This was right around her 16th birthday. Back when she went to the Olympics in 1992 you had to be turrning 15 in the calendar year. She was 15 at the Olympics in 92, 16 in 1993...

Catalina Ponor in the 2004 Olympics is one off the top of my head. There has actually been quite a few gymnasts that competed the full twisting double back off of beam.

Im confused as to what Ponor was really trying to do. She twists in tucked position the in the 2nd salto she was piked. Anyone care to explain?

Ponor's was more like a full twisting double pike kiss the ground. Shannon's on the other hand... beautiful!
