I think this kind of format (no-budget, 5-6 minute episodes) works best for Wain's brand of humor. I love how absurd and cartoonish his comedy is, but in a straight-up sitcom with studio production values, it wouldn't work (no disrespect to "Stella" because that show makes me laugh as well). That said, this is a great series and I can't stop watching it. Keep it up.

Wain, you have outdone yourself with this series. The biggest problem I had with Stella and the Stella Shorts was the lack of direction and universal theme. Stella on comedy central did better with that ("the three guys" novel sums it up) But Wainy Days is even better. I love the "dating world" theme... Anyways I've been a huge fan since WHAS (I was too young when the state was out ;-)) so I'm bias. Go Wain!
