Thumbs up. I add this fantastic video to my "Diamond League" playlist. It is a real
gem and hard to surpass when it comes to imagination. Here artistry and fantasy merge together and harmony results from that otherwise improbable union.
OMG!!! This is EPIC!!! It was hella worth the time you put into it!!! :) I used to think of this song when Kirk was getting turned into an android too!!! LMFAO!!!
Great video! Y'know, they did a better makeup job on Orion women in the Original Series than they did in Abrams' film. This girl isn't a phony-looking dyed-pea green here. It looks like a color a person's skin could actually come in... so to speak.
I hope you had the chance to enter this into a music video contest at a Star Trek Convention.
I just uploaded my first Star Trek music video on my channel. Watch it when you have some time & let me know what you think. The theme is Losira, the hot alien woman at 0:45 from the TOS episode, "That Which Survives," who had the death touch & was played by Miss America & Catwoman actress, Lee Meriwether.
@j0hndrake Thank you for the kind words, and I'm really glad you liked it! I never entered this in any video contest, but when one comes up, I will consider it. :)
Your Losira video is awesome! The timing is perfect, I had a smile the whole time I watched it. :D
This masterpiece of yours must have taken a lot of time to assemble. The synching of the audio, deciding which scenes to match to which sections of the song, all of the cutting, pasting, & re-encoding.
Definitely a labor of love!
I use VirtualDub for my video editing. It's a free & open source program. What do you use?
@j0hndrake I used Windows Movie Maker to create this, since at the time I had nothing better. :P But since then I downloaded Vegas Pro, which is somewhat better but I really don't know how to use most of its functions. I will definitely check out VirtualDub to see how it fares!
And yes, this video did take a long time to get the sync right, and it crashed Windows Movie Maker a few times, but it was worth it in the end. :)
I just LOVE how well you matched up what was said in the song. When it said "I got to know your name" you put their written names on those tubes! And on "Private number" you put the android's model numbers!!!! The friendship part between Kirk and McCory sealed the deal! By the time I got to "closer" I was grinning!
Great job! I also like the part Kirk was spinning on that thing, and the dancing green Veena!
AWESOME! i really liked that you used the scenes with the Orion slave girl, the dancing from Plato's Stepchildren, and Kirk spinning on that, idk, android machine thing? Can't remember what the name of that episode is... Anyway, I loved this!!
I think they're two ordinary crewmen (both wearing Lt stripes) fighting in 'This Side of Paradise' after Kirk releases the sound which makes everyone angry and breaks the power of the spores. I think!
LOL! Great job! I can appreciate how difficult the editing must have been, but you really matched everything up so well. I especially loved Scotty's dee-jay hand scratching on the transporter control at 2:00. Sheer genius! ;-)
One of the best TOS music video that I've seen! It must have been a very hard work but the editing is fantastic and the result is thrilling! 1:58 - 2:06 perfection!!!!

Yep, that's right. It's Kirk's blond bimbo friend, Tyree, and his Kanutu-woman wife, Nona, the tribe's horny witch doctor woman. ;-)
