No problem with Jet skies they stay around center beach, this swim is located at the very North end of Kata beach, the best time for this swim is sunrise, jet ski's start there business around 1000 am.
No problem on the marine life, wearing some body protection is your best bet, I wear 1/4 rubber when I do these long swims.
