  • the man in the video has fallen at the first hurdle, he believes the bible lol.

  • Sin is an abstract concept used by your clergy to demean you, dehumanize you, and keep you in control. It demands penance and punishment for imaginary transgressions against an imaginary being. Sin is the ugliest part of your religion.

  • i was just thinkin about this today haha it seems like everytime i am struggling with certain things or when God lays thing on my heart, you or David (pursuitblog) usually talk about something that applies to me haha how strange!

    great post =)

  • powerful Holy Spirit inspired video God bless you brother never stop following the Lord Jesus Christ keep up the good work for God's kingdom and glory Jesus Christ is Lord Amen

  • Your words still ring hollow to the ears of those who have not accepted the existence of sin at all. What is this intrinsic sticky magical invisible wrongness that you promote the "only" cure for? To me, the emperor has no clothes, and you are peddling the cure for something that isn't there.

  • @AgentOfDoubt lying, cheating, stealing, malicious thoughts, unforgiveness, hatefulness, pride, pompousness, greed, child molesting, torturing animals, stealing office supplies from work, fudging on your tax return, etc, etc, ad nauseum = sin. Sin exists, to deny it is to deny the obvious, and we are all guilty of it. To deny that is to lie which is to sin. However, Jesus paid it ALL. And we were made with the free will to choose whether or not we accept that because love forced is not love.

  • @ThinkAware It's my understanding that you've only described sinful acts, but you've avoided the invisibly magically stuck to you part. How do you know that the magical wrongness of these acts doesn't dissipate on it's own after time all by itself? How do you possibly perceive the unmeasurable weight lifted from your unsubstantiated soul by your unprovable deity?

  • @AgentOfDoubt Sin not invisibly and magically stuck to us. We all commit sin, therefore it is ours. There is nothing "magical" about it. While you may be convinced that there is no such thing as good and evil, the vast majority of people, most of whom are not Christians, do accept that there is a difference between good and evil. This is because we are made to recognize it, but immediately seek to throw the rug over it to avoid our own sin...therefore "self atoning" without admitting any wrong.

  • Respond to this video... Ultimatley, it boils down to pride.

  • You think that we are all sinners? Even the Priest? If you follow a sinner then you will be a sinner.

  • @qwertyfshag Jesus Christ is the head of the church. He is without sin, unlike Muhammad.

  • @qwertyfshag Then don't follow a priest, follow Jesus. Only Jesus is without sin.

  • that was epic man, great job

  • Sin is an odd thing to me, but then I am not a believer, I am not a christian, jew or muslim by faith.

To me Sin is a religious construct that has been made within said religion to keep the people in guilt. That is after looking at it from many sides and trying to understands it philosophy I would say that Sin is .. really just that. That yes it is used to stop some pretty nasty behavior okay. But also it is used to define very normal natural human behavior as sin. Hence free guilt!

  • @masticina Christians do not live in Guilt. If they do, it is due to a misunderstanding. Jesus paid it all. Those who beleive in him have accepted his perfect payment and are therefore GUILT FREE. Christian do still sin however a true Christian will sin less and less out of love for God. Christians will not stop sinning altogether until after death of the body - but not the soul/spirit! Jesus paid the penalty of all sin, already.

  • @ThinkAware

"Christians do not live in Guilt. If they do, it is due to a misunderstanding. Jesus paid it all"

I don't like where this leads to because this might lead to "well you can be a serial killer, rape goats but as long as you are a christian you are saved" Not helping the case.

So.. you are saying that Christians are not perfect.. well I knew. Easy to see if you look around you. I still worry about what you seem to say that you are automatic forgiven for what you do >

  • @masticina Have no worry. I agree with you. Actions still have consequences, both in the physical and the spiritual.

  • @ThinkAware

    > See for some people this is a permanent get out of hell free card. A "Well I can do what I want I am safe and secure where I go to" kinda thinking.

Personally I rather like people with personal responsibility. I do understand that you certainly didn't mean it as I written out but.. damn.. it is an open door you just kicked there. There will be people who will abuse this method!

I rather stick with personal responsiblity.

  • @masticina You are right, and I agree with you. Anyone taking my previous comment that way would be misunderstanding it. I should have talked about the difference between justification and ongoing sanctification. Maybe QC will do a video explaining that.

  • @ThinkAware

    I understand :)

I got nothing against people believing things as long as they don't exclude the world we all life in. Dangerous things are possible to happen once you stop caring about what you do to others.. in this world we are all stuck in.

Responsibility all the way if everybody works together to make things work .. and not to much goes wrong. Eh life can be very good!

  • @ThinkAware And really sometimes you just wish that certain religious groups and people you know religious or not had taken the worldly effects into account. It is impossible not to hurt others, every breath you take is a breath someone else might had taken. But one at least can understand what they are causing. And when not to be silent...
