  • Lars could be persona non grata but fuck it ... I aint a persona ... Long live to the Lars' movies

  • This movie is about depression, something which I suffer. Yet, the movie didn't leave me feeling depressed, instead it left me on a high.

  • G0D, Look!! Want To See this Movie in High Quality now here at FullMovies3.up.to D0n't miss it out! Check it!

  • EMOTIONALLY DRAINING

  • A stunning film.Everyday people face their own end of the world...it's not science fiction.

  • My mind has been fu-fu-fuuuucked. Whats up with this trailer, whats it about? O_O

  • @marvelgeek24 See the film and interpret what you think its about... What I will tell you is at a point in the film she is shown being deeply depressed. A bit too complicated to explain

  • i'd say it's not just about some planet, it's something that deep down inside your soul which u don't wanna face it even yourself

  • Isn't that the woman that snipped her clitoris off?

    thought so...

  • 1:49- At least we know its not a happy ending xP

  • The movie is terrible

  • this movie reminds me when people say Nibiru is comming lol and Nasa said its not real they dont see nothing

  • Chuck

  • This movie is amazing! I want to watch it again!

  • mediachola o cholaymedia

  • This is mind blowing you feel every emotion... the film pulls at all my feelings and is true to itself start to finish...

  • It's Unreal! Great Opportunity to watch This Awesome Movie in Full now here at M0viesFull.got.to 0MG! This is so Crazy!

  • Just saw it. Not for everyone but I loved it.

  • I find myself in the meaning of the word melancholy, but I hate this actress. She ruined Spiderman for me.

  • Majora's Mask: The movie

  • ho'kay, so heres de earth

  • I could spend hours analysing this film. This is amazingly shot & intensively symbolic. It is a wonderful portrayal of depression, anxiety, suicide, destruction & creating the ultimate facade. I felt that it was incredibly emotive, I felt dragged into Justine's fog, tied down by the roots of depression, floating just above the surface. I loved Claire's air of togetherness, underpined by deep apprehesion and anxiety. I liked the inevitablity, that in amongst chaos there is a pattern of certainty.

  • @bullshitright You forgot to use the word 'poignant'

  • @whyishow indeed I did :-)

  • @bullshitright thats deep

  • I had high hopes for this movie, and was extremely let down. Horrible and inconsistent story-telling and characters. Overrated acting. But it was very artsy and had beautiful imagery, so people are more inclined to call it a good film.

  • planetx?

  • Lars VOn Trier, seriously? His movies are retarded.

  • It's a movie about the fear of inevitability, facing inner fractures or a hopeless future.

  • Is this better than "Antichrist"? Cuz I didn't like that film. It's creative in a visual sense, but it was too much...

  • Melancholía arrasa en los premios del cine europeo

    los35milímetros

  • And once again i watch a trailer to read the comments and then some stupid guy with no *SPOILER* alert tells me the end. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • @tavokoti Well, the director tells the end, right at the start. Some plot spoiler is is not.

  • "Depression" is not a mental illness. What is called "depression" these days is a quite sane and normal result of the chronic repression of sadness or grief. The overwhelming majority of humans are uncomfortable with the expression of sadness and so from a young age we unknowingly train ourselves to stop feeling it. We cut ourselves off from our truest nature. Most people are comfortable with sacrificing their true feeling nature in order to belong. Others despair for what has been lost.

  • @JarVonRitter Thank you! exactly what I think. If you practice mindfullness and meditate you can get over those obsticals

  • @JarVonRitter

I couldn't have said it any better!

  • What music is being played in this trailer?

  • @mattyagogo13 im pretty sure it is vogner

  • in order to understand the film, or any of Lars Von Triers films, you may need to understand him first. The Films aren't about him personally, but the harshest depression imaginable. He does not create FOR his depression, he doesnt care for it, he creates out of pure ARTISTRY like any another Director. The movie is difficult and stressful to watch, because thats exactly what its supposed to do. Pain & sorrow, for knowing a greater truth to life, an absurdist view. "lets die on the fukin toilet"

  • One of the most liked comments has too many spelling errors to even be believable.

  • I do not understand what the film is about... this clip was a bit confusing.

  • This movie was incredible. The final scene was awe-inspiring. I know that it is an analogy for depression, but I also saw this film as being a rumination on death. In a sense, we will all have to face our own Melancholia someday, our personal end of the world.

  • Just enjoy the film and stop analyzing.

  • @outworldarts Why? What's wrong with analyzing? Some people enjoy watching films and analyzing them.

  • @aFemale1

go to watch Twilight...that's for people like you

  • Alexander Skarsgard is the best!

  • Would suck so bad if this actually happened

  • @awkwarddaisy I don't think so. we are killing ourself and actually knowing it. i rather let the nature kill us than us killing ourself...

  • every thing is nice except for one thing they didnt include spiderman in it

  • where is kirsten dunst's tits?

  • There is a reason these movies are being put out... there are more truth to them than most people realize.

  • @joonipuur so what is melancholia about really?

  • @joonipuur Yea and there really is a ring to rule them al!

  • @Enuxxx Lol, you know how they say that fiction imitates life... well, they have it backwards... Life imitates fiction. Thought creates reality. If we can imagine it, then it is possible. Even flying monkeys. ;)

  • @joonipuur This was all about the planets colliding. They are telling us something and it may be about the coming Niburu or whatever cataclysmic thing that happens every 26,000 years that the pyramid complex with the sphinx in Egypt was recorded to show the precession.

  • @BuckFutterd I thought it was going to be either a solar flare becuse NASA confirmed unusual activity on the sun or a flood because of global warming cause look around you the wether is CHANGING. But now earth colliding WOW didn't hear about that yet.

  • @FititousSerendipity It could be a flare, I through out Niburu because it has been said many times before. And to tell you the truth it could be a either a solar flare or when the precession of the equinox 26,000 years gets to the point that the poles have flipped and the magnetic field is almost non existent around the planet. Ask yourself what killed off the Megafauna over 15,000 years ago. Radiation is a possibility, big animals don't fare well in it.

  • Horrible trainer for an amazing film.

  • This is movie as about the earth gets a girlfriend and they kiss

  • @Jijou3 then earth must feel so lonely atm

  • @Jijou3 That's so dumb dude, I love it!

    Hahaha.

  • LOL the sheer gravity from an object that big would cause the earth to become uninhabitable before it ever hit us =\

  • @krypter3 Douche.

  • @AlexandCodypros just cause I understand the science of a planet approaching ours and mock it.

  • @krypter3 You claim to know about this stuff yet you correlate planet size with gravity. That's false. You're forgetting about density.

  • @krypter3 yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh..........but its a movie bro! haahaha! and a beautiful one too!

  • whats the song that appears half way thorugh the trailer?

  • @RollandsGhost Wagner's Tristan and Isolde

  • Its all about the symbolism. How many depressed, which used the be called melancholics years ago go around w/ smiles on their faces pretending everything is just nice and bright for the sake of others??? Justine life was just an exemple a glimpse inside of a person who suffer from this mental illness. . At the end, it just showed me that in the midst of all of that caos( the end of the world) Justine, was the strong one able to actually feel sane and strong.

  • @brasilguy74 On the other hand, Justine's own depression served as a detachment from the terrible event about to unfold. The movies was haunting and disturbing.

  • @RachelBGreen I have to agree with. I can be haunting, disturbing is the nature a an mental illness. I myself have struggled w/ feelings of depression from time to time, it was just a small window into someone's soul afflicted by it. Btw, thanks for commenting back.

  • @brasilguy74 those who are depressed rejoice when they know the earth is going to crash into another planet? That might be true but I would not label that as 'sane' and 'strong'.

  • @brasilguy74 its more than just about depression though, its about Control/no-control and the constraints put on each of the characters by the patriarchy

  • @brasilguy74 i am spamming the 'thumbs up' button. why aren't you a world known critique yet?

  • @existtraiesc Hehehehe! I hope you're not just pulling my chain. But I did enjoy the movie very much. Did you?

  • @brasilguy74 at first it looked like one of those boring movies that Tryes to show you the life of an/two individual(s). Melancholia it's much more than that, and it deffenetly caught my interest and apreciation.

  • @brasilguy74 Exactly. Hey where did you see this film? It didn't play here on Long Island.

  • @Paperhouse81 It's playing in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, FYI.

  • @brasilguy74 You mean sluts? Dunst's character was a whole, I lost interest right after that fact was revealed.

  • This film was an analogy, that the Lars Von Trier between Melancholia (a mental condition marked by persistent depression and ill-founded fears) and a fictional planet named 'Melancholia'. There were so many parallels in the story. One of them. Melancholia the planet hides behind the sun, so the only thing you see is brightness ..... right?

  • this is just amazing

  • Where the hell is spiderman ?

  • Absolutely soul-shattering and crushing, but very beautiful and visually stunning nonetheless.

  • Melancholia is now available on Demand from Comcast before it hits the movie theaters in 15 days.

  • are you serious? a fuckin movie about more nibiru bullshit?

  • nunggu ganool beraksi

  • Very pretentious director.

  • Tristan und Isolde music is pure thrill...

  • Haha reading all the comments and now Im sure that most of humanity is simple minded :)

  • @aboveinspace including you :)

  • where the hell is Bruce Willis and his crew?!?

  • @Barsabus Dude half of his crew died on the mission and he did as well when he blew the asteroid :( We have no chance now...

  • @Barsabus ahahahahahah :D

  • @Barsabus, I guess that with 2012 around the corner a movie about the end of the world, no last minute rescue by Willis & friends was bound to be released. It reminded of Knowing as well, I loved Dunst as the main character holding the rest of the others insane or at the end. The end is one of the more beautiful apocalyptic finales I have ever seen.

  • Lars von Trier kann ein nazi sein, aber er ist noch ein wunderbarer regisse!

  • *machtlose poezie**

  • Lars von Trier is a very inspiring filmmaker! His influence can be seen in my most recent project, a no-budget "art"/horror short film. the trailer for which can be found on my channel.

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • Just because you read conspiracy theories doesnt mean you're better read than others! Nibiru can aslo refer to a planet written about by an ancient astronaut theorist who said he used ancient Babylonian texts to discover Nibiru and said it approaches Earth every 3,600 years and that the inhabitants of both planets could interact.

Give me a break! This movie is a "what if" and pure fantasy not a warning of things to come. Talk to you all Dec. 22, 2012 :-)

  • To the person talking about 'nabiru' its actually spelled 'nibiru'. THe idea of this so called Planet X was proposed by a lady named Nancy Lieder who believed she could communicate and was sent messages from extra terrestrials through an implant in her head. She hypothesized that it would come near Earth and stop its rotation for what would be about 6 earth days... oh ya she said it would happen in 2003.

  • so im just watching it right now as im leaving this comment..so far m not impressed... only 20 minutes in..and the senile old dad is stealing spoons like an asshole and teaching his grandkids how to be assholes too!!.. and have you noticed the official trailer youtube channel is banning all negative comments!?!?! which are most of them!! .. i just wanna see them collide!..

  • WTF is NASA doing the whole time, how could they not see that coming ???

  • Seen it and it was Fucking Ace!!!!

  • what happened to the husband, idk cuz i skipped cuz the movie was so long xD

  • @Liltoonz54 he committed suicide when he realized melancholia was hitting earth.

  • @Liltoonz54 justine (kirsten dunst) kill her husband and the she did eat him.. she just bit the meat out of his body ..

  • @jpslinkz *nibiru

  • two sisters find their already strained relationship challenged as a mysterious new planet threatens to collide into the earth. does that answer all your questions?

  • 122 of U dnt know whats going on because you limit ur knowledge to either planet earth or the happenings in it or whats coming out of your brainwashing device called tv!! this movie and other movies b4 and to come is referring to a planet called nabiru which is fact and is already been sighted....it is in binary orbit with planet earth! you need to teach your selves and become more knowledgeable about your solar system and the systems beyond!Earth is not the only planet that has life on it it..

  • Its planet X thats what this is all referring to....

  • This looks beautiful and weird.

  • MARY JANE!!! :D

  • For anyone confused as to what this might be, I can hazard a guess. There is a young couple who is about to be married, news comes that the earth is doomed, everyone is going to die. The purpose of marriage is procreation, and the future, meaning everything is called into question. What good is a marriage relying on a long future, when the world will soon be destroyed?

    That's my guess anyway.

  • It's ART, no need to understand it, just enjoy the experience !

  • @AumBrother exactly!!!

  • SOOOOO is the planet a metaphor, or is some other planet actually colliding with earth, than why the gay love story bullshit???????

  • A Cannes festival film, well that explains it all.

  • what does the title mean?

  • planet X or.. Nibiru..google

  • @tulkasino Thank you. Everyone else is stupid.

  • How in the hell can a planet just come out of nowhere? We would have known about it for decades before hand.

  • The Earth is being hit by another planet called Melancholia what's so hard to understand???

  • @grady2010 OOOH!THE TOP COMMENTS MAKE SO MUCH MORE SNECE NOW!

  • @grady2010 well let's hope they die for the sake of anything happening in this movie

  • @grady2010 The movie is about depression and melancholia is a type of depression .

  • I'm seeing this because of the scenery

  • i got shivers watching this trailer...i hope Gainsbourg pleasures herself again like in AntiChrist

  • @luvs2sploog3 lol. very nice.

  • Am I the only one or does this movie ring a bell with The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask?

  • @tyoan13 dude i just started playing that game 2 days ago!, i never gave it a chance back in 2000, AWESOME GAME! can't wait for Skyward Sword! :D

  • Beznadziejny film, dopiero 30 min przed końcem zaczyna się coś dziać,wcześniej można usunąć. Żadnego przekazu, żadnej głębokiej analizy.

  • That ending is damn frightening.

  • we are gonna die part 1:55
