@menzoznem I personally would, I own a B.C. Rich WMD Warbeast, aslong as you don't cheap out, and get a GOOD, HIGHER END, B.C. Rich, don't waste your time with the models that cost less than 800 dollars from then, they tend to suck, and i don't care WHAT other people say, its true, its like when buying a jackson, don't cheap out, go for the USA grade, same with B.C. Rich, go for a higher end or don't buy one at all.

if you can make a BC rich do that your fuckin awesome man. BC rich isnt my fav. guitar cause its made outta basswood. which isnt very good for tone. they usually have good pickups though, i think schecter is an all around great guitar.. but you could fuckin destroy with a squire! lmao

lol thanks dude!! I'm not to crazy about this axe either. It was good for the time but the bottom horn really gets in my way when I'm shredding in the higher register. I'm into Jackson and Charvel guitars.

@BensKid Only the cheapest of B.C. Rich guitars are made with basswood. Most of the ones in the $500+ range are made with either alder or more commonly nato (mahogany). You're right that the basswood ones are inferior as far as tone goes, but that's only the beginner guitars. Don't right off B.C. Rich altogether just because the cheapy models are crap.

Check out Charvel and Jackson guitars. They're by far my favorite. Look for one with an original floyd rose or a set bridge. Don't settle for a licensed floyd cuz they don't stay in tune. Charvel has a production line with some killer axes out for cheap so check it out. For the Jackson axes you would want a USA select series guitar but there expensive.

i have this guitar and i just dont like it that much. the pinch harmonics just dont happen but i can get them perfectly on my ibanez and i can never get good tone off the G, its way to easy to bend it out of tune and i can never get a good tone off it for stuff like killswitch engage

i got this guitar and the playability and everything is really good but i was dashed with pickups. to me they seem dull and have no brightness when in standered tuning, also the g never has enough tension in it. im thinkin of getin a schecter blackjack atx seven string and i think you should check seven string out first if you want to do b tuning and lower

@ChasingKomodo Hi, you have posted this year ago but nevermind. I think those pups are pretty bright. I would prefer the much more deep and round sound with the neck pup (like D Activator neck version from DiMarzio). Still, it has great tone and amp can do wonders.

B standard with 10-60 gauge stings. It stays in that tunning for my death metal band Creep Colony, and it holds it tunning perfectly. You can't go wrong with the original Floyd Rose.

Hello mate. I would like to ask you how are the treble strings? Is not 10 too thin? I use 10 in E standard and I have tried on my other guitad go to D standard with 12-52 when 12 are still ok, 52 is so so. Thanks :)

I use 10 to 60 custom Zakk Wylde stings made by dunlop and I play in B standard. I'm sure that 10-52 would be fine for E standard.

Dude a BC Rich Warbeast and a Gibson Les Paul are 2 totally different kinds of guitars. You hardly ever see someone playing brutal heavy stuff on a Les Paul detuned to drop A or something. And I don't see many people playing Led Zeppelin on Warbeasts either.

this is the WMD, so yes it's the same! It's a great guitar with neck-threw body construction with 24 frets, original floyd, and hot passive pickups. A few suggestions if you get it: The factory strings suck balls so replace them before you even play it. Get a pro set up. This guitar especially shines with heavy gauge strings in a low tunning. I use 10-60 strings and play in B standard.

The only complaint I have so far it that my left hand hits the bottom horn under the neck when I'm doing wide stretches on the high frets. This is forcing me to adjust my technique a bit. But aside from that, this is a great axe for a really good price. B.C. rich has been upping the quality lately. Also check out the Warbeast deluxe since it has EMGs and mother of pearl bounding, for only 100 more
