  • very informative

  • Thank you so much for this teaching. I'm praying and hoping our Catholic Church becomes full of icons. We so need what you are offering. And also that the teaching remain pure and true to all you hold dear. The more educated we become about this form of evangelization the less chance of "fake" iconographers getting a hold on our Church. May God bless your work and please keep going and please welcome us (Catholics) to this wonderfull way. - Blessings - Rene

  • Very beautiful and informative! Great Job!

I'm Catholic and enjoy Orthodox iconography very much. Thanks for explaining some of the symbols. Iconography is deceivingly simple. In reality it contains much theological richness.

  • Exodus 20:217 from the 10 commandments "4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

  • Do not confuse Icons or images with idols (false gods). God himself was the first Iconographer when he made man in his image(Icon in Greek).
