Mo it doesn't. The only thing the game settings of the technician say is that his weapon is the pistol.

If you research on and find the pistol weapon data, you'll see it does '1' damage. Not '0'.

Unfortunately, that damaged is reduced to 0 by the Flame Tank's armour :p

Once I tested that technicans with yellow shirts are more resilent then pink shirts. If you put 5 technicans on one spot and order gdi watch tower to shoot the one in the center yellow ones at the sides survive with just a fraction of health whare pink ones on same spot would die.

I had a construction yard on the map. I made tons of silos, and then sold them all. Then sold the CY and suicided the remaining soldiers in the newrby tiberium field (so the tank wouldn't go after them once the technician attack started)

I could've just put civilians on the map, but I didn't know if HeX would mouse over them to show the name or not. If he had, it would've shown "Civilian", and not "Technician". so, I went with the silo selling method.

on renegade it has about 300 HP.

The tank has 300 HP, but in this it really doesn't matter. The technician's gun does 1 damage, but the flame tank's armour reduces it to less than 50%, meaning it gets rounded down to zero. They literally can't damage the tank at all.

I once modded the armour to actually make it do 1 damage, and the flame tank died in seconds.

No, it didn't. The fact the bar looks like there's a little off is simply due to the resizing of the video. The tank is in fact 100% undamaged at the end. I made the save game this video is made from, so I know. I tested it several times.
