odd, I always thought that the UK PAL game was called "Star-fox" & the U.S & JAP etc it was called "Star-Wing"? but it seems to be random as my PAL version is "Star-wing" but I`m sure my original copy back in the day was called "Star-Fox".. Any one know what the facts are? thanks

@paulspydar it was called starwing in europe to avoid legal issues, as there were 2 other games with the same name (neither were copyrighted in usa)

@TheNinwii I know!!! I waited for this when the GBA came out but that was 9 years ago. the problem is that they have not been able to reproduce the awesome power of the Super FX microchip that came with the SNES cartridge to produce full polygon graphics.

Incorrect. The Super FX chip was a coprocessor which was faster than the SNES CPU. It has no trouble being replicated. You can run this game emulated on a pc fine. Every single Nintendo system since then could run this game just fine. The reason they won't release this on the VC is likely because Star Fox 64 is already on it. Which is a shame, because I would love to see it there.

Star Fox 64 was a REMAKE of the original Star Fox. The hidden boss in it was a homage to this one.

Here's a tip: Never waste ur Nova bombs, save them for the boss, and when u get to the Asteroid Field, shoot the golden asteroids in the middle of the others 5 times, then when u shoot them all u see a laughing asteroid that comes ur way, shoot at it then u get sucked in a black hole that gives u a passege way to Venom
