Thanks for this post! Really like Ruth's voice. I saw her and the band on a show a few years back--maybe Mountain Stage or Soundstage and was very impressed.
Thanks very much for this post Banjo. Not many of Ruth and The Mammals on YT. Saw them on, I think, a Soundstage show a couple years back and was real impressed, but they are hard to find. Love her voice.
I am so psyched that this video is on youtube! The concert was epic, and this is only a taste of what was captured. My gratitude goes out to all of the awesome people in the volunteer crew and the audience that night! And thanks to Max for the magical mix and Peter and Mike for the sweet edit. Lots of Mammal love to all. -R

Is she Jay's daughter?
CollinPlaysBass 3 years ago
Yes, Ruth is Jay's daughter. She has recorded with Jay & Molly ("Swingology").
Like Jay, one fine fiddler, too.
Nowadays, Ruth appears with "Jay Ungar and Family", like upcoming on 6/20 at Clearwater Festival in Croton NY.

Sweet stuff from a truly great band. Let's hope that The Mammals come out of hibernation soon. Trad is (still) Rad!
