But Janet is definitely the greatest female entertainer and to make it out of the shadow of being Michael Jacksons little sister to JANET JACKSON on her own speaks volumes in itself. Actually, it Bellagirl06 is right in a way. The dance idea for Rhythm Nation DID come from Michael. Janet called him to ask if she could use it because he was going to do something similar for his next video.

Janet called Michael and asked if she could 'steal' (jokingly) his ideas for her next video, and he said, laughing, 'I could choke you!!' Because he was going to use those ideas himself. But then he said he loved his sis and she could have it.

It was a very sweet story actually.
