Witnessing how the poor live

Great video...beautiful people! I thought, however, from the title that it would be poor people in the U.S. For example, I have heard about the colonias on the Texas border with Mexico that have open sewers, poor in Appalachia, poor in Mississippi... There are starving folks in the US? We expect Africa to be poor....just go to a nighttime view of the earth and look at the African continent. Very few developed areas.
