The pain of separation contingent on a burning desire of union in some distant future as penned by Faiz and Qazi Nazrul Islam is beautifully captured by Ustad Moin Khan and Shoruj Bhattacharya in this haunting rendition. The Urdu and Bangali combination as envisioned by Muzaffar Ali in this song hightens the impact of Faiz Sahib's "Dard/Betha" at the estrangement that followed the tragic circumstances. Thanks for sharing this masterpiece.
The singer has slightly changed a word from the first verse. The original one written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz is "Hum ke thehre ajnabi itni madaraaton ke baad".
First verse has the word "Madaraaton" instead of "Mulaqaaton".
You can check the book by Faiz, or the famous version sung by Nayyara Noor.
