to argue anymore.
You brandy about the terms lies and over-exaggeration and cannot see any of this whatsoever in the Obama/Biden campaign. And you want to debate with me about intelligent ideas, please?
What you want to talk about is how distasteful Palin is and how great Obama is.
I can't be bothered with Obama fawning and Palin nastiness. Keep it for misogynistic people like yourself Bye.
Finally I will say this to those saying "Don't bash Pain." I agree she's an easy target, but the fact is that she wants to, and people in the Republican party, support her running in the next election. By all means guys, if you want to support her running go for it - if Obama does a good job, then he'll have a landslide victory due to her faults. But talking about faults is necessary if she's going to be a candidate, because the more we know about her the better.
Palin considers herself a feminist and belongs to a feminist organisation. I am a Muslim and if you came to me and said you can't be cuz all of the Muslims you know say that I'm not. I would tell you to shove it where the sun doesnt shine.
Feminist organisations are two a penny. Suffragettes fighting for equality fought off more women than men even though there gains wouldve and did benefit all women. Women hate women.
That second sentence in the reply was confusing. First of all, how does this feminist thing have anything to do with the topics I presented? I never denied that there were some sexist issues, I already said there were. But not ALL of them are sexist. I don't care to be frank if you're a Muslim or not, that has nothing to do with it, but if you want to say that, then yes - I believe that it is wrong to hate a candidate based on their religion. It makes little sense, and I think you'll agree.
There were questions brought up about Obama saying he's a Muslim, and people saying that's a bad thing. As a Muslim yourself, you should understand how it is to be faced with this situation in our country after 9/11. What's wrong with freedom of religion in this country? And that's why I think that the people that say how Palin is a Christian is bad are also wrong. Reverse discrimination is the same as discrimination. What I DO think however, is that her lack of knowledge on matters, and her
Don't tell me what I should be feeling or believing as a Muslim. What happens to liberals which I feel is a complete betrayal is that they align themselves with the very people who are against everything they say they stand for i.e. My fellow Muslims who want to execute gays etc. When you do that it is a betrayal of Liberal Muslims. This misplaced pandering is wrong and akin to racism.
You can vote for Obama (the right person) but ensure parity and fairplay.
I never said you should feel or believe something. I only said that you probably have felt the effects of the extreme negativity against Muslims after the terrorist attacks. This is not speculation, it is 100 percent true that Americans hated Muslims for a long time after the attacks and judged people on their looks and religion. In terms of putting me in a group with "the liberals" and saying they this they that, I think it's amusing because until recently, my family has voted republican.
I'm not meaning to put you on the spot here, really. So sorry if this is not what you want to hear or are used to hearing.
You said you don't want me to generalise but you have just generalised yourself speaking on behalf of all Americans. Not all Americans are racist. To be completely honest I felt no negativity whatsoever, however, I know for a fact many of my fellow muslims used this opportunity to vent their racism. The day after 9/11 on the BBC their were people chanting 'Hurray'
Actually, it is what I'm used to hearing, but yes the experience is a bit different for me, because honestly I don't comment very much usually.
Racism is the wrong word for religious segregation, Muslims aren't a race. That aside, if you didn't feel the effects then good for you - I'm glad for that. However, it is an absolute truth even on election day that there are people who really do hate Muslims in some way and partly due to the 9/11 attacks.
Sitting next to me in a booth on election day were these three older people bashing Obama because they believed he is a Muslim, literally talking trash about him in a public restaurant rather loudly. We ended up having to move tables because of the hate they spewed. That aside, the whole premise that Obama is a Muslim is in fact a LIE. He is a Christian. You see how this works? And guess who painted Obama as a so-called Muslim? I really wonder who. :/ The GOP tried to take advantage of
hostility against Muslims to paint Obama as a Muslim and turn it against him. But it didn't work. I am SO very proud that he won the election despite those deceitful tactics. Fair play? Right. If you support the GOP and say they're fair, I'm going to just stop arguing here and now because there is no way to convince you if you saw their campaign and thought "This is fair" then turn around and say the Democrats aren't fair. -_- Good day to you sir. Your conclusions really baffle me in a bad way.
Aligning myself with the people who are against everything I stand for? To be frank, I never "aligned" myself with any religion, let alone radical religious Muslims when I said I support Freedom of Religion. As the old saying goes with Freedom of Speech, I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death so that you may have the right to say it. The same is true of religion. I do not agree with either side (Christian or Muslim) 100 percent nor do I condone the radicals. However,
Sorry my truth is not PC. I love my religion but it has been hijacked, hence, having Obama as President gives them less of an excuse to pander to victim hood (It would have been a million times happier if he ran as a Muslim)
Palin my not be ready for VP fair play. But to totally demean her is completely wrong. I value the skills a woman brings by virtue of bringing up children. I dont think running a government needs a PHD. Some of the most stupidist idiots I know have PHDs.
Here's the thing. Running the government isn't anything like raising children. That you're actually using the fact that she's got skills because she's a woman capable of bringing up children is the -real- sexist part of this whole thing. Our nation does in fact require knowledge of the economy, which Obama knows. It isn't enough that he has a PhD I agree. However, he demonstrates knowledge and has the backing of top economists in the U.S., McCain had no backing. Even if economists can't be
100 percent correct, that they have a sound foundation of looking at the past for mistakes and have sound theory of economics is far more important to our nation right now than whatever ideas Palin might come up with with her knowledge of what...hockey and raising kids? If that were the case, my own MOTHER has the same credentials as Palin if those are her biggest assets. Come on seriously. :/ But back to the point of your hatred of the fact that you religion has been hijacked and your fellow
Muslims pander to victimhood is the -real- betrayal of all here. I agree that in some cases, people cry too much about discrimination, but the fact that you try to speak on behalf of your entire religion saying that they haven't been discriminated against, when -real evidence- in real life and on the news etc points to the opposite, shows a blatant ignorance and a refusal to believe that people in your own religion have suffered by the actions of a few.
So don't tell me I'm supposedly pandering to victimhood and betraying my own kind by saying what I say when you commit the worst hypocrisies of all. This is my last response, you can have the last word if you want, honestly the more you say the more you shoot yourself in the foot. But if you must try, go for it. How you got to this channel I'll never know, but I really don't see how your argument at all changes the fact that there are legitimate concerns about Palin if she runs in 2012 as well.
just because I don't subscribe to either side doesn't mean I can't support your right to believe those things. I am not being hypocritical. :) I'm concerned though that you are yelling at Liberals and saying how "they" this and "they" that and then say you're a Liberal Muslim?
But that aside, how does me saying anything I did reduce the idea of fair play in the election? If anything, Obama was very polite with Palin and said nothing about her in a bad way even when she was first nominated.
You should go look up videos of that particular interview with Biden and Obama when the question was brought up about what Obama thought about Palin as a VP pick for the GOP. Obama's method of campaigning was far more towards "fair play" than McCain's, which was to bash Obama even during presidential debates and spam negative ads that made it seem like Obama aligned himself with Terrorists. You said before that you "would have" supported Obama, which means that you didn't support him.
Now you turn around and say how you seem to be behind Obama the entire time to try to flip it on me? No, you can't do that and get away with it. Be consistent. I certainly already stated that I support Obama -because- of his knowledge and sense of fairplay versus the GOP.
And I think that the "Don't stone fellow women" comment at the very end still has nothing to do with the debate I'm having with you. I am not attacking anyone I feel that belongs in whatever group you think I belong to.
extreme negativity, her lies and over-exaggeration about negative points on Obama and a lack of useful -ideas- about how to fix things despite her claims that Obama's ideas are wrong make her a bad VP pick. The fact that McCain did much of the same negativity and ran so many negative campaign ads also points to the way their campaign was going and how they would act if we chose them as the winners in the election. That is why I supported Obama, because he HAS ideas and has a positive message.
To be frank though, I'd really like to see someone competent that doesn't exhibit the ignorance of Palin run as the Republican nominee next time. I'm just sick of those very things, including the negativity and all the cover-ups. They're destroying the party. I'm also tired of it destroying the country too. And as the election showed, a majority of Americans is ready to move on and support a candidate that represents something different.
I would have voted for Obama even though he is no more experienced than Palin, but then I am a liberally minded person. However, all the stuff you have come up with is complete tosh. The attacks against Palin and Clinton were sexist. Biden a seasoned insider of 20 years has made more gaffs in this campaign than Palin and Clinton put together yet he has not been brought to account. America has tried to shed its racist image but it is definitely sexist.
Name the attacks that you believe are sexist. You say that as if EVERY single thing that was said about Palin was sexist. I admit that many things about Clinton were definitely sexist, but with Palin, there are legitimate issues. Neither did I say that some arguments against Biden/Obama weren't founded. I simply said that most were not racist and nobody said they were until you stated it yourself. In terms of Obama versus Palin in terms of experience, he does have more experience. But more than
are legitimate concerns that have nothing to do with her being a woman but more on the fact that she is definitely lacking in some basic knowledge (She was supposed to be vice-president, how can you be the 2nd in command of a nation in North America when you can't even name the North American countries? :?). As I said, there ARE sexist or racist comments. But if you are to denounce supposed liberals saying it's all racist when people bring up concerns about Obama, you can't then turn around and
use the notion that everything against Palin is sexist. Anybody that says everything on Obama is racist is wrong. Anybody that says everything about Palin is sexist is wrong. But there ARE legitimate concerns as well as illegitimate concerns about both. Be consistent in your beliefs.

And, no, if some jackass said I didn't know that Africa was a continent, I'd know DAMN WELL I never said that because, and here's the kicker, I know perfectly well that it is. Biden: 3 letter word: JOBS
beethovenqueen 3 years ago
The simple difference here is that both Obama and Biden have proven that they know a thing or two. They've been around a while, so their gaff to substance ratio is pretty low. Ms. Palin is new on the scene and her gaff to substance ratio is something in the neighborhood of 50/50 or worse. She has not demonstrated any depth of conprehension of even the talking points she's given. She comes off like a college sophomore b.s.ing her way through her exams.

against Obama.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
Finally, Biden said that he made a mistake when voting for the invasion. I believe I already addressed that. It was easy to see why they did vote for the invasion. However, the point is that Biden knows he made a mistake and is willing to learn from it. McCain's camp pretty much had the opinion of -continuing- preemptive attacks.

KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
As for (and I'm going to quote you) "the accusations against Obama being a result of a bitter run for the Democratic nomination" - I think what you're trying to say is that McCain isn't responsible for his negative advertising or slandering/making up things because other people said it first.
That's nonsense. I'm going to sit here and say that those that leveraged those issues against Obama from the Democratic party were wrong to begin with. However, that doesn't excuse McCain from using them

Wanna talk about "restrictions"?
How about how the Obama YT page restricted critical comments on its videos?
What is this, COMMUNIST CUBA?
Is THAT how Obama plans to run the nation and deal with critics?
Have them be visited by "Truth Squads"?
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
Okay Dodger, I have read your comments before now and respectfully tried not to reply to bash them further. But since you replied to me I'll give it a shot.
1) I'm talking about restrictions in the way that the GOP is hampering the voice of the Republicans by screwing up the election for them. Your citing of Obama means nothing because Obama's campaign, as is widely agreed, was a success and that he was elected shows just that.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
So you find it acceptable to censor the opposition and run your YT channel like it was Communist Cuba?
To threaten people who advertise negative ads about your candidate with criminal prosecution using a "Truth Squad" of local prosecutors in that candidate's back pocket?
It's called the First Amendment. It applies to the speech that you DON'T LIKE, also.
But HEY! So what? As long as it gets YOUR GUY elected, RIGHT?
Is THAT what you are saying with your last sentence?
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
XD Oh man, this is so typical of debates with people that make the same assertions you do. You keep saying "Communist Cuba" and "Truth Squad" as if they mean anything, and as if they bolster the credentials behind your argument.
Actually yes, I do feel that the Obama campaign did fine in choosing that their channel be run in a "private forum" type manner where there are rules set. The Obama channel's purpose was not to debate or bring up ideas to the candidate. If it were, then I would agree.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Yes, I believe that facts about how Obama ran his campaign DO bolster my argument.
So you approve of THEIR silencing of dissenting comments, but those of McCain, OH MY GOD?
Because if McCain's YT channel censored like Obama's, it would be front-page news! So why wasn't it so....OH YEAH! That's right: the liberal media and the Hollywood left! I forgot!
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
I think you're forgetting that key people in the media are conservatives, and totally forget too that FOX news channel, which is admittedly the Republican channel, started bashing their own candidate. I think you need to stop thinking in the pre-created boxes of "Omg the liberal media blah blah" and realize that you're pretty much seeking out those liberals in the media (like this channel) yourself. But it's digressing from the big idea which I'll get to in a second.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Fox News is NOT the "Republican channel". They are the other side of the news, to provide a sense of balance to what CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, etc. are NOT saying.
Some people are conservatives in the media. But most AREN'T.
And the ones that ARE conservative are a whole lot more HONEST about THEIR political leanings than the liberals have ever been.
Fox News was not bashing McCain.
They were reporting the news.
"We report, you decide"?
Sound familiar?
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
As for the "First Amendment" idea that it applies to speech I don't like, please feel free to read my comments about how I stand behind the idea that despite not liking what you may say, I will defend your right to say it about the government. However, I will say this - you don't have the right to impose what you say on people if they don't like it in a private forum. Public forum? Of course you can say what you want. But private? They set some rules in place, and I don't see that as remiss.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
2) Restricting critical comments was probably a good campaign decision, and another thing is true of this: The youtube page was a part of their promotions. Of COURSE they were going to restrict comments if they got out of hand. The page was not a part of the government, but was a publicity channel through which Obama videos could be posted to bolster his image. I'm sorry to say but what a person or group does with their youtube channel is their decision, and you don't have a "right" to comment.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Where was the censorship on McCain's YT channel?
NOWHERE!
Why not?
Because SOME CANDIDATES believe in the open exchange of political ideas, and some (Obama/Biden) DON'T!
I wasn't talking about "out of hand" comments. I was talking about ANY comments critical of THEIR GUY at all!
And the very IDEA they would censor like that, so that only the "approved" point-of-view goes through smacks of TOTALITARIANISM!
Someone that would do that DESERVES at least SOME criticism.
So where was it?
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
Oh I'm sorry, you're saying the Republicans were about free exchange of ideas? I think I'll just have to laugh at that one. Secondly, that they didn't choose to censor their own channel was probably a big mistake on their part because it only led to more public bashing. Open exchange of political ideas is fine but in the right places.
The brandishing of these supposedly big words with capital letters really undermines your thoughts sir. Please calm down and try to make some sense.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
I capitalize certain words to add emphasis to them, as though I am speaking them out loud. That's how I comment. Don't like it? Too bad.
BTW, I am perfectly calm.
Your saying that I am NOT is a cop-out on YOUR part.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
Well, I'm just pointing out something that is also my opinion and it really does hurt your point of view. :) If you don't want to stop capitalizing and saying phrases you think will mean something that have nothing to do with what you're saying, that's fine by me. I'm just giving you some pointers that's all.
And as you can see from the situation, I'm certainly not copping out. Please get back on topic. :)
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
I don't need the "pointers". Thanks but no thanks.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago

CHEETAH69 3 years ago
Everybody has those moments where they say the wrong thing during an interview. The media just chose to edit those of Obama/Biden out when covering THEM!
Keep in mind that Sarah Palin is not a slick Washington politician like Obama/Biden, so she is going to have "moments". The liberals in the media and Hollywood just choose to use those moments when critiquing her.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
Don't pull that shit. Yeah public figures will inevitably make a couple mistakes here and there. We get that. But that's not what Palin did. I mean her answer to her foreign policy experience had nothing to do with misspeaking. it was about ignorance. Kill that "liberal media" garbage. She simply didn't know stuff. Nothing was taken out of context. Those were her answers. And of course that shit made news, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN OUR VICE PRESIDENT!!! You guys reach far to justify your bullshit.
CHEETAH69 3 years ago
I wish she WAS our vice president. I would feel a lot better about her being VP than Joe Biden.
As for the rest...I stand by what I said about the media.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
I've been watching her in the last week and I can honestly say that she seems like a cool person. I know she loves her family and am convinced she loves her country. I actually hate that folks are trying to blame her for the loss. But having said that, I wouldn't want her as my VP. Not only from a national point of view, but also from an INTERNATIONAL point of view. Our respect would have evaporated. Let her stay in Alaska and govern them.

I'm sure that if you sent respectful letters to Obama if he was your senator before the election, he would read them no matter which way the opinion ran. But if you expect the campaign to tolerate incessant bashing of Obama in their own publicity channel, you have GOT to be out of your mind.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
McCain "tolerated" it.
It's called freedom of speech.
McCain's channel respected it, Obama's did not.
End of story.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
I seriously doubt McCain even sat down and watched his own youtube comments or even read them all. I also doubt that Obama read his own either. But that's the point. If there was to be an argument that should be raised to Obama, you think it was best to do it on Youtube in a comment that would be buried under all of the other comments? Their Youtube was made with a specific purpose in mind, it was meant as promotion for Obama. McCain's Youtube was also meant to be the same for him. However,
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
it shows how off-track McCain's campaign was if they didn't take the steps to direct how their own publicity was going. During debates with Obama, there were certainly no restrictions on critical analysis on his own policies and rightly so. Those official situations are public forums in which people have a right to question. But as I said before, McCain's campaign would have been justified in censoring his own youtube channel just as Obama's campaign did.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
But McCain is a lot more principled than Obama. He has more respect for the freedoms of those who disagree with him than Obama ever had. Which is why it is sad that Obama won.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
Are you serious? o_O Did you even watch the presidential debates? Or even seen McCain's own Campaign? McCain made some of the worst attacks on Obama's stances on issues during both the campaigns and during the debates. Certainly you must be living on another planet entirely where the McCain stance was to accept and invite in other ideas and Obama's wasn't. You're making up these allegations about Obama out of thin air, as if you know them both personally. Seriously stop before you hurt yourself.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
So McCain did negative ads.
What does that have to do with CENSORSHIP?
And my "allegations" are based upon my posting a respectful comment critical of Obama on one of his videos and having it be blocked and denied, and hearing the same thing happen to a lot of other conservative commenters. I make up nothing. I do not lie about politics.
dodgerdodgerbubodger 3 years ago
on what the media in America tell you so is happening is telling.
Arguing about Parity to the likes of you is wasting gas.
robinaali 3 years ago
Me yelling and panting on Obama's behalf? Well sure, if you think that you can go around bashing him and standing up for Palin on grounds that don't exist (like saying how every attack on her is sexist and saying none on Obama are racist). There is a middle ground, both sides have done their share of damage. What I take issue with in your initial comment (which was saying that any attack on Obama is in our minds racist but not sexist when it's used against Palin) is too radical. Few of us think
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
she's unfit because she's a woman. :/ Right.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
Here's the deal. I realize you have a vested interest in our politics, and you have a connection both with Palin and Obama. And it seems that what your stance is is the fact that we shouldn't bash Palin for being a woman if we're going to complain that people bash Obama because he's a Muslim. I totally back that. But then you say crap about how your fellow Muslims never suffered, how I'm supposedly saying we should rape or stone Palin as a woman...lady that's crossing the line alright? :/
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
And I keep saying this but he isn't a Muslim anyway. You have to realize that the GOP didn't say he was a Muslim and had ties to terrorists for no reason, despite apparent evidence to the contrary. (Him being a devout Christian etc) It was to try to use the supposed irrational fear and hatred in America against Muslims as of late. But what is astounding and amazing is that it didn't work. That speaks loads about us and how we can change. Unless you really agree with the U.S. foreign policy and
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
our direction in the world under Bush's regime. Also I think it's sad that
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
the controversy over Palin overshadowed the real debate, which should have been Obama and Bush instead of Obama versus Palin (Which if you'll be honest is how it turned out to be). But McCain's campaign chose Sarah Palin themselves, which speaks loads about them as well. The more we know about how Sarah Palin can't do the job the more we realize that the McCain campaign didn't do their homework. And I'm not really going to back a President backed by a team that just wings it. It is rather
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
rather apparent that if we elected McCain, the whole problem with lack of checking up on the facts, the deceit etc would continue.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
and a Muslim but you attack the positions of both.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
Asking for 'Parity' does not mean the 'said' person is kicking for the opposite side.
It is not true your assertion 'If your not with OBAMA your against him' (Wonder where I've heard that before)
If Biden where to be held accountable in the same way as Palin that would be 'Parity'.
You also state that You were a Republican before but you hate Bush, the GOP and C&P. LOL really!
Refrain please from using the 'Muslim' experience to score political points.
robinaali 3 years ago
The difference between Palin and Biden faults are that Biden actually said "Yes, I was wrong" and also, Obama said that he chose Biden specifically because he didn't want someone at his right hand that simply agreed with everything he said. In this way, despite Biden's conflicting decisions with Obama, it is obvious that Obama both recognizes the conflict of ideas and welcomes that conflict. McCain however didn't seem to realize that Palin came up into politics through earmarks, and didn't
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
realize that she was so blatantly ignorant until near the end, and by the time the campaign realized this, it simply led to political infighting and condemnation, and ultimately people "picking sides" between McCain and Palin. Seeing that fact and the differences between the two campaigns and the two reactions by the candidates shows yet another reason why people backed Obama and why I supported his campaign.
In terms of Bush and me having some conservative ideas, yes, what I said is true. You

Actually one more thing for you to keep in mind.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
Calm down man, what are you going on about? Your all over the place! Thats the problem right there. You see attacks when there is none. Gosh just look at the amount of messages you've sent. All of them baseless because you are really attacking someone who you have no idea about apart from the fact that I have stated that Palin is on the butt end of some serious sexism like Clinton(Even though you believe the horrid comments have some validiity
robinaali 3 years ago
First, the only reason I'm "all over the place" is because you brought up a bunch of points yourself that I have to address.
I did not make the assertion that if you're not with Obama, you're against him. However, your views and assertions so far are literally attacking him, and attacking me as an "Obama supporter," not actually going on facts.
Continuing on, Biden's disagreements with Obama were made clear and Obama actually recognized the faults, and incorporated that into his image.

If it was Michelle we would be up in arms.
robinaali 3 years ago
In response to you, Robin, if someone says that a legitimate question about Obama is racist, then they're wrong. I supported Obama and I can definitely say that. Not all questions about him are racist, but I can say that some things about his religion and well, his -race-, WERE in fact racist. I can say the same about Palin. There are some questions that I will admit and agree are sexist. However, questions like...not knowing South Africa is a country? That has NOTHING to do with her gender. :/
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
In terms of the first statement you debate, which is probably some joke you heard somewhere, that is a pretty inappropriate joke and whichever side of the aisle you're from, in the context of an intellectual debate that's definitely out of line. However, the idea behind it is this: Palin tends to well, say a bunch of stupid things and actually comes across as (and McCain campaign aides back this) ignorant and doesn't know the first thing about the U.S.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Secondly, the statement about raping her and make her buy her own rape kit is a strong statement and equally inappropriate in an intellectual debate. But this is what people's gut reaction is in response to this issue: That Palin made women pay for their own rape kits in her hometown, in an effort to reduce the numbers of reported rape crimes. Wait what? Well of course people are going to report it less if they even have to pay for their own rape kits. It doesn't mean rape didn't happen. :?
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
So you can dodge those issues and try to belittle people who bring them up but the fact remains. While those words you quoted are inappropriate, people do probably say those things in private, and it all points to two key issues about Palin that show that she was inept and a bad choice. I'm not saying it's all on her. As Cenk said, the people that chose her as VP are to blame as well for making a mockery of the party my family has supported until recently. Bush is to blame too.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
As for you condoning the nasty filth that has been thrown at Palin proves to me that you have no moral fibre whatsoever. That party loyalty trumps any respect you should afford fellow women. Retard Children, Beating and raping Palin, Referring Palin in pornographic terms and the assassination of her character shows that were women are concerned we don't care how low we get. If inexperience is what you detest then you should have voted McCain. This is where your lie is evident.
robinaali 3 years ago
I'm sorry, but you don't seem to have read even a shred of any of what I said. I do NOT condone any of the "filth" as you put it, which I already said was "inappropriate" in an intellectual debate. However, you are absolutely ignoring the problems about her that lie behind the so-called filth. I think it's apparent that you also embody the lying and over-exaggeration that Palin and McCain had, with a lack of intelligent ideas or analysis of the truth. And so I find it pointless to argue anymore.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Nothing lies underneath the filth but more filth.
You are not the torch bearer of the truth.
Keep it for misogynistic people like yourself Bye.
robinaali 3 years ago

Women hate women.
robinaali 3 years ago
That second sentence in the reply was confusing. First of all, how does this feminist thing have anything to do with the topics I presented? I never denied that there were some sexist issues, I already said there were. But not ALL of them are sexist. I don't care to be frank if you're a Muslim or not, that has nothing to do with it, but if you want to say that, then yes - I believe that it is wrong to hate a candidate based on their religion. It makes little sense, and I think you'll agree.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
There were questions brought up about Obama saying he's a Muslim, and people saying that's a bad thing. As a Muslim yourself, you should understand how it is to be faced with this situation in our country after 9/11. What's wrong with freedom of religion in this country? And that's why I think that the people that say how Palin is a Christian is bad are also wrong. Reverse discrimination is the same as discrimination. What I DO think however, is that her lack of knowledge on matters, and her
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
Don't tell me what I should be feeling or believing as a Muslim. What happens to liberals which I feel is a complete betrayal is that they align themselves with the very people who are against everything they say they stand for i.e. My fellow Muslims who want to execute gays etc. When you do that it is a betrayal of Liberal Muslims. This misplaced pandering is wrong and akin to racism.
You can vote for Obama (the right person) but ensure parity and fairplay.
Dont stone fellow women!
robinaali 3 years ago
I never said you should feel or believe something. I only said that you probably have felt the effects of the extreme negativity against Muslims after the terrorist attacks. This is not speculation, it is 100 percent true that Americans hated Muslims for a long time after the attacks and judged people on their looks and religion. In terms of putting me in a group with "the liberals" and saying they this they that, I think it's amusing because until recently, my family has voted republican.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
I'm not meaning to put you on the spot here, really. So sorry if this is not what you want to hear or are used to hearing.
You said you don't want me to generalise but you have just generalised yourself speaking on behalf of all Americans. Not all Americans are racist. To be completely honest I felt no negativity whatsoever, however, I know for a fact many of my fellow muslims used this opportunity to vent their racism. The day after 9/11 on the BBC their were people chanting 'Hurray'
robinaali 3 years ago

Some of the most stupidist idiots I know have PHDs.
robinaali 3 years ago
Here's the thing. Running the government isn't anything like raising children. That you're actually using the fact that she's got skills because she's a woman capable of bringing up children is the -real- sexist part of this whole thing. Our nation does in fact require knowledge of the economy, which Obama knows. It isn't enough that he has a PhD I agree. However, he demonstrates knowledge and has the backing of top economists in the U.S., McCain had no backing. Even if economists can't be
KalecLostsol 3 years ago

KalecLostsol 3 years ago
So don't tell me I'm supposedly pandering to victimhood and betraying my own kind by saying what I say when you commit the worst hypocrisies of all. This is my last response, you can have the last word if you want, honestly the more you say the more you shoot yourself in the foot. But if you must try, go for it. How you got to this channel I'll never know, but I really don't see how your argument at all changes the fact that there are legitimate concerns about Palin if she runs in 2012 as well.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
just because I don't subscribe to either side doesn't mean I can't support your right to believe those things.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
You should go look up videos of that particular interview with Biden and Obama when the question was brought up about what Obama thought about Palin as a VP pick for the GOP. Obama's method of campaigning was far more towards "fair play" than McCain's, which was to bash Obama even during presidential debates and spam negative ads that made it seem like Obama aligned himself with Terrorists. You said before that you "would have" supported Obama, which means that you didn't support him.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2
Now you turn around and say how you seem to be behind Obama the entire time to try to flip it on me? No, you can't do that and get away with it. Be consistent. I certainly already stated that I support Obama -because- of his knowledge and sense of fairplay versus the GOP.
And I think that the "Don't stone fellow women" comment at the very end still has nothing to do with the debate I'm having with you. I am not attacking anyone I feel that belongs in whatever group you think I belong to.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 3
extreme negativity, her lies and over-exaggeration about negative points on Obama and a lack of useful -ideas- about how to fix things despite her claims that Obama's ideas are wrong make her a bad VP pick. The fact that McCain did much of the same negativity and ran so many negative campaign ads also points to the way their campaign was going and how they would act if we chose them as the winners in the election. That is why I supported Obama, because he HAS ideas and has a positive message.
KalecLostsol 3 years ago 2

America has tried to shed its racist image but it is definitely sexist.
robinaali 3 years ago

But if you are to denounce supposed liberals saying it's all racist when people bring up concerns about Obama, you can't then turn around and
KalecLostsol 3 years ago
use the notion that everything against Palin is sexist. Anybody that says everything on Obama is racist is wrong. Anybody that says everything about Palin is sexist is wrong. But there ARE legitimate concerns as well as illegitimate concerns about both. Be consistent in your beliefs.
