@leeroybrowns The FI8904W has a 67 degree viewing angle and the FI8905W has a 42 degree viewing angle. The 905 has more IR LEDs and has night visibility up to 30 metres where the 904 only 20. So it depends on your application.

I am dissatisfied with this product. My Foscam was missing some motion detections but getting others, whilst creating upto 20 ghost images a day staring at my concreted driveway. Unfortunately i was burgled the other day and it only got the intruders back as he left. Picked up the door to door magazine lady perfectly fine that morning. Pay peanuts you get monkeys.

@dutto75man actually we think the burgular is our nextdoor neighbour. In which case the camera wasent at fault and he jumped over our side fence. A possibility

I have this camera and it just washes out to white in bright daylight. Anybody have experience with this issue or a fix ?

@mkearley49 To fix the camera washing out to white in daylight, just change the 'Mode' to "Outdoor".

what lens are you using with the 05w? The 05W has been rated to 30 metres night vision capability. your demonstratin focuses on an area that seems further than 30 metres. Does the lens help increase that distance?

hi guys

i need some help, when i installed my foscam ip camera, i was able to forward the port and make it work but the problem is it only works on port 8080 if i use any other port it will not work at all, i.e if i try to connect it from other location it will just not load the page, i am using windows xp. i was able to connect to ip camera form another location when i was using port 8080 but as soon as i change it to another port it will not work, please help

@shadownk Its to do with the IR lens. They mention it on their product disclosure that the trees might turn out with a different pigment., lol
