OK LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR,.. there is a point to be made for wearign the burka,..in their thoughts it is to keep a realtionship private between mn and woman ,.. having said that , i will have to add it is a complete choice of the woamn if you ask me,.. it is her life, her being, her apearance and her right to choose whatever she likes to do with that, t be who and what she ants to be , to live and see the world as an equal to all walking behind none.
If I was raised in a family and community full of people who always smiled proudly when I put on a certain piece of clothing, and constantly told me how dignified and honorable it was, I'd probably think it was great to wear it, too. Even if it meant my eyesight slowly deteriorated under the veil. Even if I almost never felt a breeze on my face. Even if no one could see my expression when I communicated. I'd probably feel naked without it...
@MissAPierce (cont)... and to be surrounded by people of a different way of life telling me I couldn't wear it would be nerve-wracking. It would seem like such a hostile demand.
Of course there are women willing to step forward and say they like spending their lives in head-to-toe cloth sacks. Why would they believe they're being wronged when everyone close to them has told them since birth that they should see it as something liberating? It's called brainwashing.
If my religion said I can wear a ski mask and then enter in a bank, would that be OK? If you want to wear one, then you have no right to enter any public facility that considers it a security risk.
these people are making a debate about a small thing. the Burqa is not compulsory in Islam its a womens choice to wear it and also Islam is being targeted WHY ? because our religion is the fastest growing religon in the world and also because most of the people despise Islam. It is not even mandatory in Islam to wear the burka yet these women have decided to take the extra step for their own personal religious reasons. Is that your definition of oppression? There are people in the world right now who are being killed and treated unfairly by their own country's evil dictators. THOSE people are the ones oppressed. Have you turned a blind eye to that? Or have you just used this as an excuse to bash Islam?

The Burqa is a choice Women make in Islam. It is for modesty, they want to keep their face and bodies for their husbands only. This is a choice they make and it entirely up to them.
This French overweight pig needs to take a look in the mirror and address the real problems in Paris. Like hygiene. There women don't even shave the arms, legs and armpits.
I agree with Tariq. We should drop the pretext. We, in the West, don't want you Islamic fundamentalist living amongst us. Take your hateful, vicious, idiotic beliefs back to the hell-holes you came from. We find your very presence an offense to our values. Our tolerance does not extend to tolerating your intolerance. Go home to your poor, repressed nations. We've had it with every last one of you. If you want to be a modern person, stay. Otherwise, go.
the first lady in the burka with her whole face covered is a DISCRACE to Islam. Nowhere in the Qur'an does it say to dress like that. All you that follow man made hadith are corrupting the words of God and you wonder why others look upon Islam as an alien religion, because of your man made ideologies!
fuck you,you fucken swine terrorist,i shit in the face of the phedophile gaylord your pseudo prophet muhhamad what ever his damn name is.come here in texas and say the shit you say,and il kick your ass bastard.
nobody can stop Islam!! Islam is most growing religions!!! if Islam is bad religions why to many people in the world except Islam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way media lay about Islam !!! anyone who won't know more about real islam read the QURAN and after that told as what are you think !!! thanks Allah for ISLAM.....
You quote this shaikh. Let me quote Tariq Ramadan, I'm sure you respect him too.
"...the authority of the [Islamic] scholars corresponds to the level of the questions asked by the community. So this is the job of, at least students. If you are students in north america its important to come with this critical mind. To not be emotional and to try to understand and to come with this; a SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE..."
TODAY, EDUCATION IS NOT NEEDED!! The needed now is a strenght for qital.. We have no excuse to abandon qital unless disabled.. We have no excuse! Remember, education now is just brainwashing the youths..
i'll stop this converstation.. I cant have nothing with this.. As sheikh anwar al awlaki said: a person will not believe u unless he's imaan is high.. U have another kind of aqeedah.
subhanallah!! Is the education is the only solution?? Our brother mujahid adviced us, our job is better in staying at home, not mixing! Now a days, evem the niqabi are mixing with non-mahram. And if our mahram die, according to shari'ah law, its not our priority to finance the kids, its our wali, or the bro of our husbands
@hijab96 muslimah is an EDUCATED muslimah. Or would you rather live in a society where there is no Spiritual intelligence and no progress like that of the talibani afghanistan. Would you like to have your nose and ears cut off by your husband? You cannot work as effectively with one hand behind your back. Women need to participate and be heard. The organizers of many of the protests in egypt and libya have been women! Khadeja (the first muslim may allah be please with her) WAS A BUSINESS WOMAN
those women who refused to wear burqah, MEANS- THEY JUST WANT TO FLIRT TO MEN!! they are not following what ALLAH ta'ala says in the qur'an surah alahzab verse 59 and surah an-nur verse 31.
@hijab96 not true. First of all I am a muslim man. But I know plenty of sisters who face discrimination at work because of wearing burqah. Mashallah in our muslim societies Allah has made it easier. In a western society, wearing burqah is especially tough. The women who do so are courageous, may Allah reward them.
@Azamspazam91 i mean without intending... many women now saying "i dont like to wear burqah cos itslike im a old woman already if i wear it, and my jewelries cant never be exposed! and my beauty!" a'udhubillah!
@hijab96 Its in a womans genetic nature to attract attention for a mate. Our bodies have been physically designed to compete with members of the same gender for mates. It is our decision not to conform to the nature of our desires that brings reward with our lord. Whether we know the reasons for His judgement or not, we must listen, and obey. But we must do so with SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE. That means being critical, knowledgeable and analytical. It is in this way that the abassids ruled and
@Azamspazam91 astaghfirullah! Allah said: And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way. [17:32].. and now ur saying its permissible to look for a mate??!! astaghfirullah..
give me daleel in ur opinion! quran wa sunnah daleel not from fake scholars!
@hijab96 developed the highest forms of knowledge and power at the time. Without the Abbassids, Europe would not have made it out of the dark ages in the same way and our world would be entirely different today.
@Azamspazam91 and also another one, if a sister really love Allah, she will do everything to wear the burqah even ifits causes her failure in her career! as it is in the LAW of ALLAH.. even me i stopped studying to save my burqah. and even through my family, they hated me to wear it, my mother even snap my faces- i came from a family that is not religious. but i still insist.cos it is in the LAW OF ALLAH! it is WAJIB!
@hijab96 "Seek knowledge, even if you have to go to china."
Seeking knowledge is also an obligation. I see how you are seeking to be faithful in giving up pursuit of career for Allah's sake. Don't you find it questionable that one would give up one obligation towards faith for another? Its all about balance, moderation.
I believe you shoud go to school, work hard for a career and do so while dressed modestly . The muslim community needs every hard worker it can get. No society can run
@Azamspazam91 now, education is not important! the important now is jihad! jihad is fard ayn now a days.. every muslims, wethere children, women muslims, male muslims must fight!! education is not important now! u know why i left school? becasue i wanted to save my burqah, and i hate the kuffar teaching me to hate the mujahideen.. education now a days is a poison to every muslims.. as it teaches us to be away from deen. even in islamic schools here.. jihad is fard ayn!
@hijab96 Calling education an poison is a serious issue. Just because it is taught by a non muslim does not make the information untrue. Without education we are crippled. This is a sad thought that you would not want your self to be enabled. Tomorrow if your mahram passes away (may Allah prevent it) what will you do. There are thousands of muslim women on the streets all accross the world who are uneducated and unable to change their situation. So they beg for money or do things even worse
@hijab96 for that money, astaghfirullah. Had they been given the opportunity for education and used it to support themselves they might have been better off and still faithful to their Creator. You misread what I said. Is it NOT permissible to flirt and date in the western sense. It IS permissible to meet with a man in the presence of mahram for the purpose of seeking an Islamic marriage. My point is, GENETICALLY, physiologically and anatomically our bodies (male and female) are designed to
@hijab96 replicate genes. We are physically built for reproduction, there is no doubt or flaw in this. What makes us different from an animal is our behavior: we only engage in marital reproductive behavior whereas animals do these acts outside of any wedlock. Education is the solution to many problems in the muslim world. an educated muslimah can be just as faithful to Allah as a uneducated muslimah. In fact, Allah loves a strong believer more than a weak believer. Knowledge is power. A strong
@hijab96 solely on educated men. Our mothers and sisters should be just as educated and just as capable but modest in dress and action. Their struggle to do this is what Allah will judge them on.
May Allah give all of us guidance and knowldege and forgive our short commings. Ameen
@Azamspazam91 education is not wajib for a woman! a woman must better in staying at home cos of fitnah. thats why we women, when going out, we must ask permission to our husbands.. and not traveling without a mahram
their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed. (24:31)
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, {continue above]
the purpose of burqah- so that the men may not be tepted because the beauty and the body of the women!
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (33:59)
I am a Muslim Women who wears the Niqaab (Face-Veil), I have never been forced or pressured to wear it, its my choice, I accept that this is not the case with all wearers but this doesnt mean that i should be banned from making my choice along with the majority of the other women who choose to wear this style of clothing. Any country that claims to be democratic and pro freedom of dress and religion should give this right to all citizens not pick and choose who is allowed to be free and who isnt
In march 11, 2002 in mecca fourteen innocent schoolgirls were burned alive, as they were stopped from evacuating a burning building by the so called religious police. They were claiming that the girls were not wearing there hijab. Any thoughts on the matter ??
Why don't banned Lady Gaga or Madonna... nudity music videos are so much more disturbing than this.... I think that all this debate and banned on Muslim issues would definitely promote Islam to the world to get more convert and worst... giving radical Muslim a reason to flare more terrorist activity. World Peace... Insha'Allah
I'm personaly not really against that thing but hey, it can indeed hide a weapon inside a bank or goverment building or whatever, and in my country not so long ago their was a woman who went to the doctor complaining about a headache, the doctor asked her to have a look at her nek and she wanted to take of her burqa and her husband beaten the doctor almost to death. imean be real people, sometimes it has to come off, and besides its not healthy for your hair and thats a fact:P
@MoveOverCasanova Its up to people who decide what they think 'decent' is. If you had actually visited all the Muslims countries and then made that remark about them being forced, I wouldnt have minded. I wont be arrogant/ignorant about anything. If im wrong im wrong. Its just quite annoying how easily people seem to generalize. Your argument would have actually been great without that generalization. Im sure this wont get anywhere but I appreciate that you talked about this respectfully.
@MoveOverCasanova people have different reasons for wearing it. why should it matter to everyone whether or not someone wears it. its choice. why do you wear what you wear. its your choice. they should have a choice as well.
people talk of freedom of religion and hold double standards about it.
@ArmaanKiDeewani91 oh come on, don´t make yourself look like an idiot -- nuns are an insignificant minority of professionally clerical women, the tschodor etc. is for every woman, you cannot compare it at all -- and it is by the way cheapest propaganda to show some intellectual migrant student wearing that only to provocate and to make themselves important -- the average woman in the islamic countries have no choice at all, they get in serious trouble if they take it off!!
@MoveOverCasanova you have obviously never been to an Muslim country. Visit the southeast Asian Muslims countries ( i live and visit there every summer) and you'll find that not even 15% of the women there were burqa. Im really not understanding how you can say so confidently that its usually forced when majority of the people dont even wear it.If you read the Bible correctly, you'll know that women are told to cover as well. The Abrahamic religions in general share that belief.

I think most people don't realize that women who dress modestly in Islam do it out of obedience to God, not to husbands
TheMrpalid 7 months ago

Remember, education now is just brainwashing the youths..

subhanallah!!

Khadeja (the first muslim may allah be please with her) WAS A BUSINESS WOMAN

those women who refused to wear burqah, MEANS- THEY JUST WANT TO FLIRT TO MEN!! they are not following what ALLAH ta'ala says in the qur'an surah alahzab verse 59 and surah an-nur verse 31.
hijab96 1 year ago
@hijab96 not true. First of all I am a muslim man. But I know plenty of sisters who face discrimination at work because of wearing burqah. Mashallah in our muslim societies Allah has made it easier. In a western society, wearing burqah is especially tough. The women who do so are courageous, may Allah reward them.
Azamspazam91 1 year ago

@Azamspazam91 and also another one, if a sister really love Allah, she will do everything to wear the burqah even ifits causes her failure in her career! as it is in the LAW of ALLAH.. even me i stopped studying to save my burqah. and even through my family, they hated me to wear it, my mother even snap my faces- i came from a family that is not religious. but i still insist.cos it is in the LAW OF ALLAH! it is WAJIB!
hijab96 1 year ago
@hijab96 "Seek knowledge, even if you have to go to china."
Seeking knowledge is also an obligation. I see how you are seeking to be faithful in giving up pursuit of career for Allah's sake. Don't you find it questionable that one would give up one obligation towards faith for another? Its all about balance, moderation.
I believe you shoud go to school, work hard for a career and do so while dressed modestly . The muslim community needs every hard worker it can get. No society can run

@Azamspazam91 now, education is not important! the important now is jihad! jihad is fard ayn now a days.. every muslims, wethere children, women muslims, male muslims must fight!! education is not important now! u know why i left school? becasue i wanted to save my burqah, and i hate the kuffar teaching me to hate the mujahideen.. education now a days is a poison to every muslims.. as it teaches us to be away from deen. even in islamic schools here.. jihad is fard ayn!
hijab96 1 year ago
@hijab96 Calling education an poison is a serious issue. Just because it is taught by a non muslim does not make the information untrue. Without education we are crippled. This is a sad thought that you would not want your self to be enabled. Tomorrow if your mahram passes away (may Allah prevent it) what will you do. There are thousands of muslim women on the streets all accross the world who are uneducated and unable to change their situation. So they beg for money or do things even worse
Azamspazam91 1 year ago
@hijab96 for that money, astaghfirullah. Had they been given the opportunity for education and used it to support themselves they might have been better off and still faithful to their Creator. You misread what I said. Is it NOT permissible to flirt and date in the western sense. It IS permissible to meet with a man in the presence of mahram for the purpose of seeking an Islamic marriage. My point is, GENETICALLY, physiologically and anatomically our bodies (male and female) are designed to
Azamspazam91 1 year ago

I think that all this debate and banned on Muslim issues would definitely promote Islam to the world to get more convert and worst... giving radical Muslim a reason to flare more terrorist activity.

Thanks

@MoveOverCasanova people have different reasons for wearing it. why should it matter to everyone whether or not someone wears it. its choice. why do you wear what you wear. its your choice. they should have a choice as well.
people talk of freedom of religion and hold double standards about it.
ArmaanKiDeewani91 1 year ago
@ArmaanKiDeewani91 it is choice only when she has no problem not wearing it -- would you agree?
MoveOverCasanova 1 year ago
when a Muslim women wears a burqa its a problem, but a nun wears the same thing, its ok...does that really make sense to you?
ArmaanKiDeewani91 1 year ago
@ArmaanKiDeewani91 oh come on, don´t make yourself look like an idiot -- nuns are an insignificant minority of professionally clerical women, the tschodor etc. is for every woman, you cannot compare it at all -- and it is by the way cheapest propaganda to show some intellectual migrant student wearing that only to provocate and to make themselves important -- the average woman in the islamic countries have no choice at all, they get in serious trouble if they take it off!!
MoveOverCasanova 1 year ago
@MoveOverCasanova you have obviously never been to an Muslim country. Visit the southeast Asian Muslims countries ( i live and visit there every summer) and you'll find that not even 15% of the women there were burqa. Im really not understanding how you can say so confidently that its usually forced when majority of the people dont even wear it.If you read the Bible correctly, you'll know that women are told to cover as well. The Abrahamic religions in general share that belief.
