I read something that really pissed me off. Pat White will never be in the College Football HOF because he was never an All-American. What can you say for yourself when you aren't able to nominate the quarterback with the most rushing yards of all-time? If I had it my way, he'd be in there right now.
Its great when a player like Pat comes through WVU. a player that gives the fans so much pride in their state and team. Wish we could find some more just like him. congrats to Major Harris. another great player who inspired the mountaineer nation

okay well mike vick wasnt renown for his arm. besides he didnt have great accuracy on long passes. you also got to remember he played in the spread his entire career and he still only threw over three hundred yards once in his 4 season career. besides he has way to small of a body type.
Michael vick was known for his throwing skills when it comes to heaving the ball....they weren't very accurate but i meant that he could throw far. Pat's accuracy is not all that bad.

The only thing keeping White from being a 1st day pick is his weight. He's lucky to be 195. At 6'2" that's not good. With vision, block reading ability, agility, speed, and a rare ability to produce a sudden burst of speed, he would be a fantastic RB in the NFL. Again, the only thing keeping him from being that is his weight. If he was around 210-215, there would be no problems at all.
Anyway, the reality is, he'll be drafted late and most likely molded into a #3 WR and a KR/PR specialist

pat white is definetly a phenom athlete but size and overall arm strength will seem to be the difference in his potential nfl career...look for the more antwan randel el, hines ward, joshua cribbs approach who all were qb's in college but made the switch to wide reciever or an execellent return man
Pat white is definitely faster, probably by .05 to .1 in the 40 yard dash. Not that that's the best indicator of football speed but he's definitely faster.
mike vick broke the typical pocket passer quarterback barrier. major harris could of been a really great quarterback. pat white will be a great nfl quarterback. and in the next few years, look for there to be A LOT more scrambling quarterbacks in the nfl
Unless WVU incorporates a lot more passing into the system (which there are talks of that), he won't go pro. Right now he's going to have to come off as a Mike Vick type qb, minus the dog-fighting, to be noticed by the pro's. If he goes pro, i suspect he'll be a DB or some time of WR/backfield, just not a QB. but whatever happens, he'll always be remembered as one of the best at WVU. LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!

why wouldn't the nfl want pat white as a QB? it's what the people want to see people these days like to see fast qb's who can throw and juke the shoes off of defenders...i think if the nfl is smart and they want money they'll take pat as a QB

he wouldnt make it in the nfl as a qb. many scrambling qb never make it cus the nfl is alot faster. thats y they dont use the option in the nfl. reactions in the pros is faster. His best bet is to practice catching and become a reciever. he has moves but he couldnt do it at the qb spot. and he is not a great passer. he is ok but its agianst college dbs. alot of drob coverage. in the nfl u rarely get drobbed coverage.

pat white is definetly a phenom athlete but size and overall arm strength will seem to be the difference in his potential nfl career...look for the more antwan randel el, hines ward, joshua cribbs approach who all were qb's in college but made the switch to wide reciever or an execellent return man

Pat white is definitely faster, probably by .05 to .1 in the 40 yard dash. Not that that's the best indicator of football speed but he's definitely faster.

mike vick broke the typical pocket passer quarterback barrier. major harris could of been a really great quarterback. pat white will be a great nfl quarterback. and in the next few years, look for there to be A LOT more scrambling quarterbacks in the nfl

Unless WVU incorporates a lot more passing into the system (which there are talks of that), he won't go pro. Right now he's going to have to come off as a Mike Vick type qb, minus the dog-fighting, to be noticed by the pro's. If he goes pro, i suspect he'll be a DB or some time of WR/backfield, just not a QB. but whatever happens, he'll always be remembered as one of the best at WVU. LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!

WVU only threw it about 33% of the time per game.

He's a nice athlete.
But he doesn't have to go through progressions or read defenses past a simple B-gap read.
Calling him the greatest college QB to ever play the game is laughable.
