in a 2v2 some dick droped 2 command centres in my base and upgraded them to planetary fortress i was attacking them as they were morphing but i only killed one and he killed everything with the other then attacked my base that was hovering with marines

Wow its THAT easy to kite? Just move away S, move away, S, Move away...that tip will increase my gameplay by over 9000. Ive always been control grouping my marauders and trying to kite manually. It is so freaking difficult, i wish i learned this sooner. Anyone know of any other tips to do things faster?

I have a strong feeling ash was too busy wrecking the other guy's base and couldnt manage his own. That's an important thing to practice. you have to be able to manage your base AND your units while fighting. Simple practice is the best way, but if your not already, using hot keys and Queues is VERY useful with a little practice. When first learning to use them, they slow you down, however once mastered they allow you to reach your full potential

@zagarna Force's videos don't stress basic mechanics. They stress build orders and strategies. That is why he wants to get back to this sort of game.

However, IMO, the best remedy to these problems is to lose to them (or fall victim to them). There's just so much you can learn from a video.

protoss: cannon rush against anyone is devastating, if they are good at it, you wont't know if the probe is there, and you won't see the forge till its too late

@docvoc1 Rule number 1 against early cheese: Don't be afraid to fight with your workers. Use them as meatshields for your attack units and for firepower when you have none. The cheese will still put your opponent behind if you lose some. Unless I'm mistaken, four workers will damage a Pylon faster than it builds, so you can deny cannon-rushes (or, if he cancels/builds new ones, crucially delay it) if you see the Pylon coming.

@docvoc1 cannon rushes are no problem if you pay some attention to your base.

same with six poool.

if your terran opponent is super turtling he's making battle cruisers, so expand and make tons of production buildings and it will be super easy.

@docvoc1 Scout your base and as a terran if you see this drop a bunker get some marauders and ur fine or get siege tanks if you already have a factory. Sieged tanks own cannon rushes. It will be harder if he gateways in your base that takes allot of micro to kill

@docvoc1 the probe will have to pass the ramp to your base, so make sure you always have vision of the ramp. as soon as a probe enters your base, make sure you pay attention where it goes!

if you want, you can just assign a worker to attack the probe and it will stay on it.
