  • how can we expect them to stand by the law in which they claim defense around, yet they trample over it and ignore the icc...they have NO respect for the law, yet they as the leaders should have the most respect for it.!!We hold them to a much higher degree of responsible than normal kenyans thus they should not be involved(negatively) in such scandals.

  • There is no two ways about it. Impunity is Impunity.

  • I wholly disagree with Mutula on this one,the same Law clearly states they are innocent because they have not been proven guilty end of.

  • @Mweusi1 The chares were confirmed against them, as a leader you actually have to "avoid " trouble....not stand by and let yourself be implicated. You cannot disgrace the office!!!.That means nothing in kenya it seems. Why are they acting like normal wananchi??Why should we continue to call them "Honourable" yet they do not behave that way.

  • Indeed!

  • we need brave kenyans with clear minds like Kilonzo. People who can call a spade a spade..

If the cases against Ruto and his new found companion Mr. uhuru are confirmed then it will be criminal for the 2 to think that they will run for state house. We will of course not just sit and watch the 2 ignoring the ICC ruling. Kenya belongs to all kenyans but not to the 2

  • Integrity and politician doesn't go hand-in-hand. They all are crooks.

  • Here here Mr. Kilonzo it is indeed impunity at it's highest. There is a certain expectation of integrity required when seeking public office. Ruto and Uhuru do not fit the bill and no amount of premature chest-thumping will convince Kenyans otherwise. Those castigating Kilonzo have little regard for the law.

  • Sorry Mutula, Judas will never be president.

  • Is this not the same Mutula Kilonzo who made his vast wealth during the rotten and corrupt moi era?

  • Comment removed

  • At least somebody has said the truth, bitter as it may tastes to some. Kudos Mutula

  • shut the hell Mr. Mutula...the ICC stated earlier that the accused will b free to vie for any position..moreover, Mutula is not the legal adviser for the govt...and again we know ur his motives...hakuna kupitia katikati..RUTO n UHURU should stay put...Kibaki n Raila to lead the way to the haque..these other fellows were just sacrificed for their sake!..

  • this idiot wants kalonzo to pitia katikati yao.

  • Uhuru and Ruto must run, not just because they want to but because its a matter of survival for them. That way, they can go the Bashir way and just refuse to comply with the court's order. What's more, no one in Kenya is going to arrest their own president so these two will fight tooth and nail to take that top seat. Woe on us though when it comes time for them to step down, because they'll just plain not do it.

  • The best option for Kenya is Kalonzo or Martha Karua.Peter Kenneh as well,if you think otherwise you are either in denial or retarded.Good job Mutula, one of the few honest men left in Kenya.

  • @mzalendo24 warr bout RAIRA???????????????????

  • THE ARROGANCE OF THIS UHURU BASTARD IS THROUGH THE ROOF. He continues the legacy of murder, intimidation, tribalism---you name it, that his father Jomo Kenyatta started. This DRUNKEN psycho won't go quietly, as will the crazed Kalenjin Ruto. KENYA NEEDS TO REJECT THESE MURDERERS AND THIEVES!!!!

  • If Uhuru, and Ruto were in USA, they would not vie for the top seat ,just for being implicated ,period ! And here they are saying that even if committed to Murder trial ,they will still run for the top seat. I think the integrity of person running for the top seat needs to be impeccable ! This set of laws need to be added to the Constitution so as to prevent criminals from presenting themselves to Kenyans to elect them for the top seat, then ruin the country, just like in USA !

  • I thought this mutula guy was minister of justice! when did he become minister of speculative justice!

  • Yesterday,it was "consultation",today,it is "impunity".Kenyans never cease to amaze me.

  • Did anyone of you think that these two warlords with women and children blood on their hands will go down quietly?

  • @phatriott, Good question!!

  • Mutula it is too early to start making fortune out of misfortune, you want these guys to give way to your fellow Kamba?Wrong move.

  • Mutula Kilonzo is misunderstanding the purpose of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. He is not Attorney General, not Director of Public Prosecutions, Police Commissioner, neither Minister for Defense nor the Chief Justice. Mutula is the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs of all Kenyans, the accused and the unaccused, thieves and the-stolen-from, haves and have nots, prisoners and free citizens. Ruto and Uhuru are Kenyans with human rights which Mutula must protect.

  • @Savai333 Mutula did not give up his citizenship when he became minister of Justice and as such still reserves the freedoms and rights of a citizen incluing the freedom of speech. So just calm down for only the guilty are afraid.

  • so all those MPs with pending cases in Kenyan courts should not vie? Wiper my ass!!

  • Mutula you are not genuine, you hope uhuru and ruto to be prosecuted so that your man kalonzo can take central and rift valley votes but that is a dream. kalonzo asahau uongozi.

  • Mutula is right on the money ..impunity is long gone mtoto ya Jomo some bad things you learned from dad

  • now who do this two people think they are????? we have a new set of laws so kama i.c.c inawameza iwameze mos mos........

  • this minister is just stupid, does he really believe Ruto and UK were involved in the mastermind... bla..bla... never mind... shit!

  • Mutula is in the right direction.

  • siasa mbovu, kilonzo wait for the icc ruling!!!!

  • It is an act of impunity to state that you will do things regardless for none is flawless. These are the kind of proclamations which nearly drove our morals down and under. These guys should learn that we cannot revert to the old mindsets of yesteryears when they could bungle almost everything and gain praises instead of caution. If the court proves them innocent, then they can campaign with dignity void of usual aura of chest thumping and arrogance.

  • Mutula is right and so are the two too. you can't hold your ambitions based on an unknown outcome at the same time they should take full responsibity depending on the outcome, so both parties are right.

  • Poor Kenyans, you always betray your people, and nailing them. When will come protecting your country? And you speak English for foreign countries to know how foolish we are. Shame on you.
