His name is Gemineye. I don't know where you can find a list with all of his work. But i do know where you can find out in which Def Poetry shows he performed. Go to Wikipedia and type "Def Poetry" in the search box. You will get a long list of all the Def Poetry Jam episodes, with the names of all performers. Gemineye appeared three times. Plus, Gemineye has a Facebook page with a lot of information. Just Google his name and click on the first link.

J: My guess is God's a bit more forgiving than you suggest. Neither of us know but this piece of work is a beautiful expression of peotry's purpose put to a medium (spoken word) by a gifted artist. His style and use of metaphor is not (in my opinion) offensive or inglorious to God's purpose. We are, however, all entitled to our opinion.

I didn't 'suggest' anything about God's forgiveness. Forgiveness has nothing to do with anything that me or gemini was talking about.

I felt that the god in his poem was allowing another party to obtain glory which is not biblical.

It's easy to get props when you scream "black power" and add "God" to it but that doesn't tickle my ear. I just go back to what the Bible says.

It's a pretty self explanatory poem. He's saying his poetical skills were God given and how other poets of the past have inspired him. As well as saying some other lines that are indeed the truth, ignorance should be a crime.

Not every poem has to be insanely deep, he's just telling a story and telling it extremely well.

I guess my point was presentation over substance. Transcribe his verses and read them to yourself, therefore negating the audience reaction and presentation. Judge it by its substance and tell me its "Mind Blowing" . The presentation is great for the newly introduced, his energy inspires them to find out who it was he was referencing, but the piece in itself was speak and spell. But hey, what do I know.
