The song was by Alabama i believe it was called "The Fan"

Yeah, the original song was called "The Fans" and was the song they played during the tribute for Davey. Alabama re-wrote the lyrics to honor Richard at the concert they held for him at the Georgia Dome the night before this race.

Greatest NASCAR driver of all time. BTW that car is in the Petty Museum in Randleman. I would love to just see this car.
