  • '' IM NOT THE HUNTED, IM THE HUNTER'' ( ClassiC line)

  • Kwiwi... Yeah, WCW Killed itself.

  • This is good ppv. I enjoyed this.

  • this promo by DDP is GOLD.

  • The first and last WCW Greed PPV...What we all thought was a bad WCW at the time looks like the WWE does today.

  • I'll never forgive Vince for not giving Kwee Wee a push during the invasion angle

  • One of the worst ppvs of all time yet the last WCW ppv. Wow

  • Were there any refrences towards this being the last PPV?

  • @Halloffamer333

Well, WCW obviously knew this was the last ppv for them... and it was not even their fault. WCW would still be around today if it was not for AOL merging with Ted Turner. Once this happened, Ted Turner no longer made the decisions and AOL did "believe" in having wrestling on TNT or TBS, so they cut WCW's funds and canceled WCW, forced them to be sold to WWF for some cheap ass price. AOL also canceled Animaniacs cartoon, which I also liked.

  • That crowd is TINY.

  • @Swazi4

This PPV was held at the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum, where WCW has had a history of doing many wrestling shows at. They did their Wrestlewars 1992 PPV in this arena also, and drew around 6000 for attendance. Most of WCW's events in this venue drew around 6000. The last WCW PPV, Greed, still drew a solid 5000 crowd, with a PPV buyrate around 40,000, which ain't good but it still ain't bad. This was mostly AOL's fault once they merged with Warner, screwed WCW.

  • Hard to believe today marks a decade since wcw's final ppv.

  • sigh. wcw really turned a corner in 2001 but it was too late

  • From Flair vs. Steamboat... To DDP vs. Steiner, WOW WCW SUXED

  • omg he look like that old guy from the tekken games hioshi i think 1:41 lol

  • omg he looks like that old feller from the tekken games hioshi i think lol

  • vince didn't bury wcw, wcw buried its fuckin self...through greed

  • i wish it was still around... i know things were bad in 2001, but i wished someone picked it up... TimeWarner/AOL not wanting it was WCW's demise in the end

  • @AdrianHoliday it would have still survived if not for jamie kellner,.. he is the one who truly killed WCW.. he did not care that wrestling had their high and lows periods and since wcw was in a low,.. he just cancelled it..

  • "We have a bonus match for the fans, Kwee Wee wasn't originally scelduled to be on this card"

LOL! Like the fans cared about the transvestite Kwee Wee. Haha!!!

  • ITs been 9 years already.. god damn.

  • tna has treated DDP AND STEINER WITH RESPECT what wwe did to a HUGE maineventer ddp was a fucking joke and you wonder why sting wont go to wwe.

  • kwee wee. WTF was the wCw writing staff thinking of!!!???

  • wcw finally started to push young talent but by the time that happened it was too late and i think only that wcw died when it did was that the wwf attitude was peaking at the time maybe wcw might have survived longer if the attitude era wasnt there.

  • I remember watching Jason Jett in this match. He's a good wrestler! I wonder where he is now...

  • @JFMstudio E.......Z MONEY!!

  • is this the same event where Sid fucked his ankle up?

  • no, that was equally terribly named wcw sin

  • I was there. What's sad is how I think WCW even in 2001 was as good or better as the current shit on WWE.

  • i couldnt agree more

  • I agree, in 2001 WCW's product was top notch, pushing alot of good young wrestlers and having entertaining shows. It was just too bad that Hogan and company's damage was already done.

  • Well I loved the Magnificent Seven story line, I liked how WCW got some new concepts in 2001 as well, WCW dieing really makes me hate Hogan & Russo. WCW was pushing the right talent and I liked how Rick was getting a singles push as well same with Buff & Lugar.

  • funny i hate hogan in tna with bishoff i liked jeff jarrett and russoo running tna better. but man russo was a fuck shit in wcw. like eric bishoff is in tna lol

  • The First WCW GREED and The last WCW GREED

  • Thanks for posting this! I was a big WCW fan but didn't get to see the last PPV. I miss WCW but if it wasn't for WCW going under there probably wouldn't be TNA. And I love TNA!! :)

  • greed is an appropriate name for a wrestling ppv especially wcw

  • aahh wcw in its final years.. sad sad sad... i miss 95-98. i blame the old coffin dodgers who wouldn't put over the young guns.

  • JUST LIKE WWE NOW.

hbk/hhh/batista do the exact same thing.

if it carries on, people will be saying the same thing about WWE in 10 years when TNA is on top.....and so on

  • I was there, I don't recall the crowd being that popped or big. Sad to have been there for that peice of history. I miss WCW.

  • Yeah, sometime in 2000, whoever was in charge at some point cut the budge for production values. A LOT. But it was necessary, maybe if they'd done i gradually it wouldn't be so noticeable. Really, the decline of WCW from #1 took something took like 2 years. Seems like longer.

  • that person in charge was either brad seigel or jamie kellner

  • have anyone notice that WCW final ppvs had the same stage setting (Sin, NB Rising and Greed)?

  • ya and even thunder and nitro!!!

  • yep

  • "billionaire ted's" product would've been better if wwe lost the monday night war.

  • wcw greed was sad i did not want it to end when i saw sting vs ric lair

  • hey randy orton how much did he sue you for?

  • And you have no clue what you are talking about. I guess you where still watching Teletubbies when WCW was in his prime (1996 - 1999). WCW was far better at that time and had an large and very talented pool of wrestlers thanks to the "Turner Millions".

  • WCW > WWE

You don't know what good wrestling is....probably a piece of shit Cena fan like the ones that have ruined wrestling.

  • Simple....because WCW couldn't go TV 14and push it like the WWF. You realize McMahon copied everything from Bischoff, right? DX was a ripoff of the nWo and McMahon vs. Austin started after Bischoff inserted himself into the show.

Wrestling would be better today if WCW had won. WCW was a TV PG show that appealed to all fans. WWE is just trash and boring on top of it.

  • Wrestling would be better today if WWE actually had LEGIT competition. TNA and ROH are not legit competition...yet...

  • hogan is taking over tna- and spike tv said if ratings go up which they will they gettting monday night slot to compete with wwe raw

  • Lets support TNA guys.

  • True say

  • WCW lost because of the TNT AOL merge. The suits didn't want wrestling on their channel. Vince didn't shit.

  • exactly and if ted turner had his way wed still have it on today if he didnt merge.

  • now really he ain't do wcw as bad as ecw hell he brought eca back as a brand n look at wat he has done with dat just be lucky he doesn't plan on making a 4th brand

  • Damn im eatin Watermelon!!!

  • Isn't it ironic how the title name of WCW's last PPV summed up how the company faced its demise?

  • yep

  • Damn, that is true...

  • THAT IS TURE

  • @Segasmith

Sums it up right there, doesn't it.

"Ladies and gentle men, welcome to the very first (and last) WCW Greed Pay-per-view...!"

  • @Segasmith im sorry i dont get yer

  • is jason jett EZ money

  • yes it was ez money

  • the last three arent and never will be on dvd but the november ppv and starrcade are probably available on ebay

  • anyone know where i can get like the last 5 ppv's on vhs or dvd?

  • i'm never gonna forgive vince for burying WCW

  • Damn right. Anytime I see those few little clips of WCW-branded matches on Raw or Smackdown I just get mad that he f-ed WCW over so bad and what could have been.

  • @affinite1 I used to love WCW more than any of you people...Now i'm glad it's deadbased on so many good reasons. But now I hate American Wrestling ever since the PG era began in WWE. And TNA sucks (Post WCW bullshit). Japanese wrestling and lucha libre is the way to go.

  • @JacopeX u hate PG era, most of WCW if not all of it was PG lol

  • @affinite1 He didn't bury it. He bought it and for once for the fans tried to keep it running but no tv companies wanted to show it. WCW ment losing money at that point.

  • @affinite1 well it was good in the early 90s then it when shit in say 2000

  • @affinite1 LOL U MAD?

  • @affinite1 Vince should have let someone else buy it! It was only going for £5 million! It made a profit straight after!

  • @affinite1 WCW buried itself. It wasn't Vince McMahon's fault he ran his company better. The WWF didn't kill WCW, WCW killed itself.

  • @ajmurtagh27 I think by "Bury" affinite means the booking of the invasion angle. If not, then that type of burying is more true than simply winning the Monday Night War.

    The invasion was horribly booked.

  • @affinite1 wait, which one? McMahon, or Russo?

  • The memories
